Two Inspiring Indian

Just past day that is on 29th September,2009 two Indian become motivation for the rest of countrymen and their action/achievement shows that if anybody is ambitious and courageous then he or she can do the wonder in awkward or adverse condition. Ruksana, 21years old girl from Rajauri not only killed one terrorist by name Ujfa Shah who was active in her area from past four years but also snatch their A.K.47 rifle and start firing on them which resultant terrorists to run away while leaving behind their weapons. Second is it is the first time ever in the history of AIBA’s that any Indian reach top by becoming number one,Mr. Vijender Singh declared number one in the middle weight (75 Kilograms) category by AIBA’s in its latest just yesterday released ranking. Detail of inspired Indian stories goes like this-
  •     Ruksana,21 years old girl is resident of Rajauri which is part of Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir and unfortunately from last twenty years state is facing terrorism which is supported by Pakistan. Lashkar-e-Taiaba a terrorist organisation having headquarter in Pakistan, terrorist by name Ujfa Shah who was Pakistani Nationalist, was involve in terrorist activities in the Rajauri and Poonch area. Yesterday night Ujfa Shah and three terrorists along with A.K.47 and A.K.56 rifles comes Mohallah Bhatee of Shadra Shariff and there they reach in front of the house of Noor Hussein which was the house of courageous girl Ruksana and knocked the door of her house. While seeing terrorists her father hide her and not open the door, then after waiting for some time when terrorists saw that from inside door is not open they break the door and forcibly entered the house. Then terrorists started beating all the family members brutally and one terrorist fire which hit Waklat Hussein who was uncle of Ruksana and he injured with the firing. It gave the feeling to all the family members that terrorists will kill them. Then family members with lathi’s and axe start resisting terrorists. Courageous girl Ruksana came out from her hiding place and kill Ujfa Shah with axe and snatch from other terrorist A.K.47 rifle and started firing on terrorists, while seeing the adverse situation all the alive terrorists run away without able to take with them their arms. All this not only save lives of Ruksana family members but also appreciated by state Government courageous action of girl and immediately same day Governor of State declared award to Ruksana.
  •       Second motivator and ambitious Indian is Mr. Vijender Singh who plays boxing in the middle weight (75Kilograms) category from India, become first ever Indian to rank number one in any categories of AIBA’s. He comes to limelight when he represent India in the Beijing Olympics and there he won Bronze Medal; then recently held world Boxing Championship in Milan he won Bronze Medal in his category of middle weight, and yesterday was the day when AIBA had to release it’s latest ranking in all the categories. Proudly for Mr. Vijender Singh and every Indian that in the 75 Kilograms category of AIBA ranking with 2,700 points Mr. Vijender Singh is number one and his achievement make the history as he is first ever Indian to be honour with number one ranking.
So above coded shows that if anybody ever dream of anything in life then with courage, hard work and planning in any condition it is possible to do the wonder or unexpected which for others can be a miracle .

Sweet (less) Sugar !

Sugar is important ingredients of Indian cuisine and during festival season sugar requirement at sweet shops across India make sugar demand and use at its peak time of the year thus to meet the market demand Government of India often releases’ extra supply of sugar and it is the time for sugar traders to reap the profit of year during festival season. This year because of less rainfall during rainy season to till date it effect badly on the yield of all the crops, resultants Union Agriculture Minister Mr.Sharad Pawar declared shortfall of all the commodities in the country and sugar is also part of this list and unfortunately coming days are of festival season in India which gives ample opportunity to the sugar traders and black marketers of country to hoard sugar now and during festivals season release it when price will surge. All this make sugar price to rise from 23 to 25 kg in retail to right now 34 to 35 and news is that it can touch the figure of 40 or more in coming days., all this make every categories of consumers to make lot of noise, it pressurize on to state governments to act against hoarders and black marketers. As per unconfirmed reports only in Punjab state almost 3 billion rupees of sugar is stored in the godawn of traders and hoarders which enter in Punjab from Uttar Pradesh illegally without paying entry tax which is 4 percent mean financial loss of lakhs of rupees to state government. On 14th August, 2009 raid by Food and Supply Department of Madhya Pradesh in Indoor area recovered 8,200 Quintal of Sugar which was worth rupees three Crores of rupees.
Past fortnight gone through with the news which was keep on pouring relating to raids on the godawn of hoarders across Punjab by Sales Tax, C.I.A. Staff and Food Supply department and whose result is that below coded Sugar seized till date and it is believe that if food supply department not found detail of seized sugar then it will sold in the market –

• On 7th September, 2009 Police and Food Supply department seized 20,000 Quintals of sugar whose price was at Rupees 7 Crores from Rajpura which comes under Patiala District of Punjab.

• On 18th September, 2009 raid by food supply department resultant collection of 97,500 quintals of sugar whose price was Rupees 30 Crores and the raid was held in the godawn of hoarder from Ludhiana.

• On 19th September, 2009 raid on the godawn of trader found 8,516 Quintals sugar whose price was Rupees 3 Crores from Ludhiana.

• Raid in the godawn in Ludhiana seize 9,780 quintals of sugar whose price was rupees more then 3 Crores on 20th September, 2009.

• On 21st September, 2009 raid by food supply department in the godawn at Jalandhar found 1,000 Quintals of sugar worth rupees 32 lakhs and same day from Amritsar 2,000 Quintals of sugar worth which was worth Rupees 64 lakhs recovered.

• 8,500 quintals sugar priced at 3 Crores seized in Amritsar godawn on 22 September, 2009.

• On 23rd Sep, 2009 Team of Food Supply Department, Sales Tax and C.I.A. Staff found 2,500 Quintals Sugar in Amritsar.

• On 25th September, 2009 from a godawn 4,000 quintals of sugar seized by authority in Amritsar, some days back 10,000 quintals of sugar also seized from this location by officials.

In Moga district from the premises of a factory in place of allotted quantity of 2000 quintals found 12,000 quintals of sugar ,So it is proving correct above mentioned unconfirmed reports of dump of 3 billion rupees of sugar in the different part of Punjab state by hoarders and black marketers and if we believe on to claims made by Food supply department till date they have seized sugar worth rupees 75 to 85 Crores ,at the same time departments of food and Supply, Sales Tax and Police department also deserve to be praised as every passing day they are seizing stores of hoarders and hopefully in the coming days price will come down drastically of sugar as now other states also going to take action against black marketers and hoarders.

