Politics & Baba Ramdev

Just one decade ago Baba Ramdev was unknown name in India and across world but with Yoga and Breathing exercises (Pranayama) lesson to Indians through television channels and Exhibitions, free of cost, which resulted to benefits score of people to recover from incurable disease’s, they were carrying from years and become part of their lives despite taking allopathic medicines, even as per some reports when Baba Ramdev was child he was victim of paralysis disease whom he recovered through yoga, later on Baba Ramdev start producing herbal medicines whom across India he start selling at cost mean without profit, all his efforts with sincerity ,honestly and hard work make him popular not only in India but across globe now he become name of every household. Baba Ramdev is one of the most respectable personality, whose followers are countless and from all walk of life of society, regardless of cast, creed and religion they are rich, poor, politicians and celebrities .In few years Baba Ramdev successfully erect ‘Pranayama Empire’ worth Crores of Rupees. Baba Ramdev gradually starts touching sins of society which he feels are not good for our country and they are making our country weak like corruption, adulteration, inflation and black money of Indians which are deposited in tax heaven countries. Baba Ramdev was very critical on foreign company’s invasion in Indian market especially by soft drinks (Cola) which as per his opinion are earning money by selling drinks which if a person consume on daily basis then strong chemicals these drinks contains can harm body badly even weaken our bones.
Baba Ramdev’s straight forwardness, honesty and do for society without selfishness always mesmerize people and supported by countrymen, recently he feels that corruption at highest level in our system whether it is in politics or bureaucracy, who are liable to run country but because of full authority and power make them part to earn money illegally which is supposed to go in for the development of country, their decision and work show no credibility and transparency.
Recently on 16th March, 2010 Baba Ramdev launches political party by name ‘Bharat Swabhiman Party’ and declared that his party would filed candidates in all 543 seats of Loksabha election which will held in the year 2014 and his main motto is to build corruption free India. Right now period is four years away but for him the time is not only to make his party strong across India but also to look for clean images workers and leaders so that with passing time not only they gain experience but also earn name by doing public work as in today’s scenario to attract and add workers with party is very tough job when every where in our system corruption, adulteration, cheating, bribery have very strong existence and people’s faith on to our leaders are all time low. Chief Minister of Utter Pradesh Mayawati in her party’s latest function makes target Baba Ramdev by saying now Baba’s also entering politics. By announcing political party Baba Ramdev make rivals of political parties, they knows that motive of Baba Ramdev to build corruption free India will certainly make their existence in danger as lot of leaders are facing litigations. Right now after his announcement of Political party people are divided in two parts in his favour and against –
  • Pro – Indian public at large is in support of Baba Ramdev and his mission to make political party and build corruption free India, because they are hopeless from their present leaders as they never consider problems face by common people during their term except in the last year, if they don’t announce and take populist measures then chances to remain in power is not possible.
  • Anti – Only political parties are against Baba Ramdev’s entry in the politics because they know that if anybody with motto to erase corruption, bring back black money of country, public friendly governance then they have very dark and blur stay in politics as lot of leaders are facing charges.
Now success and failure of Baba Ramdev’s mission is lie in the future which is four years away and to make successful Baba Ramdev has to do lot of hard work, but if one is determine to hit target with sincerity then nobody on this earth can stop it to achieve the goal as there is saying which inspired from flying birds –
We may be small but we are big enough to conquer the world

Politics of Vengeance

From past two decades in some states of country it has been seen that ruling party leaders try to use power to defame leaders of opposition parties and book them in false cases’, when power shifts to other party then same process carry on by ruling party, but with politics of vengeance state suffer the most as ruling party which needs to focus on to the developments and prosperity projects, instead gives priority to book cases’ against the opposition leaders and projects started by previous government either comes to halt or stop on the name of shortage of funds or corruption in allotting the projects, atmosphere of tension always remain in the air because of tussle between two parties workers and leaders. In a democratic set up power is such a bubble which keeps on bursting, as public are supreme who with their votes have authority to dictate next term in office for leaders and which often goes to the party depending upon their party leaders performance, so power is not in the domain of leaders, it keeps on changing from party to party but if parties in power do the work for developments and prosperity of the areas they belong then it will be beneficiary for state, people and parties. States which are vengeance in recent times we can name –
  • Tamilnadu – When D.M.K. parties was in power before their present terms then their leaders insulted opposition party leader Jailalita in the parliament and harass her through different channels of government machinery which create anger in her mind against the ruling party chief, and in the next assembly elections when people mandate her party and she comes into power then she did the same against the opposition party leader chief and book him under cases which gives birth to a new politics of vendetta in the state.
  • Utter Pradesh- Utter Pradesh is state which has privilege of sending maximum numbers of M.P.s’ to the Loksabha, but in recent time it’s in news because of politics of vendetta by its ruling party leaders against opposition party chief and their party’s workers which is by no mean a good news for the residents of the state, now It becomes battle ground of two parties Bahujan Samaj Party and Samajwadi Party. As per information Mayawati who is Chief Minister of Utter Pradesh in the span of very short period registered hundred of cases against the chief of Samajwadi Party Mulyam Singh Yadav, who was in power in the state before her term begins as chief minister.
  • Punjab – Punjab state is one more state of the country known for political rivalry between Indian National Congress Party and Akali Dal, when Indian National Congress party was in rule Akali Dal leaders blames on to the government that Congress party is doing politics of vendetta against their leaders and workers and now Akali Dal is in power with its alliance partner, Indian National Congress leaders are vocal that Akali Dal is registering cases’ against the congress party leaders and on to their workers which are nothing more then vengeance. In a democratic set up difference of opinions in the ideology of political parties are bound to exists, but it should not be drag to personnel levels or political enmity levels, which is bad. Good news is that considering the atmosphere of tension and jealous among each other parties workers and leaders, both parties agreed and trying to remove the political vendetta in their ruling and working style which will give birth to the new political atmosphere of peace in the state, right now as per information both present and former Chief minister of state are spending hours in the courts on fortnight basis. There is saying –
Politics is full of possibilities, no body is permanent friend or foe, there may be different of opinion or ideology but they are not personnel.

Punjab & Electricity

Punjab State had privilege of most prosperous state of country in the past, now from several years facing acute shortage of one of the element of modern times that is Power. As per reports there is huge gap between demand and supply which is not only in the summer season but also in the winter season when demand drops significantly, so if electricity board is unable to meet the demand in winter season of power then it mean throughout year residents of state spend time under power cuts and this year was the second consecutive year when power shedding was in force in the winter season which was unschedule and undeclared by the authorities, which as per concerned authority of State Electricity Board power purchased from other states in the summer season was on banking system means it has to be return in winter ,as their demand increases, so fact of the matter is that residents of state has to bear the power crisis and live under load shedding until and unless any new power plant not erect in the state. Winter season load shedding leave little impact on lives as compare to summer season when life become haywire because of –
  • Scorching unbearable heat because of mercury touches new levels.
  • Last year heavy power cuts which as per reports counted to somewhere thirteen to fifteen hours in a day across state.
  • Badly effected students because these are the days when they prepare for their final exams
adding insult to injury Punjab State Regulatory Commission hike prices last year in the month of October but revision was effective from the month of April and it was collected from them in equal installments in coming bills, but if anybody have right to ask from authorities if customers not get electricity in the month of April for thirteen to fifteen hours then what’s the logic that they pay more money on to the service whom they have not get? Answer of this query is that Government is giving free or subsidies power to some sections of society but putting the burden of this exercise on to other categories like domestic and industrial.
Now this practice of Electricity board to issue bills with arrears are again started and latest electricity bills board is issuing with increase price, but when people enquire from boards concerned department they get information that prices of power is hike from April month and next six bills customers will get with arrears; along with it Government in this year budget has revised tax from ten percent to thirteen just to meet the free power sops,. the frustrated angel of revision in the tax slab is that other states have taxes on electricity just to increase production of power in their respective states but Punjab state has force tax to meet the subsidies and free power, that’s not all, speculations are in the air that coming days Punjab State Electricity Commission is preparing to increase rates further Alliance partner is equally responsible for the crisis of power in state. People has question for Government ,which they never get chance to ask that is if they unable to get power twenty four hours in winter season then how common people of the state will spend the time in coming summer season without power? In coming years to get power supply for twenty four hours appears a dream which will remain a dream for next several years until and unless power generation not increase otherwise situation is getting worse with every passing time as far electricity is concern, in the state because it will not be over with austerity measures but new power plants have to be erect in the state. Last year was not good in the summer season; hopefully this year Government has make arrangements to leave behind worst of last year.

The names of the team not finalise yet and stadium in Pune is under construction and will be completed this year but for Kochi team until stadium does not erect they will be allotted stadium in other part of country. When asked will Pakistani players be part of next IPL, Mr. Modi answer diplomatically by saying I want they should be part of next IPL but it will be decides in the month of September or October when auction will be held.

Yuvraj: No Thanks

In the year 1982 New Delhi hosted Asian Games, along with it citizen of India witness first time Television programme in colour , yes it was for few hours in a day, and Doordarshan across country telecast television programmes through relay stations and also set up in different part of country Doordarshan Kendra’s to produce and telecast local /regional language programmes to cater local audience, telecast was in terrestrial mode mean to receive programme consumer had to install antenna at the top of house towards the direction from where it catches the signals. As in 1982 television was infant thus it was unable to attract people of country and failed to appetite people’s entertainment hunger so also got name as Idiot box, but after the gap of 28 years now television is fully grown and mature, become competitor to its big brothers cinema and print media as with the press of a button of remote control every thing is at disposable to the customer in his house from music, news, cinema, drama, sports, cartoon, religious programme, regional programmes and share markets across the global, also as live feed whenever anything takes place in the world thus makes world a small village which is accessible from anywhere, as per rough estimates, unconfirmed reports and unofficially right now consumers have access to three hundred and fifty channels to four hundred channels at their finger tips and every categories of channels are available in double digits broadcasting by different groups in the country, the whole scene in the span of 28 years changed in television industry of India from Television sets to transmission to channels –
  • from monopoly to competition
  • from few hours of transmission to round the clock
  • from terrestrial mode to satellite mode
  • from blur telecast to crystal clear audio and video signals
  • from analogue to digital mode
So in the era of competition it bound to happen and it is visible that producers are always in search of new concept and programmes to woo the customers to glue with their channel which will benefit them in return with increase in their Television Rating Programme (T.R.P.) , resulting in they will get their air time sold at very high price to the corporate houses’ which is of course their source of income other then subscription fees.
Producers five years back were producing local programmes but as mentioned before in every categories score of channels are available thus producers and owners are always on hunt for new but innovative programmes, they started tie up with foreign players but after the gap of sometime ,they started getting right of famous and hit programmes of other countries and produce programme as per interest and demand of local viewers, now recently they are chasing new concept by name reality shows, programme produce and present in such a way that it left impact and curiosity on the viewers and until and unless it not comes to an end customers will stick with their programme.
NDTV Imagine drama channel of New Delhi Television (N.D.T.V.) in a move to present new programme under reality category had made a programme by name Swayamber, in its first edition they hosted Swayamber(at the time of dynasty rule kings use to host Swayamber for their scion)of famous item girl Rakhi Sambat and in the last episode she suppose to choose a groom to marry but in the last episode she surprise everybody by announcing that she will right now only engaged but later on she will marry with him. After passing sometime she declared she is not going to marry with her finance as he was in the show just to clear his debt by cashing in her name and getting some programmes, but as far Rakhi Sambat is concern she is well known for doing such thing just to get fame and remain in the news, perhaps it was one more such link. In second edition channel organised Swayamber of Rahul Mahajan son of late politician of Pramod Mahajan and it just concluded in which he married to Dimpy Ganguly of Calcutta and it is second marriage of both Dimpy and Rahul Mahajan. Will it be their successful marriage or they will split? Fact lies in future and in coming days it will be clear no need to put pressure on mind and guess. Now as per news, channel approached unmarried cricketers of country M. S. Dhoni, Srisanth and Yuvraj, but both M.S.Dhoni and Srisanth deny on the spot and Yuvraj not respond positive or negative ,so it give birth to speculations that third edition of Swayamber will be of Yuvraj, but giving rest to blur atmosphere of speculations he clear his stand today ,Yuvraj deny that he is going to have Swayamber he is totally focus on cricket because of injury his career get set back, it is wish of her mother to have Swayamber of me as she watch such programme., but he has no intention for any Swayamber.