Dussehra

Today is Dussehra Festival and it is celebrate across India with pomp and gaiety. The festival commemorates the victory of Lord Rama over Ravana which also symbolises victory of Good over bad. Vijayadashami, also known as Dussehra, "Dashain" in Nepali, is a festival celebrated across Nepal and India. It is celebrated with great fanfare in Kullu in Himachal Pradesh, Dussehra witnesses fervid celebrations for one whole week. The history of Kullu Dussehra dates back to the 17th century when the local King Jaganand brought an idol of Lord Raghunath from Ayodhya and installed it on his throne as a mark of penance. After this Lord Raghunath came to be known as the ruling deity of the Valley, Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, Mysore in Karnataka and slightly differently as Durga pooja in West Bengal. It is the climax of nine day long festivities during the Navratri It is celebrated on the tenth day of the bright half of the Hindu month of Ashwayuja or Ashwina, and is the grand culmination of the 10-day annual festival of Dussehra or Navratri. The festival is celebrated with zest and festivities as it also marks the beginning of the winter season after the long, unbearable, hot summer. In north India, gigantic effigies of the ten-headed Ravana and his brothers are set aflame amidst bursting of crackers. It is also considered to be an auspicious day to begin new things in life. Apart from the legend from the epic Ramayana, and the story of the triumph of Goddess Durga over Mahishasura, a vibrant history is associated with Dussehra festival-
  • The celebration of Dussehra is rooted in the Hindu epic of Ramayana, according to which, Lord Rama, the eight incarnation of Lord Vishnu, killed the ten-headed demon Ravana. It is widely held that the festival actually commemorates the killing of the great demon king of Lanka, Ravan, by Lord Rama. The epic mentions how Lord Rama, the god-incarnate, went to serve a period of exile for 14 years under the order of his father. Along with his devoted wife Sita and his faithful brother Lakshman, Rama faced many hardships during this period prominent among which was the abduction of Sita by the ten-headed Ravana. On a similar day as Dussehra in Satyug, Ram (the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu), is said to have killed Ravan, who had abducted his wife Sita. With brother Lakshman, follower Hanuman, and an army of monkeys on his side Rama fought a great battle for ten days to rescue his wife. Since then, the observance of Dussehra is more in admiration of Lord Rama than Goddess Durga. The word "Dussehra" can also be interpreted as "Dasa-Hara", which stands for the cutting of the ten heads of Ravana by Lord Rama. Dussehra is celebrated by many people of Northern India to commemorate this victory of Lord Rama, which later came to be known as Vijayadashami or Dussehra.
  • Another legend is connected to Goddess Durga. According to the story, all the Gods and the living beings on earth were upset by the tyranny of the demon Mahishasura, because he had acquired invincible power to conquer the world. He was undefeatable, even by the mighty deities - Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva. Therefore, all the Gods decided to create a power, which would destroy Mahishasura, freed the living beings from his despotism and restore the heaven to them. This gave rise to the creation of Goddess Durga, an avatar of Maa Shakti. With the weapons given to her by the Gods, Goddess Durga went to fight against Mahishasura. She defeated the demon, successfully, and restored the heaven to the Gods, as promised. Her victory is celebrated as Vijayadashami or Dussehra, by many people following Hinduism.
  • Another legend associated with this auspicious occasion is the story of Kausta, the youngest son of Devdatt. After successfully accomplishing his study under the guidance of Rishi Varatantu, he requested his mentor to accept any gift as Gurudakshina. Though initially Rishi Varatantu refused the offer but afterward he asked for one hundred million gold coins for each of the subject taught, as Kausta learnt several subjects, it amounted to 140 hundred million gold coins. To keep his promise Kausta asked King Raghu for the money, who was renowned for his generosity. With the help of Kuber, the God of wealth, he brought a shower of gold coins near the shanu and apati trees. After giving what his guru asked for, the rest of the coins were distributed among the poor and needy people on the day Dussehra. Since then, people of Ayodhya pluck the leaves of apati tree and present each other as 'sona' or gold on Dussehra.
  • Dussehra festival is the day to worship the weapons as well. Another legend connected to the origin of Dussehra finds place in the greatest Hindu epic - Mahabharata. According to a story, Pandavas were banished by Kauravs for 12 years and 1 year of disguise, because the former were defeated in gambling (chausar) by the latter. Subsequently, Pandavas decided to spend their first 12 years of exile in the woods and the last year in disguise. Since they were asked to remain incognito during that period, Pandavas did not want to be exposed to others. Therefore, they lay aside their divine and powerful weapons during the exile. They concealed their weapons under the shami tree, situated close to the place of their residence. At the end of every year of the exile, Pandavas came to the shami tree to check whether their weapons were there.Whenever Pandavas approached the tree, they worshipped it and Goddess Durga, the presiding deity. In the mean time, Kauravs were making every attempt to trace Pandavas, so that they could extend the exile time, because it was said that if they were found, they would have to spend another 12 years in the woods. However, the Kauravs could find the Pandavas only past the stipulated time. Subsequently, the Kauravs went to the shami tree, fetched their concealed weapons and went straight to the battle field to fight the Kauravs. Pandavas emerged victorious. The event took place in dasami and since good had achieved victory over the evil, it came to be known as Vijayadashami. Since then, people hug each other under the shami tree and exchange its leaves.
Dussehra celebrates the victory of good (Rama) over the evil (Ravana). This is the reason why effigies of Ravana, Meghnatha and Kumbhkarna are burnt on Dussehra, all over northern India. Apart from this, Vijayadashami also symbolizes the victory of Goddess Durga over Mahishasura, the demon who held the earth and the swaglok (heaven) with his tyranny and invincible power. Hence, it can be said that two legends are connected to the celebration of Dussehra are very close to the reality of festival. In Today time ruler like lord Rama is needed by India who effectively with his charisma solve the problems of corruption, adulteration, inflation, terrorism and poverty of Indian.