Gold(en) Day !

Today’s ambitious generation of India always try to explore new ways to establish themselves career wise and certainly have successfully prove themselves correct whether it is sports, education ,information technology or entrepreneurship. With every passing day they are touching new heights. In the past youth had very less and limited opportunities but today is the age of globalization so the sky is unlimited to explore only necessity is of passion, burring desire to achieve something then impossible word have no place in their lexicon as impossible word itself says –
                 Impossible – I M Possible
in the past our youth motivated from Hockey or Cricket to opt as career because in both these sports Indians were achieving international recognition and able to earn money handsomely which is enough for young buddies to choose these sports as career ,now it is visible in other sports also that Indians are doing wonders like Chess, Shooting, Badminton, Tennis, Snooker and Boxing to name few sports, but Boxers since Vijender Singh comes into limelight in Beijing Olympics by winning Silver Medal and then after his performance in Boxing Championship held in Milan year 2009 he becomes world’s number one Boxer in 75 kilogram middle weight category in the rankings of Association Internationale de Boxe Amateur(A.I.B.A.). We keep on hearing, reading and watching news of our Boxers are doing consistently good in the international tournaments.
Just recently in two different level international tournaments our Boxers played really very very good and won medals in different categories of bouts. Asian Youth Boxing Championship which held in Tehran capital of Iran our two Boxer won gold medals, three won silver medals and four won bronze medals whose detail are as follow –
Gold Medalists  –
  1. Vikas Krishnan (60 kilogram)
  2. Naveen (81 Kilogram)
Silver Medalists
  1. Devendro Singh Lessram(48 kilogram)
  2. V. Naga Arjun(57 Kilogram )
  3. Sumit Saagwaan(75 kilogram)
Bronze Medalists -
  1. Shri Niwas Subroto(51 kilogram)
  2. Harpal Singh(64 kilogram)
  3.  Manoj Kumar(91 Kilogram)
  4. Rajat(plus 91 kilogram)
The 5th Commonwealth Boxing Championship had witnessed over one hundred Boxers from fourteen countries in over 100 bouts from 12th to17th March, 2010 at Talkatora Stadium had compete for this prestigious title. The Boxers were divided in ten weight categories of 49 kilograms, 52 kilograms, 56 kilograms, 60 kilograms, 64 kilograms, 69 kilograms, 75 kilograms, 81 kilograms, 91 kilograms, + 91 kilograms. In this Championships Indian made history and won first time six gold medals in the Commonwealth Boxing Championship. In the Commonwealth Boxing Championship Indians two best participation years before 2010 were-
2007 –One Gold; Two Silver; Three Bronze
2005- Four Gold; Three Silver
Winner of Six Gold Medalists in the fifth Commonwealth Boxing Championships are –
  1. Amandeep(49 Kilogram) Light fly weight category
  2. Surenjay Singh(52 Kilogram ) Fly weight category
  3. Jai Bhagwan(60 Kilogram ) light weight category
  4. Vijendar Singh(75 Kilogram) Middle weight category
  5. Dinesh Kumar(81 Kilogram) light heavy weight category
  6. Paramjit Samota (91 Kilogram) Super heavy weight category
So it is really proud and historic achievement not only for Indian boxing but also for Indian sports. If sports person gets funds and training then certainly with talents and hard work can do wonder in International Circuit. The way Indian Boxers are playing it won’t be surprise that soon in very near future Boxing will become as popular as cricket in India.