Pollution

We on daily basis keep on hearing the word Pollution on Television Channels and its reason strike in our mind that it is the vehicles whose smoke and factories whose waste are main cause of Air pollution but it is not true because pollution word has such a vast ambit that across the globe human beings knowingly unknowingly are generating pollution whom our environment and earth cannot absorb, thus creating lot of effects on to the living beings. On daily basis rain forests are being cut, Glaciers are melting at speed whom scientists never ever expected, Ozone layer is getting thin which help living beings to avoid from Sun’s Ultra Violet (UV) rays, water level in lot of countries are going deeper and deeper and water level of sea is increasing on every passing day which means that area’s near to sea would be taken by sea water and their existence will be seen and read in history books. Then question rises what is pollution? It’s simple and straight forward answer is that the discharge of a toxic or contaminating substance that is likely to have an adverse effect on the natural environment or life, and to define further Pollution is the introduction into the air, water or ground of toxic substances that are damaging to human health and ecosystems . It is mainly linked with human activity: discharge of domestic, industrial and agricultural waste; application of pesticides by farmers; leaks of radioactive materials; gas emissions into the atmosphere etc. Pollution essentially means the release into the biosphere of substances that are either directly toxic to man or his environment (lead, mercury, crude oil in oil slicks, pesticides, nitrogen oxide which causes acid rain , etc.) or likely to disturb the functioning of a biotope (agricultural nitrates that encourage eutrophication , carbon dioxide or methane that increase the greenhouse effect, etc.).We can categories Pollution into six categories-
1. Air Pollution
2. Water Pollution
3. Land Pollution
4. Noise Pollution
5. Radioactive Pollution
6. Thermal Pollution
Air pollution is indication of disturbances to the composition of compounds in the atmosphere, as it may be summarized as shown:
excess emission of gases/vapors into atmosphere
saturation of chemical compounds/particulates
rate of dissipation < (smaller than) rate of absorption through various cycles (i.e. carbon and nitrogen cycle)
emergence of new chemical reactions of reactive and non-biodegradable compounds.
Below mentioned are air pollution generators -
• motor vehicle exhaust
• heat and power generation facilities
• industrial processes
• auto manufacturing
• fertilizers plants
• building demolition
• solid waste disposal
• solvent evaporation
• volcanic eruption
• fuel production
• roadway construction
• electrical components manufacturing
• extraction of metals
• forest fires
• agriculture
Air Pollution Effects-
• Reduced lung functioning
• Irritation of eyes, nose, mouth and throat
• Asthma attacks
• Respiratory symptoms such as coughing and wheezing
• Increased respiratory disease such as bronchitis
• Reduced energy levels
• Headaches and dizziness
• Disruption of endocrine, reproductive and immune systems
• Neurobehavioral disorders
• Cardiovascular problems
• Cancer
• Premature death
Water pollution is contamination of water by foreign matter that deteriorates the quality of the water. Water pollution covers pollutions in liquid forms like ocean pollution and river pollution. As the term applies, liquid pollution occurs in the oceans, lakes, streams, rivers, underground water and bays, in short liquid-containing areas.
and for water pollution mainly below mentioned can be named as the reason-
• petroleum products
• synthetic agricultural chemicals
• heavy metals
• hazardous wastes
• excess organic matter
• sediment
• infectious organisms
• air pollution
• thermal pollution
• soil pollution
Water Pollution effects
Waterborne diseases caused by polluted drinking water:
• Typhoid
• Amoebiasis
• Giardiasis
• Ascariasis
• Hookworm
Land Pollution
Revered to as soil pollution, land pollution involves the following mechanism:
• Deposition of solid waste
• Accumulation of non-biodegradable materials
• Toxification of chemicals into poisons
• Alteration of soil chemical composition (imbalance of chemical equilibrium to soil medium)
• loss of 6 million hectares of land per year
• loss of 24 billion tons of topsoil per year
• loss of minimum 15 million acres prime agricultural land to overuse and mismanagement
main elements of land pollution creator are-
• agriculture
• mining and quarrying
• sewage sludge
• dredged spoils
• household
• demolitions and constructions
• industrial
Soil Pollution Effects
• Causes cancers including leukaemia
• Lead in soil is especially hazardous for young children causing developmental damage to the brain
• Mercury can increase the risk of kidney damage; cyclodienes can lead to liver toxicity
• Causes neuromuscular blockage as well as depression of the central nervous system
• Also causes headaches, nausea, fatigue, eye irritation and skin rash.
Noise Pollution
Noise levels describe in decibel other noise measurement systems are:
• community noise equivalent level
• composite noise rating
• equivalent energy level
• noise and number index
• noise exposure forecast
• noise criterion
• noise level
• noise pollution level
• noise rating
• perceived noise level
• traffic noise index
• sound level
• sound level meter
• sound pressure level
• world soundscape project
Noise pollution major contributor are-:
• road traffic noise
• air traffic
• rail traffic
• neighborhood and domestic noise
• incompatible land use
• industrial noises
Radio active pollution
Nuclear energy is a form of energy that’s released by the splitting of atoms. Since scientists have found a way to make use of the energy, it has also been used to generate electricity. Despite the advantage of nuclear as a clean energy, the big concern is the waste resulted from nuclear reaction, which is a form of pollution, called radioactivity. Radioactivity is a form of radiation (a form of energy that travels through space). Some elements in this world are naturally radioactive while some others are made to be.
There are commonly three types of radiation, namely:
• Alpha particles, can be blocked by a piece of paper and human skin.
• Beta particles can penetrate through skin, while can be blocked by some pieces of glass and metal.
• Gamma rays can penetrate easily to human skin and damage cells on its way through, reaching far, and can only be blocked by a very thick, strong, massive piece of concrete.
radioactive pollution generate by -
• nuclear power plants
• nuclear weapon
• transportation
• disposal of nuclear waste
• uranium mining
Thermal pollution
This has become an increasing and the most current pollution, owing to the increasing call of globalization everywhere. Heat produced from industries is a major contribution to the pollution, much to the operation of the heavy industries which produces high amount of heat energy. As we will show a summary to the event of this pollution happening:
• Raw materials for productivity (organic and inorganic products)
• Undergo different chemical reactions with several process
• Excess heat energy is produced as a waste product
• Heat is released through into atmosphere (vapor) and riverine system (liquid).
• Increase of temperature of environmental system
in view of the pollution, global temperature had increased significantly
thermal pollution can be classify into following categories:
• power plants creating electricity from fossil fuel
• water as a cooling agent in industrial facilities
• deforestation of the shoreline
• soil erosion
The reduction of pollution connected with human activity such as industry, agriculture and transport is one of the conditions of sustainable development : the use of renewable energies that emit few greenhouse gases , organic farming which bans the use of pesticides, and waste reclamation are some of the solutions used to achieve it.

Mohali Airport Update !