Politicians

In a democratic set up of a country it’s usually said –
“Democracy is to the people, for the people and by the people”
mean citizen/people are supreme in democratic set up, but above coded saying is modify by our today’s politicians by their working style, from last more then two decades it is visible as they consider and highly regards common people of this country and know without their support, votes and desires politicians can’t move ahead even single step ironically all this only at the time of elections, once the process completed then whole scenario change and for next coming five years (as elections held almost at every levels of our democratic set up after every five years)common people whose votes give politicians to govern the state or country ,leaders do nothing in first four years of terms and spend time to please the workers and their party leaders as if they are in the era of dynasty and listen the problems /voices of common people with deaf ears and treat opposition parties as if they are snatcher of their rule and consider themselves wholly solely of state or country, often skip to do any work seriously and honestly for the development of their respective constituencies. Instead of their work to speak they misuse money of tax payers by spending huge money on to advertisements in the newspapers and television channels by inflated claims which on ground not visible but yes in the last year of their terms they announce populist schemes and pass on incentives to the voices whom they ignored during past four years, so that their kindness in the last year give them fruit of next five years term in office, as people aware that next five years they will govern the way they did in their present term and will make false claim of development, good governance which never exits on ground .People can’t able to meet their representatives as after elections they are not accessible but available to only their party’s workers and their policies and action speaks that they are not ruling state or country but they are nominee of handful of workers and their party in which for others there is no space thus common people have no guts to speak against them as it can be harmful for them or their family members, example is that people are grinding under inflation, corruption and adulteration but their voices are not reachable to the leaders.
Some states of country which are govern by different party’s but with their working style it appears as if they have common agenda and are same set of politicians ruling state with anti public policies as their policies never ever justify to be public friendly and it shows how our leaders rule in their office term at the time when they are in power, they are supreme and no body can challenge them –
  •  Utter Pradesh – Right now U.P. is govern by Bahujan Samaj Party whose president Mayawati is Chief Minister, recently during religious ceremony lot of people died because of stampede and when issue rises to compensate the victims who lost their lives She said state has no money to compensate them, Braily is burring because of communal riots but ignoring everything ,she day before yesterday celebrates twenty five years of her party and spent 2,00 crores of rupees and only on garlands made of 1,000 rupees notes as per speculations was worth of 15 to 20 crores of rupees, it mean that the state of whom she is C.M. is poor but her party workers are rich and who can donate rupees 2,00 crore for party function. Surprise to know that coffers are empty of state for the development but she has money for party functions and all the government machinery at her disposal free of cost.
  • Punjab state is in worst condition as far electricity generation is concern and it unable to meet the demand even in winter season from last two years and this year was the second consecutive year when people spent cold season with four to six hours cuts and news is not good for coming summer season and people are scared how much time they have to spend in a days without electricity? Its not that state electricity board is unable to meet the demand of power but it is the policies of state government which is responsible for power shortage and it include to give free power and subsidies to some sections of society which dearly costing state board and if state is under sever shortage of power then why they are allowing sports events to take place in the night in which lot of power consume, it is the question ask by common people which has to be answer by state government.
  • Jharkhand – Former Chief Minister of Jharkhand State Madu Koda is facing charges of corruption and as per reports he had siphoned money worth 2,000 crores during his term in the office, which was purely for the development of the state.
It mean if we read and believe on to political parties of the country then they are rich and huge money lying into their treasure and when they rule any state then state instead of showing prosperity always going backward why is it so? No prize for guessing. It’s ridiculous and hard to believe because if sanction full money reaches to the development of areas to which it belongs then situation of state/country will be totally opposite which appears right now.

Exploitation

From past one and half decades foreign countries becomes magnet to the youth of India especially of northern India, Punjab is top in the list whose youth dreams to go foreign country at any cost legally or illegally to fulfill their ambitions of upliftment economically, thus travel agents get chance to exploit them not only financially but physically also they face lot of difficulties once they comes into contact of travel agents and until they not reach their destinations as then their struggle and hard work begins, but despite hard work they not be able to earn handsome money compare to their work because their employers know these guys status are illegal ,so they can’t give them work through papers. After landing in any country illegally when youth faces hard facts and ground reality then they feel cheated because to reach any country youth pay lakhs of rupees which they hand over to travel agents after selling lands and to earn amount they spent takes lot of time, left them with no options but just put themselves in the hands of destiny and ready to churn in the teeth of exploitation. Story of these guys often highlighted in the newspapers and media also try their level best to aware the youth about the hard facts of foreign countries if one reaches their illegally then it is not safe, it is full of risks and sometimes it takes life also, whose example no body India will ever forget of Malta incidence in which scores of Punjabi lost their lives as the boat drowned. Question rises here despite knowing the risks why youth opted to go foreign country illegally? Its simple and straight forward answer is that youth is not satisfied with the opportunities available here to them and they consider they are not equivalents to the foreign countries.
As per news from north India every year thousands of youth try their luck illegally to settle in any other country, Travel Agents often misguided youth ( youth should understand that if life is easy and full of rosy then why travel agents not settle their or send their relatives or friends ).Travel agents prepare false documents so that aspiring should fit in that category and collect from them huge money along with it pass on advise to them that until they not reach their destination don’t show your passport to any body and once you landed just rip off your passport and other documents so that your any evidence or mode of travel not left behind as proof .Stories which are facts of illegal destinations are countless but recently below coded destinations which were misused rather exploited by travel agents are :-
  • Italy - Just seven to eight years back Italy Government relax visa norms for some categories of professionals but considering this opportunity travel agents collect somewhere four to eight lakhs of rupees from countless youth and send them Italy but seeing the glut of illegal migrants Italy Government now extending visas of only that persons who have work their, rest found its tough to settle their.
  • Australia - Every year from India thousands of youth went to Australia on study basis, one fourth of them not genuine students but travel agents after collecting huge money from them send them Australia and left them on to the mercy of their luck which not always favours them.
  • England –After Australia become bad for Indian students because of racial attacks travel agents picked England as their destination to send fake students and earn money, but seeing jumps by the aspiring students from north India United Kingdom Government found something fishy and they immediately took action and cancel the licenses of suspicious colleges and temporarily bans accepting application from north Indians students whose prove is below coded stats –
  1. Till December 2007 total 1200 students’ visa aspirants.
  2. December 2008 numbers of students were 1800.
  3. Till December 2009 total students applicant were 13,500.
  4. As per figures available in the month of January 2010 it touches’ the figure of 1,000 in a single day.
  • Georgia – Latest addition of travel agents destination to send students to Georgia and they are sending youth in the disguise of students from there they will move on their desire country but genuine and illegal both type of students are finding hard to live their despite living in a room as dormitory but because of high value of Georgian currency and less opportunities to work they are finding it very difficult and they become victim of such condition just because of greenery shown to them which in reality not exists in Georgia.
Government Agencies should take stern actions against these agents who are in this practice as they are playing with the lives and money of innocent youth, at the same time if youth get in India good opportunities, chance to work and earn here, then why should anybody will ever think to leave house, family and go abroad illegally where nothing is sure from work to life.