If a Province or State have Airport at its centre then it will attract Industrialists, Tourists and it will boost economy of that particular territory and proudly Punjab State has RajaSansi International Airport,Amritsar but somehow it fail to attract investors, tourists and Non Resident of India (NRI)across globe to land Amritsar airport, so till date more then eighty to ninety percent of Air travelers prefer to land at New Delhi Airport and from there as per their necessity travel to their home town through Taxi or Bus in India but it takes almost ten to twelve hours depending on the location they have their home town which consumes almost their half day more and if they are on short visit then three to four days will be used by tedious journey of to and fro and he/she will hardly time to enjoy his/her stay in India, and it is from quite long time demand of resident of Punjab to have Airport in the centre of Punjab because it will be good for countless residents of Punjab from Doaba region to reach their respective home in just three to four hours but also air travelers of Himachal Pradesh, Haryana , Jammu and Kashmir it will drastically reduce their time to reach their destinations. With the commencement of international flights from Mohali Airport and domestic flights from Sahnewal airport from December this year Punjab is going to be country’s most air connected sate. It may be added that a major milestone in the aviation history of northern India was achieved by Punjab on Thursday for prestigious International Airport at Mohali with signing of a Joint Venture Agreement for the formation of Joint Venture Company for undertaking the project amongst the Airports Authority of India (AAI) Government of India, Government of Punjab through Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) and Government of Haryana through Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) at Ministry of Civil Aviation Headquarters, New Delhi.
Today happy news come that International flights from Mohali Airport and domestic flights from Sahnewal Airport (Ludhiana) will start at the end of this year and with the operational of Mohali International Airport it is believe that it will boost economy not only of Punjab but the entire northern region. Connectivity to Airport would be from Sector 20 of Panchkula through Zirakpur and from Mohali based on the alignments approved by the GMADA executive committee. As per planning six-lane road from Chandigarh to the airport will be construct and third access to the Airport from Chhat village on the Patiala-Zirakpur highway, Punjab state forward the proposal on the name of Airport after Martyr Bhagat Singh but the name will be finalise with the consent of three partners and they are Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA), Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) and Airport Authority of India (AAI) and as per Sukhbir Singh Badal, Deputy Chief Minister, Punjab said that this milestone will make the state one of the finest and most easily accessible tourist as well as business hub in South Asia. He add that work on up gradation of tarmac, taxiway and civil lounge building has already begun and probably domestic flights from Mohali Airport will start from June 2010, while the facilities at the International Airport in Amritsar will be upgraded also at the same time. Sahnewal Airport get approval for domestic flights and after getting approval for up gradation of Sahnewal Airport night landing facility erected at airstrip.
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed among three parties on beginning of this year that is January 4, 2009 for the development of International Airport, Mohali with 51% of equity share of Government of India and 24.5% each of Punjab and Haryana governments, so coming time after December month will open new chapter for air Travelers of northern region and will give great relief to the Air travelers from lengthy and tedious journey from airport to their homes.

Navratrey

From today that is 19th September, 2009 Navratrey festival is start and will ends on 27th September, 2009 and 'Nav' means 'nine' and 'ratri' means 'night'. Thus, 'Navratri' means 'nine nights' so Navratri or the Festival of Nine Nights from Ashvin Sud 1 to 9 is devoted to the propitiation of Shakti or Divine Mother. She represents prakriti, responsible for creation of the world according to the religious ideology of Goddess worship. Navratri is a very important Hindu festival celebrated in India, which is devoted to Goddess Durga. The festival is celebrated with great reverence and faith across the country. It stretches over a period of nine days, with each of the nine days being dedicated to one of the nine forms of the Goddess. Talking about the history of Navratri festival, it can be explained through the stories mentioned in the Hindu scriptures. There are many legends attached to the conception of Navratri like all Indian festivals. All of them are related to Goddess Shakti (Hindu Mother Goddess) and her various forms. It is one of the most celebrated festivals of Hindu calendar, it holds special significance for Gujratis and Bengalis and one can see it in the zeal and fervor of the people with which they indulge in the festive activities of the season. Dandiya and Garba Rass are the highlights of the festival in Gujarat, while farmer sow seeds and thank the Goddess for her blessings and pray for better yield. In older times, Navratri was associated with the fertility of Mother Earth who feed us as her children. The first three days of Navratri are dedicated to Goddess Durga (Warrior Goddess) dressed in red and mounted on a lion. Her various incarnations - Kumari, Parvati and Kali - are worshipped during these days. They represent the three different classes of womanhood that include the child, the young girl and the mature woman. Next three days are dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi (Goddess of Wealth and Prosperity), dressed in gold and mounted on an owl and finally, last three are dedicated to Goddess Saraswati (Goddess of Knowledge), dressed in milky white and mounted on a pure white swan. Sweetmeats are prepared for the celebrations. Children and adults dress up in new bright-colored dresses for the night performances. Below coded legends or epics associated with the history of Navratri and celebrated across the country with great reverence and faith taking on different names and idols-
• Lord Brahma of the trinity Brahma, Vishnu & Maheshwara, granted Mahishasura the "buffalo demon," a boon that protected him from any man in the world. Empowered by this gift, Mahishasura set out to conquer the world, heaven and the world, and brought about the defeat of the king of deities, Indra. At the pleading of Indra, the king of the Gods, Lords Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva created Devi Durga, by combining their own divine powers (Shakti). Endowed with the trinity's Shakti, Durga proved to be a formidable opponent who fought Mahisa for nine days, beheading him on the tenth. The nine nights known as Navratri, symbolise the nine days of battle between Devi Durga and Mahishasura, while the tenth day, which is vijayadashami-literally means the victorious tenth day of conquest of good over evil.
• Daksha, the king of the Himalayas and the plains, and his wife, Menaka, had a daughter called Uma. Uma was a devotee of Shiva since she was a child. She worshipped the Lord as her husband. Shiva, satisfied by her devotion and faith agreed to marry her. Daksha did not approve of a tiger-skin clad groom with ash & dirt spread over all of his body. Despite all the opposition from her father,Uma got married to Lord Shiva but was prevented by her father from moving to Kailash, the abode of Shiva.Daksha, later on, arranged for a 'yagna' where everyone except Shiva was invited. Uma, feeling ashamed of the behavior of her father and shocked by the attitude towards her husband, committed Sati (the woman immolates herself in a burning pyre). Shiva came to know about this and went to Daksha's house. He lifted the body of Uma on his shoulders and started dancing madly. With the supreme power dancing, the World was on the verge of destruction. Narayana, (Lord Vishnu) one of the trinity, came forward as a saviour and used his 'Chakra' to cut the Body of Uma into pieces. Those pieces started falling off from the shoulder of the dancing Shiva into different parts of the World. At fifty-two places these pieces fell, the three in Gujarat being; Ambaji in Banaskantha, Bahucharaji in Chunaval and Kalika on Pavagadh hill in Panchmahals. Shiva was finally pacified when the last piece fell off from his shoulder. Narayana revived Uma for a new life. Daksha, who was extremely sorry about his misdeeds, prayed for mercy and was finally forgiven. The places where the pieces had fallen are known as the 'Shakti Piths' or energy pits, few of these places being Kalighat in Calcutta, Kamakshya near Guwahati among others. Ever since peace was restored, Uma, with her four children’s Ganesh, Karthik, Saraswati and Laxmi and with her two 'sakhis' - Jaya and Bijaya, comes to visit her parent's home each year during the season of 'Sharat' or autumn when Durga Puja is celebrated.
• One more legend of Navratri relates to the Hindu epic Ramayana. It goes that Lord Rama worshipped Goddess Durga in nine aspects, for nine days, in order to gather the strength and power to kill Ravana. He wanted to release Sita from the clutches of powerful demon king Ravana, who had abducted her. Those nine nights became to be known as Navratri and the tenth day, on which Lord Rama killed Ravana, came to be called Vijayadashami or Dhushehra, signifying Rama's (good) triumph over Ravana (evil).
• In West Bengal Navratri, and vijayadashami are respectively celebrated as Durga Puja and Dhushehra.
• In South India the festival includes other female deities an dedicates three days of the festival to Lakshmi, the female archetype of wealth and fortune, and another three to Saraswati, the female archetype of learning, music and knowledge.
• In some communities, people undergo rigorous fasts during this season that lasts for the nine days of Navratri. The festival culminates on Mahanavami. On this day, Kanya Puja is performed. Nine young girls representing the nine forms of Goddess Durga are worshiped. Their feet are washed as a mark of respect for the Goddess and then they are offered new clothes as gifts by the worshiper. This ritual is performed in most parts of the country. With commercialisation, the festival has moved on to be a social festival rather than merely a religious one.
However, nothing dampens the spirit of the devout followers of Goddess Durga, as they sing devotional songs and indulge in the celebrations of Navratri, year by year. So it’s my heartiest congratulations to all the worshipers of Mata and May Goddess fulfill there all dreams.