Emerging Sportsmen

Before 1983 in India Hockey was the undisputed sport that was like, watch and had passion among Indian public as game, incidentally Hockey is India’s national game also, but after 1983 it start loosing its shine from Indian mind and heart because of pathetic performances’ in world’s top tournaments by Indian hockey team and once top and best Hockey team of the world ,it was in reverse order and freely sliding downwards, because in changing scenario of world’s hockey ,Indian hockey was unable to come out from its conventional mold on right time but on other hand with its strength, technique and innovative new effective playing methods European team take control and crown from Asia. It was first time that Indian Hockey even fails to qualify for the Beijing Olympiad held in the year 2008 which points itself where Indian hockey stands in the world right now. After victory in the ODI format of Cricket World Cup, suddenly cricket left behind all the sports in India as far fan following is concern and become unofficially National game of India and India become cricket fanatic country of the world where cricketers gets huge money, name & fame and highest respect whose example is Sachin Tendulakar, within almost one quarter of centaury ,cricket achieves new heights as sports in India, and that is the reason other sports’ players and administrators feel and complaints of ignorance by public in India .
In the Beijing Olympics held in the year 2008 it was sad that Indian proud and national game was unable to qualify, but at the same time Indian comes into limelight in individual sports like in shooting Mr. Abinav Bhindra won gold medal not only for himself but it was also very first time that any Indian won gold medal in the Olympics, along with him Mr. Vijender Singh won silver medal in 75 kg category and after Olympics he is improving his world ranking and in the month of September,2009 he become first Indian to be ranked number one, in the Beijing Olympics our one wrestler also won bronze medal, No doubt these players have to go miles to make there respective sports equivalents to cricket, but their performances’ in the world arena giving confidence and faith to every India that the day is not far away.
Tehran, capital of Iran is presently hosting Asian Youth Boxing Championship and Indian Boxers are performing impressively as five boxers in their categories reaches final, it mean that five silver medals are sure but if they keep on performing the way they performed in their previous rounds then they can win gold medal also and four boxers have won bronze medal, detail of all the boxers are –
  1.  Devendro Singh Lessram(48 kilogram)
  2. V. Naga Arjun(57 Kilogram )
  3. Vikas Krishan(60 kilogram)
  4. Sumit Saagwaan(75 kilogram)
  5. Naveen(81 Kilogram)
and winner of bronze medal are-
  1. Shri Niwas Subroto(51 kilogram)
  2. Harpal Singh(64 kilogram)
  3. Manoj Kumar(91 Kilogram0
  4. Rajat(plus 91 kilogram)
It is a good news for sports lover of country that out new generation is exploring other sports, to earn name and improving their individual ranking at international rankings by doing impressive and consistence performances’ which will attract coming generation to choose these sports as career in which their predecessor sportspersons had very good records under their belt.

Options Before Chairperson

Yesterday was the day when Government tabled Women Reservation Bill in the upper house of parliament and because Government has sufficient numbers to pass the bill in both the houses’, as Women reservation bill is not only supported by parties of ruling alliance United Progressive Alliance (U.P.A.) but also by opposition parties barring three parties Rashtriya Janta Dal (R.J.D.).Bahujan Samaj Party (B.S.P.) and Samajwadi Party (S.P.), it was believed that Women reservation bill will be pass by both the houses’ on same day that is on 8th March, but when bill tabled in the upper house, the scene was unparliamentary because of leaders of opponents of this bill disrupts the proceedings of the house and even tear off the copies of the bill after they reached near to the chair of chairperson of the upper house, and because of disruptions by opponents ,house was adjourned four times during the day then house suspended for the day without any work in the upper house. This type of uproar, walkout and disruptions are quite normal in the parliament and citizen of this country always confuse that despite having chairpersons who are in charge of the houses’, why unable to stop such unpleasant moments? Don’t they have any power to control them?
Answer of these questions comes yesterday, when sadden chairperson of Loksabha Mrs. Mira Kumar, on to the activities and uproar by the opponents of the Women reservation bill, said that chairpersons of the houses’ are powered by alternatives to control the house but usually they avoid to use them as this is not good for democratic set up, perhaps that is the reason that opponents often take leverage of this and uproar, walkout and disrupts house proceedings as per their will, but other side of their action is that huge money goes into the functioning of both the houses’ of tax payers of this country and if houses’ have to be disrupts and normal work not takes place then it is the wastage of tax payers money, so it is the liabilities of the chairpersons of both the houses’ to make good balance between the normal proceedings of the house and tax payers money should not be wasted by disruption and without work. Chairperson should ready to use all alternatives which are at his/her disposable so that proceedings of the house won’t lapse plus it will be lesson for uncontrollable, unruly members of the house if they cross their limits then chairperson of the house has power which may be harsh and not good for him/her or for his/her party, but certainly good for the houses’ and tax payers money who bear the cost of the functioning of the houses’, but ignoring from years and chairpersons have generate a wrong practice by adjourning the house .Now from past few years as both the houses’ have their Television channels and house proceedings broadcast live which are watch by countless persons but such irresponsible behaviour of members sends wrong signal to the followers of Parliament proceedings.
As a common citizen of this country and I am sure everybody will be agree with me that chairperson of both the houses should use all the alternatives which he/she have as power to control unruly members of the house, instead of adjourning the houses, so that effectively, peacefully and democratic manners our both houses’ should function, which are highest regarded institution of Democracy.