Shashi Tharoor Trapped in Controversy !

Public Figures always receive high respect from common people of India whether they comes from Cricket fraternity, Film Industry or Politics and everything related to their personality always attract, watch and followed by people of this country very seriously and they feel happy to express their opinions against or in favour of them and recently Mr. Shashi Tharoor Minister of State (External Affairs) create big controversy for himself when he wrote on social site Twitter Two words “Cattle Class” to Airlines Economy Class. All it started when Congress led United Progressive Alliance (U.P.A.) started austerity drive and initiative started and directed by Finance Minister Mr.Pranab Mukherjee on 7th September, 2009 when he asked Mr. S.M.Krishna External Affairs Minister and Mr. Shashi Tharoor Minister of State (External Affairs) to vacate the five star hotels they are staying in because they are not allotted government bungalows. Mr. Pranab Mukherjee while talking to media person said “I have requested both Ministers to vacate the hotel rooms and go to their respective Bhavans where they have come from and from where they have been elected and Mr.S.M.Krishna elected from Karnataka while his deputy Mr. Shashi Tharoor elected from Thiruvananthapuram which is a constituency from Kerala state. Then on 12th September,2009 Mr.Pranab Mukherjee asked all the ministries to cut cost by flying in Economy Class ,ministers with physical problems are exempted from it, If somebody is tall or plump, or has a physical problem, how can he or she travel long distance in cramped seats so they are exempted from austerity drive. Then one by one news keep on pouring that Ministers travel by economy class and the name adding in and making list long are Mr.Sharad Pawar, Mr.Pranab Mukherjee,Mamta Banerjee, U.P.A. Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi recently travel from Delhi to Ludhiana by Train and although the External Affairs, Defence and Home Ministers are entitled to use one 14-seater Embraer plane for travel abroad but Mr.S.M.Krishna reschedule his journey and took decision his two-nation tour to Belarus and Turkmenistan starting Tuesday. "I will go by commercial flights, and also reduce the size of members from Twelve to three,” said Krishna, who has been facing criticism for making a five-star hotel his temporary home as the bungalow allotted to him was under renovation, but just two days ago Mr. Shashi Tharoor’s two words on Twitter for economy class of Airlines as “Cattle Class” making lot of section of society furious and perhaps these words are so harsh for him which can create problem for him as far his political career is concern or he may be ignore by his party but certainly it is the story of future and interesting to see in which direction dust will settle down.
Economy Class of Airlines which usually occupied by more then ninety to ninety five percent of Indian who travel by Airlines and rest who travel in First or Business class we can count them on fingers and they are Industrialists, Multi National Executives, Film Fraternity and perhaps may be Cricketers, so if our ministers have problem while traveling along with them in their class barring security point of view then how he/she will justify from the constituency they are ?Every constituency of India have more then ninety percent of voters are from cattle class then how it is possible for him or her to understand problems faced by cattle class because in a constituency there will countless people who are with lot of problems. Interestingly he is highly educated and below is very little shadow of his personality and if somebody has to write anything about him then he/she have to cover very lengthy detail—
• Nationality: British.
• Born: London, 1956.

common saying which is very famous in India striking my mind that is Think before you speak, yes here Mr. Tharoor not speak single word but only written on social networking site but in today’s time blogs and social networking sites are giving us not only opportunity but they spread, follow and get reaction immediately and sometimes it generate criticism, unnecessary reaction from nothing and echo for long time.

Punjab Government Issue Stay on new Tariff Plan !

In the beginning of second week of this month that is on 8th September,2009 Punjab Government took decision to reschedule tariff and fees structure of some services’ and among them on top of was Electricity and Court fees but Individual, Industrialists, political parties and lawyer uproar a lot and protest against these hike because general view was that Electricity supply is not normal and Punjab State Electricity Board on an average daily basis meeting electricity demand through power cut of seven to eight hours in cities but Electricity Supply situation in rural areas are much more worse as there is huge gap for years in Punjab between demand and supply and that’s not all along with it to add insult to injury these new Tariff plan will be effective from 1st April,2009 because people and Industry pass the time of summer with heavy cuts then it’s ridiculous to give money of black out period also, it will be better if first they increase the generation of Electricity, stop giving subsidies to some sections of society and do actively raid on individuals and groups which are involve in the theft of power. Officials keep on ignore public agitation and demands for roll back of new tariff plan of electricity, other then Electricity dearer second was increase in court fees which made lawyers furious and they were not attending courts in protest of increase fees structure and choose the way of protest to pressure government so that government should reconsider there decision.
Today in The Punjab and Haryana High Court two judges bench comprises Chief Justice Honourable Mr. JusticeT.S.Thakur and Honourable Mr. Justice K.S.Ahluwalia bar on increase court fees by Punjab Government and next hearing will be held in this case on 17th November,2009 it mean that now court fees will be collected as per old structure which is good and pleasing news for people of Punjab whose cases’ are in court or new cases’ which are going to proceed, Punjab Chief Minister Media Advisor Mr. Harbans Bains while passing on information said that chief Minister of Punjab has constitute committee having six members team which are having members finance commissioner (Revenue) and bar council five members.
Second good news for residents of Punjab came when in the evening Punjab Government announced that people will get Electricity bills based on old tariff plan and Punjab Chief Minister constitute committee of four members which are Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, Manoranjan Kalia, Sukhdev Singh Dhingsa and Balram Ji dass Tandon and asked them to summit there proposal and recommendations on to increase electricity prices’ and Government will take decision on price hike of electricity only after committee submit its report and till then people can breath relax.
So yesterday was the big relief day for the residents of Punjab as Electricity and court fees both will have huge impact on to there budgets with new tariff plan and fees structure and that’s not all Punjab Government was also planning to increase bus fares. In totality what makes Punjab government to issue stay on both, people have different opinion like somebody are saying it is because pressure by there alliance party B.J.P., protest across all the section of society individual, industrialists and political parties and bar by The Punjab and Haryana High Court on new court fees structure until next hearing that is on 17th November, 2009 but there is no doubt that it will increase state government problem as they have to look now another alternative way to generate revenue which will be helpful to reduce there some financial burden.

Salman Khan on Mission Humanity !

Film fraternity, Cricketers, Politicians and Industrialists if spend time on regular basis or donate money for the society especially for charities, natural calamities, underprivileged and kids with serious disease then it will give them happiness as they use to see them on big screen which will make it memorable & unforgettable moments of there life. Film community always ready to do contribution from there side at every juncture and even lot of actor are attached themselves with charities. Yesterday was day belong to Salman Khan when he visited third time Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai and spend time with kids suffering from cancer and asked media to highlight their plight on the occasion of ''World Lymphoma Day''.He know that cancer treatment is very costly and cannot be afford by everyone so rich should open generously there money vault for them so that every cancer patient get treatment. He donates one year rashan for the patients and beauty of this was that he lifted the rashan bags also plus as per news he was weighted with silver which later on handed over to the authority of hospital, no doubt it will generate some cash. All his gesture are seeing by media as promotion of “wanted” which is his forthcoming movie but Salman Khan has regularly been associated with a number of organisations supporting social causes. He will also be seen in 30 public-awareness short films produced to highlight public issues. These films will have Khan addressing the public on social issues including drug abuse and care for the old and that’s not all he also said bluntly that “There are many people who cannot afford the expensive treatment involved to cure the disease. However, there are others who have plenty of money and they should open their locker and come forward and donate money for such a cause,” said Khan. Last two years gone not good for Salman Khan movies at box office now his three films are going to release in next three months and first to hit the big screen on coming friday is “wanted” and probably in coming two months period comedy film ‘Main aur Mrs. Khanna’ and later on ‘London Dream’ will also release, so he is carrying on to his shoulders lot of stake in coming months which will be helpful if films successful at box office then not only it will be good for his career but also to bollywood which has till date not a good year as far box office is concern. Every human being have mix of good and bad qualities but it is tragedy with Salman Khan that in the past his bad stuff make him in the news and electronics media coverage gave limelight and he become villain and better known as a bad boy, but his good and positive side of personality always remain under dark. Noble gestures by someone always get blessings he stand for. So alongwith charitable organisations he is attached I also pray for long and successful future for Salman Khan.         So taking lesson and leaf out of from Film Fraternity book it is the liabilities of other section of society like Cricketers, Industrialists and Politicians to take out time for Indian who badly in need of their support which will certainly encourage everybody as per there ability to step ahead because every year multi fold of billion of rupees by common Indian present to there respective religious places’ by Hindu, Sikhs, Christian and Muslim and if it goes to needy then they can get there life back to normal because human is best creation of God and to do something for human then indirectly we are doing for God ,if we keep in mind that
Ocean is made from small drops
we are on this earth for some years before us life was in existence in our presence world is on move and after us life will still exist, generally everybody stand financially and without any selfishness for only family, relatives and friends and to stand for humanity it need strong will power and big heart, so one should keep in mind always below coded saying
Life is for generation and name is forever, so be unique in your life people remember you forever.

Blood Donation !

We entered in 21st Centaury and scientists have achieved amazing success in every field relating to human beings whether it is medical, entertainment, luxury, electronics, Travel sector to name a few which make today’s life more comfortable and easy, but inspite of all achievements by human till date scientists are not successful to create alternative of our bodies top most requirement that is blood and that’s why blood donors from countless years playing the role of survivor as far blood requirements by us is concern, blood groups are individual differences in proteins and/or carbohydrates that make up part of the red blood cell membrane. Most of them are inherited just like you inherit eye or hair colour. Human of the world will love to add themselves in this noble cause but because there are lot of myths in our mind relating to blood donation that’s why people step ahead at the time of emergency only and if these myths washed away with authentic and scientific manner then in my opinion then there will be huge jump of blood donors, so below are facts reveal by experts and doctors - Facts about blood donation -
1. Person above 18 years of age and over 50 Kgs. in weight can donate blood once in three months.
2. A normal adult has five to six liters of blood in his/her body of which only 300 ml is used during blood donation.
3. This blood is replaced by your body within 24 to 48 hours.
4. No special diet, rest or medicine is required after blood donation.
5. The donor should not have taken any medicine in the last 48 hours.
6. The donor should not have contacted jaundice in the previous three years.
7. Every donor is given a medical checkup prior to donation to see if he/she is medically fit and doesn't suffer from anemia, high blood pressure etc.,
8. The donor cannot contract AIDS or any other disease by donating blood.
9. At the time of giving blood he should not take any intoxication past twenty four hours.
10. The body contains 10 to 12 pints of blood. Your whole blood donation is approximately one pint and for a platelet donation, the amount collected depends on your height, weight and platelet count. Most blood donations are processed and available for use within 48 hours. Each unit of whole blood normally is separated into several components. Red blood cells may be stored under refrigeration for a maximum of 42 days, or they may be frozen for up to 10 years. Red cells carry oxygen and are used to treat anemia.
Human Blood groups are divided into eight categories and they are –
1. A Rh- positive
2. A Rh-negative
3. B Rh- positive
4. B Rh-negative
5. AB Rh- positive
6. AB Rh- negative
7. O Rh-postive
8. O Rh-negative
As per Experts and Doctors at the time of an emergency, anyone can receive type O red blood cells, and type AB individuals can receive red blood cells of any ABO type. Therefore, people with type O blood are known as “universal donors,” and those with type AB blood are known as “universal recipients.” In addition, AB plasma donors can give to all blood types. In India lot of organisations, individuals are part of blood donation initiative movements but still there are many patients suffering from blood disorders who need frequent blood transfusion all round the year. Especially children suffering from Thallesemia who need two transfusions every month. If a donor adopts a patient for blood transfusion, life will be so easy for these patients. These donors will only donate blood to the patient he/she adopts and if that is not possible then please at least once in your life show courage and must donate blood but voluntarily so that it give you proud that once you was part of noble cause without any interest, selfishness and advantage.Although World celebrates Blood Donation day on every year 14 June but we should not bound ourselves on particular day and go for Blood Donation after three months gap and show our commitments for brotherhood of humanity.