Women Reservation Bill

On 8th of March of every year world celebrates Women Day, as proceedings of both the houses of Indian parliament are running due to budget session, government consider this day as golden opportunity to respect and honour women of India by tabling women reservation bill today, and as per custom first bill has to be table in the upper house (Rajya Sabha) then members of the house vote after debate on to the bill ,if it pass I the upper house, then bill send to the lower house (Loksabha),as Women reservation bill is supported by not only ruling alliance’s lot of parties barring RJD and Samajwadi Party but also by several opposition parties except BSP, so it was believe that women reservation bill pass on the woman day itself without any hiccups.
Bill : It is a well drafted legislative proposal that later becomes an Act on being approved
by both the houses of parliament( Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha).
After implementation of women reservation bill, it will be mandatory for reservation of 1/3 seats for women in the Loksabha and State assemblies. Government have sufficient numbers in the Loksabha, but bill can give problems to the government in the Rajya Sabha whose present status is mentioned below and government need two third members in favour of bill –
  • Total number – 245
  • Vacant - 12
  • Present Status - 233
  • To pass Bill - 155
  • Indian National Congress - 71
  • B.J.P. – 45
  • Communist Party of India (Marxist) – 15
  • All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam – 07
  • Nationalist Congress Party – 05
  • Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam 04
  • Biju Janata Dal – 04
  • Sharomani Akali Dal - 03
  • Telugu Desam - 02
  • Trinamool Congress – 02
  • Forward Block – 01
  • Total make the numbers 182 in favour of bill.
Today when bill presented in the Rajya Sabha, leaders of RJD, Samajwadi Party and BSP who are opponents of the bill knew that they have not numbers in their favour to defeat the bill in the house ,so they opted the unparliamentary way to delay the bill by disrupting the proceedings, started making uproar in the house and even tear off the copies of bill which led to the chairperson of the house to adjourned the house four times, but it appears that bill ,because of aggressive and unparliamentary activities by the leaders of parties who are opposing it ,succeed in their motive for the time being to delay the bill for one more day ,but from government side now its their responsibility that they should not allow such scene happen again tomorrow in the house ,as opponents of the bill, will present in the house to disrupt session again, along with it as per reports on the issue of women reservation bill, RJD and Samajwadi Party withdrawal support to U.P.A.. Opposing bill without numbers, parties know they cannot succeed to defeat the bill in the house but yes can hijack, delay and disrupts Bill as they did today.

Polio: Mission not Accomplish !

Polio short for poliomyelitis is a disease that can damage the nervous system and cause paralysis.
  •  Polio [PO-lee-oh] is a viral disease that can damage the nervous system and cause paralysis.
  • The polio virus enters the body through the mouth, usually from hands contaminated with the stool of an infected person.
  • Polio is preventable by immunization.
India is one of the country in the list of only four countries of the world where polio disease still exits and other countries are Pakistan, Afghanistan and Nigeria. To eradicate polio from India, polio campaign was started by government almost one and half decade ago, but till date cases’ of polio victims emerge every year from different part of country which stretching polio campaign further, it point towards failure of polio eradication movement in India .Contributors to the Polio campaign are Central Government, World Health Organisation (W.H.O.), United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) and Rotary International but despite after such a long period of campaign against Polio, Why India still not able to obsolete the disease? How to eradicate polio from India? If need directions and motivation then we can take leaf out of china’s strategy to eradicate polio which they did in just one day by announcing national holiday and then every kid across the country vaccinated from polio, we can say below coded reasons for our failure against polio campaign -
  • Government not considering Polio disease seriously to eradicate it from country.
  • India public not aware of this disease.
  • Migrant labour from backward area of India and their movements from one area to another could be reason.
  • Illiteracy can be the reason as despite Government initiatives to aware countrymen through publicity in both forms of media print and electronics still people not able to get advantage of this to end polio from country.
Polio Reason - The polio virus lives in the throat and intestinal tract of infected persons. The virus enters the body through the mouth, usually from hands contaminated with the stool of an infected person. Objects, such as eating utensils, can also spread the virus.
Signs and symptoms of Polio - The polio virus attacks the nerve cells that control muscle movements. Many people infected with the virus have few or no symptoms. Others have short-term symptoms, such as headache, tiredness, fever, stiff neck and back, and muscle pain. More serious problems happen when the virus invades nerves in the brain and causes paralysis of the muscles used in swallowing and breathing. Invasion of the nerves in the spinal cord can cause paralysis of the arms, legs, or trunk.
Government across country does Polio Vaccinations which spread over three days and first day public comes to booths with kids at the age of 0 to 5 years and next two days kids get vaccinations if they miss ,through door to door initiatives. This year in the month of January and February two phases’ of three days campaign were held, and March 7,8,9 are announce for polio vaccinations but this time instead of waiting on booths officials will visit houses’ all three days of Polio campaign. Hopefully with this gesture of government, it will produce desire results against Polio campaign and would be helpful to obsolete Polio from India.

Harmful Decision

It is the responsibility of the Government to protect, develop and efficiently take care of its assets, but sometimes lobbies close to ruling party take advantages and misuse their relations by successfully amending the policies of government which give them huge financial profits but at the expenses of government exchequer .It is not restricted to any particular area of country but throughout India this tradition is in practice and ruling party bend to the pressure of lobbies, but if government do favour & amend policies or reduce taxes just to please lobbies then it will hamper prosperity ,effect residents of that particular part, financial losses to the coffer of government ,also hit badly balance sheet of public undertakings and by the bias & helpful policies in the long run sector / business will be control by private parties and they will remain in the business until and unless their known leader rule the state, when change in governance take place then they opt to exist simply lack of favourable back up which make innocent people victim as they are the direct sufferer.
Examples of favouring private parties / individuals often highlighted by media and latest addition in this series if we believe the reports and if it is true ,it is from Punjab State and action of policy makers clearly indicate that shift /amendment in the policies / reduction in tax structure will be harmful for the state’s two public transports namely Punjab State Roadways and Pepsu Road Transport Corporation and the change make just to benefit handful of parties who are in the business of transport, but this will spoil and make big question on to the existence of both transports, as per information available tax collected by state government now on ordinary buses at the rate of Rs 2 and 25 paisa per kilometer and Rs.6 and 47 paisa per kilometer from air condition buses and as per government sources to benefit commuters from scorching heat in the summer season which touches last year 45 degree temperature, has given permission to the bus operators to convert their ordinary buses into air condition buses and then from them on such buses tax will be collected at the rate of 0.50 paisa per kilometer which is far less even from ordinary buses and tax benefits to them from currently 6.47 paisa per kilometer will be almost thirteen times . This is certainly good news to the private bus operators ,which are countless in the state and lot of them have relations with the leaders or are in the ruling party or ministers and they have send their buses to the workshops to convert them to air conditions. Certainly question rises here that government can also modify their buses to air condition and as per rough estimates there are more then twenty two hundred buses which are plying of both transports within and outside state, ridiculous answer comes from concerned department that because of financial crunch they won’t take advantage of new policy of the government ,so it mean both transports buses will be run in ordinary category and they have to pay almost five fold more tax then from air condition buses plus addition to this they will lose commuters also because why one will opt ride on these buses in summer season when they will have advantage of air condition buses ,it mean in this summer season state government own buses will have to face competition created by policy makers and certainly summer is going to sweat both transports and department.
To entitle public with best, affordable services is always welcome move but if it provided and created at the behest of government or public undertakings then it is certainly harmful for the government and its revenue as then their own assets will become white elephant which is worthless but keep on generating financial losses, instead of adding their share to state coffer will start swallowing government money and always be in need for financial assistance simply because either to keep on running sick public undertakings then government will have to pump money or suspend services.

Boom in Automobile Sector

February month’s automobile sales figures released and good news is that every company posted impressive jumps in their sales, percentage wise, for the same month of last year, from Two Wheelers, Three Wheelers, Small Car, Sedan and Sports Utility Vehicle every model of all the companies registered attractive sales figures, lot of points become reason for the boom like –
  • Companies utilized time before February month with good sales policies to woo customers by informing through advertisements that prices of cars, bikes are going to increase in coming days because of speculations of increase rate in excise duty.
  •  Rumors of roll back of stimulus packages, which was pass on to industrial sector by government last year because of worldwide downturns, so that it wont effect Indian economy very much, but certainly there was differences’ of opinion on the roll back as some expert were believing it will be roll back fully and some were saying it will partially roll back.
Sales figures of February month of Cars -
  • General Motors India started its India operation in the year 1996 and it is very first time that they have touch the sale of 10,000 units in one month as per company spokesperson, total units they have sold 11,111 which is 126% jumps of sale from February 2009 which was 4,921 units.

  • Maruti Suzuki reported highest sales in the month of February that is 84,765 units in India and 11,885 units abroad, total 96,650 units which is jump of 22.04 % of their sales from February 2009 which was 79,190 units.

  • Toyota Kirloskar Motors recorded a 101% growth with 5,993 units last year they sold 2,976 units.
  • Honda Siel sold 6,275 units in the February this year against 5,579 units last, recorded an increase of 12.5%.
Sales figures of February month of Two wheelers
  • Hero Honda sold 382,096 units against last year figures of 329,055 units, a growth of 16% and with cumulative sales of 41,85,492 units in this fiscal year, Hero Honda has crossed four million sales, well before the completion of the fiscal year.
  • Bajaj Auto’s total sales stood at 268,678 units as compare to last year sale of 153,782, up by 74.71% YoY while exports touched 77,642 units, it was 50,738 units last year.
  • TVS’ total sales is up 31% to 140,000 units and it was 107,000 units last year same period on YoY basis.
  • Yamaha’s total sales 25,766 units as compare to YoY last year 17,407 units.
One can say jumps in the sale of Automobile in the month of February on MoM and YoY basis is because of presentation of budget in the house and expectation of price increase by companies because of change in tax duties whose impact often seen immediately that is from first week of March month.

Budget & Common People

On 26th February, 2010 in the house India’s Union Finance Minister Mr. Pranab Mukherjhee present budget for the year 2010-11, as this year’s budget finance Minister was presenting amidst uproar in the country from last more then seven months due to price rise of all the essential commodities price which spoil badly budget of average common people of this country, so it was believe that while making budget finance minister will consider inflation and pass on relief to the public of this country, when announced budget contain nothing to relief already badly hit common people by inflation but yes Finance minister added insult to injury by hiking price of petroleum products with immediate effect from midnight onwards, so now it is sure that until this year fresh bumper crop of essential food items will not hit the Indian markets, price will remain high, as per some experts even in near future because petrol and diesel prices’ are hiked so price rise issue will keep on boiling this country further. On the issue of price rise opposition parties may be trying to take mileage by agitation or walkout from parliament but no doubt common people of this country still has to grind further and his budget will have to bleed further. May be finance minister budget will boost industry, foreign investment and prove helpful to increase economy growth and as per his words we will eradicate poverty from country ,he is true if common people will not survive succumb to increasing inflation then where on India we will find poverty?
One can divide India into two parts one is India which is shining, pampered and woo by our rulers with incentives second is Bharat which is spread across country, producing and feeding whole nation plus also have share to export other countries, but because of increasing cost and shrinking profits farmers are now start finding agriculture less attractive and profitable, reason of this cultivation area is reducing in the country. Considering the importance of the agriculture it is the responsibility of the government to give incentives to farmers, reduce or exempt taxes on farm tools and sops for modern and innovative technology. It is the tragedy that on to farmers hard work and produce crops, they get less then one third of price which sold in the market but hoarders and traders earn huge profits thus they exploit others hard work, government should make efficient arrangement for off take of farmers crop plus give money on the spot to them.
Strength of farmers and agriculture can be feel in this country easily by everybody as last year rainy season was pass with less rain, resulted lot of parts of country declared under draught, and last more then seven months every category of consumer suffer a lot because of price rise and till date government unable to control price rise as there is huge gap between demand and supply and prices of all the essential food items of kitchen jumps many folds, despite assurances by government that they are doing efforts to check the prices’ and soon they will come down but in reality government is hoping and waiting for a good monsoon and bumper crop which will reduce price of items at its own but God forbid if this year also faces’ shortfall of rain then it will be really a cruel, un imaginary, and intolerable truth country is going to face on price rise front in this year.
In the 14th Loksabha Left Parties were major obstacles of government’s anti common people policies of same U.P.A. government and when ever any action declared by government which was anti common people then they successfully pressurize government to roll back them. It is believe that TMC party headed by Mamta Benerjee ally of U.P.A in current Loksabha (15th )is also pro common people and when price hike announced by Finance minister of petroleum products she oppose it openly and declared price of petroleum products should be roll back.
I remember a fact which I had read in the book that when Late Lal Bhadur Shastri was Prime Minister of this country then once country faces shortage in the production of grain and he requested common people to skip one time meal and surprisingly even commercial /business community like Restaurants and Hotels also close down by owners for one time ,that was the charisma and impact of our past leaders on to Indians but now a days people not accept the words of their leaders because people found lot of differences in their words and actions. Growth must be sustained by our rulers but it should not be at the expenses of our assets that is agriculture and it should must get share and appreciation by our rulers.