Horoscope & Birth Signs !

From ages’ It’s part of Human beings nature that other praise about his character, personalities and achievements which give relief and immense pleasure and to predict about someone either soothsayer make base of Horoscope or Sun Signs (birth Signs). Horoscopes have been an intriguing part of world culture for centuries. A basic horoscope is related to a person’s birth time, date, and year as well as during which of the twelve Zodiac segments the birth occurs. The year is divided into twelve parts, each named after a different constellation that is prevalent in the sky. Each Zodiac “sign” has both positive and negative characteristics. Then question rises what is Horoscope? Answer of this question is that a Horoscope is a document that is created at the time of a person's birth. It is also known as birth chart or natal chart. When a child is born the date' time and place of birth is taken into consideration when the horoscope is made. It is based on the planetary position at the time of a person's birth. For this to be accurate astrologers believe that the place of the new born as well as the date and precise time of day is of significant value. Once a child is born' it is a custom in most eastern countries to get a birth chart or horoscope made. This will then be used to determine what kind of activities' skills and even future career lines the child should be encouraged to take up. Also' if the child is encountering any dangers during his/ her adolescent age' parents use the horoscope to determine how to act and the precautions to be taken. How important is your horoscope? It is totally dependant on the person who is using it. The importance of your horoscope has a significant affect on how much one believes in their birth chart. If you don't believe in your horoscope' then not much can be accomplished by it. However' what one must keep in mind is that the horoscope is only a document which need to be used as a guide to help one live a better life. The horoscope is helpful in many aspects. A good astrologer is able to explain to an individual through their birth chart the strengths and weaknesses of a person by which one may focus and learn to overcome his/her weaknesses and strengthen their positive traits. Also' a horoscope may be able to predict certain outcomes in a person's life if he/her takes a wrong decision in life. Sometimes' a horoscope may also be able to explain why certain difficult times have arisen' thus making the journey through life a little easier. It is advised by most astrologers that the use of the horoscope it purely in the hands of its owner and should always be used as a guidance. Many people have developed the habit of checking out the horoscope in their morning paper. It has been estimated that horoscopes, whether in the local paper, in glossies, or online publications, have a wide readership. The Zodiac is made up of 12 different sun signs. Your date of birth determines which one you are-
• Aries - March 21 - April 20
• Taurus - April 21 - May 21
• Gemini - May 22 - June 21
• Cancer - June 22 - July 22
• Leo - July 23 -August 21
• Virgo - August 22 - September 23
• Libra - September 24 - October 23
• Scorpio - October 24 - November 22
• Sagittarius - November 23 - December 22
• Capricorn - December 23 - January 20
• Aquarius - January 21 - February 19
• Pisces - February 20- March 20
Most people are familiar with newspaper horoscopes for the day which are based on the sun but it is better if we keep this thing in mind that in the world there countless persons are with same birth signs and few lines written will not accurate to everybody of same Birth sings yes for fun one read it and forget don’t take them seriously. The better readings come from a person’s individual birth chart reading, which looks at the birth planet and the interactions or crossing paths of other sky entities and planets acting on that birth planet. It is common practice in India to get advice from Pandit when ever he start any work, matching horoscope at the time of marriage and sometime if everything is not going in right direction then consult Pandit to reduce the impact of bad planets, but in today time it is seen that Pandit always mislead and exploit persons who contact them and try to collect huge money so it is better if one believe in Horoscope or Sun Signs birth Signs then he always contact reliable soothsayer in good and bad time of his life.

Cricket: ODI v/s T20

Right now Cricket is played by Men in three formats and they are Test Match, One Day International (50 overs Match) & T20.First Test Match Officially played between England and Australia at Melbourne Cricket Ground on 15Th March, 1877 and it was won by Australia by 45 runs, although England Cricket team toured Australia in the year 1861-62 but it not goes in the history book as official. One Day International was played between Australia and England on 05th January,1971 at Melbourne Cricket Ground and concept of one day match generate when third test Match’s first three day rain out then Organisor comes up with idea to abandon the Test Match and in place of it play a game of eight ball overs and total 40 overs per side which was won by Australia and concept of one day game in cricket was born.T20 game is played in English Counties from year 2003 onwards ,off and on T20 game included in the test playing countries but T20 concept not catch the eyes of any country,ICC and crowds until inaugural T20 World Cup held in South Africa in the year 2007 which was won by India and in the final they beat Pakistan by five runs ,with It Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in the year 2008 announced begin of Indian Premier League(IPL) based on the pattern of English Premier Football League, having games of T20 and successfully hosted two season of IPL which takes T20 popularity through the roofs in days and so it is now hugely popular and kill and pull the crowd of ODI towards itself and taken other formats under its shadow from popularity point of view and crowd presence in the stadium is drastically going southward.
From three to four years now Test match game and One day International game right now played with two third empty stadiums barring when Australia played against England and India play against Pakistan or India play anywhere in the globe these teams able to pull crowd and known money spinner of tournaments .In 50 overs match some below coded points become harmful for it’s concept after the popularity of T20-
• One has to take off whole day to get full excitement and result of the game and if it played in day night version then game takes two days of crowd, if he/she present in stadium or die hard fan of game.
• Toss play crucial role in the outcome of result.
• Low scoring first inning makes the result predictable and if it is played desperately by home team then crowd sometime become violent especially if the games are played in Indian subcontinent.
All this leads to one day Internationals existence in danger and it demand from authority to amend it’s rule considering the popularity of T20.It is not long ago that Sachin Tendulkar India’s well known current player of the game who scored maximum runs in this form of the game, considering one day International downfall in popularity express his opinion that one day should be divide into 25 overs two innings game which will take care of all the above coded points and certainly will make popular among mass’, but with his view lot of pro and anti remarks comes from players and as the decision has to be taken by the International Cricket Council which is governing body of Cricket and just today ICC cricket manager Dave Richardson said that we are considering to split One day International game into 25 overs two innings each and it will be test on trial basis in the domestic cricket of South Africa in the games which are fifty overs game and if it will be successful then people will see ODI’s new incarnation but only after it will be discuss in the next meeting of the ICC's cricket committee which will meet on 2010 but He said that he like the idea.
Today Indian Cricket team starts it’s crucial campaign in the ODI Tri Series and right now game is being played between India and New Zealand ,for India it is crucial because India is few games away to become number one team which will be first time ever in the history of One Day Team ranking but the game is watched by handful of spectators, So new Initiatives which are due from ICC to pull out ODI which have lost its shine drastically from T20 and on trail basis in South Africa announcement by Dave Richardson shows how much they are seriously looking, considering and trying to implement new steps for the welfare of ODI.