Holi Festival

Today is festival of colors Holi and it is celebrated across India with great enthusiasm and fervor but as other festivals of India how and when they begins Holi is also not exception and lot of stories found in the history book related to Holi, legends which are widely accepted across country by large number of people are –
  •  Legend of Hiranyakashyap and Prahlad -This is the most popular legend of Holi. It says once a demon King Hiranyakashyap demanded everybody in his kingdom to worship him. But, to his great disappointment his pious son Prahlad became a devotee of Lord Vishnu. The cruel Hiranyakashyap wanted his son to be killed. He asked his sister Holika to enter a blazing fire with Prahlad in her lap. For Holika, she had a boon that made her immune to fire. Legend says, Prahlad was saved by the grace of Lord while evil-minded Holika was burnt to ashes, as she was not aware that her boon worked only when she entered the fire alone. Since that time, people light a bonfire, called Holika on the eve of Holi Festival to celebrate the victory of good over evil and also the triumph of devotion to god.
  • Story of Radha and Krishna-Another legend, which tells us the use of colors in Holi is that of Lord Krishna and Radha. Lord Krishna use to play with colors with Radha and Gopis. This lovable prank of throwing colored powder and watercolors called 'pichkaris' soon gained favor with the people and it evolved into the tradition of Holi. This is the reason that people play with colors in Holi and at the same time they worship Lord Krishna and Radha. The Holi of Mathura and Vrindavan region are very famous because it is the place where Krishna was born and spend his childhood days.
  • It is believed that there was once an Ogress called Dhundhi in the kingdom of Prithu. The female monster used to specially trouble little children who became fed- up of her. Dhundhi had a boon from Lord Shiva that she would not be killed by gods, men nor suffer from arms nor from heat, cold or rain. These boons which made her almost invincible but she also had a weak point. She was also cursed by Lord Shiva that she would be in danger from boys going about crazy. Deeply troubled by the Ogress, the King of Raghu consulted his priest. Giving the solution, the priest said that on Phalguna 15, the season of cold vanishes and summer starts. Boys with bits of wood in their hands may go out of their house, collect a heap of wood and grass, set it on fire with mantras, clap their hands, go around the fire thrice, laugh, sing and by their noise, laughter and homa, the ogress would die. The legend has it that on the day of Holi, village boys displayed their united might and chased Dhundhi away by a blitzkrieg of shouts, abuses and pranks. It is for this reason that young boys are allowed to use rude words on the day of Holi without anybody taking offence. Children also take great pleasure in burning Holika.
  • Legend of Kamadeva- According to Hindu mythology, the world is looked after the Trinity of Gods - Lord Brahma, the creator; Lord Vishnu, the nurturer; and Lord Shiva, the destroyer. According to a legend, Goddess Sati, the daughter of Daksha Prajapati, one of the first sons of Lord Brahma, married Lord Shiva against the wishes of her father. Thus, Daksha did not invite her and her husband to a grand yagya arranged by him. When Sati came to know about the event in her father's house, she thought it to be a slip of mind and proceeded to participate in the event despite the warnings of her husband. But once she reached there, she realized her fault and was infuriated by the insult of her husband. As a penance for her disobedience, she entered the fire. When Lord Shiva came to know of her sudden demise, he was furious. Even after he controlled his anger, he started a severe meditation and renounced all work. The world's balance soon crumbled in his absence and Sati took rebirth as Goddess Parvati to try and win Lord Shiva's heart and wake him up from his trance. She tried all ways to get the attention of Shiva. When she had exhausted all her feminine ways, she invoked the help of Kamadeva, the Indian cupid-god, who agreed to help her in the cause of the world despite the risks involved. He shot his love-arrow on Shiva's heart. Disturbed in his trance, Lord Shiva opened his third eye that fired anger and instantly incinerated Kamadeva. It is said that it was on the day of Holi that Kamadeva had sacrificed himself for the good of all beings. Later, when Lord Shiva realized his mistake, he granted Kamadeva immortality in invisible form. To this day, people offer sandalwood paste to Kamadeva to relieve from his stinging burns and mango blossoms that he loved on Holi.
  • Legend of Pootana -At some places, people celebrate Holi to mark the death of evil-minded ogress by the name of Pootana. It is said that Pootana tried to kill Lord Krishna as an infant by feeding it poisonous milk while executing the plan of Kansa, Krishna's devil uncle. However, Krishna sucked her blood and brought her end. Some who view the origin of festivals from seasonal cycles believe that Pootana represents winter and her death the cessation and end of winter.
In today’s environment celebration of Holi change a lot and some ugly and untoward scene can be seen on Holi festival in the streets due to mischievous elements who use chemical colors, grease, paints, balloon, egg as tool to color others but as Holi is festival of colors, enjoyment and happiness so we should celebrate Holi within limits without teasing and making fun of others.