Pakistan and China: Two sides of a Coin

India has neighbouring countries in alphabet order Bangladesh, Bhutan, Burma, China, Nepal, Pakistan & Sri Lanka and except Sri Lanka with all other countries it’s border touches , it’s pleasing to code here that all the border touching countries are friendly with India except Pakistan & China and they never ever miss any chance to embarrass India and one can easily say they are two side of a coin for India it’s example is that Pakistan based Terrorist organisation Lashker-e-toibha (LeT) when in U.N.O. all the permanent members support to ban it but China being permanent members veto it thus proposal not go through despite China’s knowledge and information that it is terrorist organisation and indulge in terrorist action against India from Pakistan soil. Later on it is learnt that China just cover Pakistan because China treat Pakistan as its friend more then India.
Pakistan---From the time it separate from India, Pakistan always try to destablise India with it’s efforts, which are always and fully supported by Pakistan Military and it’s intelligent service ISI. Despite having war against India in the year 1965 and 1971 and Pakistan’s aggression in the year 1971 cost it heavily by losing of it’s control and territory which is now known as Bangladesh, but it not take lesson from the history and try to create problems from lot of fronts to India. In the eighties Pakistan create terrorism in Punjab state through funding and training by misleading youth but it was failure, then it support separatist groups of Kashmir and always made noises’ on all the world’s platforms that in Kashmir local are not safe(Kashmiri) in India they want independent from India but with strong diplomatic moves Pakistan always fail, then it try to destablise India by supporting, giving shelter to proclaim dreaded criminals of India and despite India’s evidence to Pakistan of there criminal records in India and India’s demand of deportation, Pakistan always deny having any of them in their territory, terrorist organisations having headquarters in Pakistan’s different territories involved in countless terrorist attacked in India till date and always deny it’s any type of involvement in terrorists attacks, It’s recent example is that 26 Novemeber,2008 terrorist attack on Mumbai having evidence and arrest of kasab,Pakistan cleverly keep on playing the game of denial through media for months that kasab is not Pakistani and when they accepts kasab is Pakistani then Pakistani officials keep on demanding of evidence to take judicial action against lashker-e-toibha head Hafiz Mohd. Saeed, inspite of forwarding six times dossier Pakistani officials find inclusive evidence to prove Mohammad hafiz is guilty now it’s almost going to touch one year time of Mumbai terrorist attack but India is unable to succeed to get criminals behind bars and that’s not all even sometimes back Prime Minister of Pakistan Mr.Yusuf Raza Gilani drag India with activity of supporting separatist of Blochistan province and then attack on cricket players of Sri Lanka declared India was behind attacks, Now from almost year time they are manufacturing fake Indian currency notes of five hundreds denominations and one thousands denominations and supplying to India, just recently as per statement by Reserve Bank of India that Pakistan is successful in making security features just like original notes which in the past it was not possible, So all this show that Pakistan is a country India should never ever accept them as a friendly country and whenever wherever it will get chance it will take full advantage of it.
China—India had war with china in the year 1962 and often news was keep on coming of incursion or anti India activity by China, recently in almost two months period below coded action by Chinese show their intention—
• One of China Government supported website it was written in the month of July that china should divided India into 26 states with the help of friendly country like Pakistan.
• Almost two weeks ago Chinese helicopter enter into India air space and shows their aggressiveness towards India
• Just week ago Chinese army personnel’s entered into India territory by crossing LaC up to 1.5 kms, there they wrote in Chinese with red china.
So what it shows aggressiveness by china is not by mistake but they are with plan to create problems for India and they can also add there friend Pakistan in these anti India activities who is India’s enemy from it’s inception, it’s time for Indian concerned authority to be vigil against both countries and don’t take them lightly and one can say they are two sides of a coin for India.

Electricity Dearer in Punjab !

Today it was believed that The Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (PSERC) Chairman Jai Singh Gill will announce revised tariff of Electricity in press conference for Punjab State because earlier it was scheduled for announcement yesterday that is on 7th Septemeber, 2009 but because of death of former Chief Minister of Punjab Harcharan Singh Brar State Government declared holiday and it was postpone till today, So today new tariff announced and three categories of power consumers that is Domestic, Non residential and Industrial ,there existing and new tariffs detail are below mentioned ---
Sr.No:SlabsExisting RatesMMC Rates Rs/KWNew ratesMMC New rates Rs/KW

and free units as subsidies will be continue to the following categories of consumer--

• SC Domestic consumers with connected load upto 1000 watts will be given 200 units of free power per month in view of Government subsidy.

• Non-SC BPL Domestic Consumers with connected load upto 1000 watts will be given 200 units free power per month in view of Government subsidy.

• Declared new tariff will be dearer to all the above categories are approximately 17 percentage.

The subsidy amount being given by state Government to PSEB in lieu of free power to agriculture sector and SC /ST families has been increased from Rs. 2600 Crores to Rs. 3100 Crores. In Punjab as per news there is huge gap between demand and supply and till date in state Punjab State Electricity Board is adjusting the supply gap by load shedding of five to six hours during day time when people are at works and shocking aspect of power cut is that when Bharatiya Janta Party was in opposition and Indian National Congress was ruling the state then BJP in the time of summer against power cut agitate but now as it is the alliance party and governing the state, it’s M.L.A.’s now not feeling the heat generate by power cuts not only in the summer season but also in the last winter season, it shows how much they are sincere towards the difficulties of common people? Now that with new tariff it will certainly increase their power cost budget without getting power so they have not only continue to spend money on alternative power sources like generators or inverters but also have to pay more on electricity units.
Shocking part of this new tariff plan is that it will be effective from 1st April,2009 it mean that now consumers have to pay for pass five months also and it will be collected from them through coming months in equal installments as arrear.
