Magician and Indian Hockey ( Part I )

Hockey is India’s National Sport and has golden era before independence from 1928 Olympic Games which were held in Amsterdam, Netherlands onwards till 1956 Olympic Games which were held in 1956 Melbourne, Australia and then in 1964 Olympic Games which were held in Tokyo, Japan in all the games India won gold medal and then Indian Hockey team’s performance in International tournaments was not consistent resulting ups and downs and whenever in India Hockey remember then along with it Mr. Dhyan Chand name will pop up and shine forever as he at it’s own single handedly took Indian Hockey name at world level and today is the lucky day as on 29th August 1905 Mr. Dhyan Chand was born in Allahabad (U.P.) and India on every 29Th August celebrate as National Sports Day when the national sporting awards are handed out by the President of India at Rashtrapathi Bhavan,so it’s a pleasing feeling if I write on his birthday by remembering his achievements and in part two of this series will write India’s standing In Olympics, Asian Games and India’s current ranking in International Hockey. It’s my tribute to the greatest Sportsman produce by India in Hockey and below is detail I have found in history books relating to his life –
Mr.Dhyan Chand Singh was born on August 29, 1905 to a Bais Rajput, family in Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh. His father Mr. Sameshwar Dutt Singh was an Indian Army Subedar who had played hockey in the army. Dhyan Chand had two brothers – Mr. Mool Singh, later a hawaldar in the army and Mr. Roop Singh, because of his father's numerous army transfers, the family kept on moving to different cities and as such Mr. Dhyan Chand Singh could not study. He thus had to terminate his education after class six. The family finally settled in Jhansi. Being in the military, Singh's father got a small piece of land for a house. He joined the army at the age of sixteen. Lance Naik' Dhyan Chand first built a reputation for himself while playing for the army. Mr. Dhyan Chand's imposing statue at the entrance of the National Stadium (main venue of the inaugural Asian Games in 1951) is a reminder of the all-time legend of hockey who brought so much glory to both the game and the nation. The Government of India honoured him that year by conferring him the Padma Bhushan (India's third highest civilian honour). The Government of India released a postage stamp in his honour on December 3, 1980, exactly a year after he died in hospital. At the Berlin Olympics in 1936 Mr. Dhyan Chand could not play for finals against Germany, as he was hurt. At half point, when India led by only 1-0 Mr. Dhyan Chand removed his shoes and entered the playing field bare feet, He took India to a stunning victory scoring 6 more goals. Adolf Hitler, the German dictator, was so impressed by Dhyan Chand's performance in the Berlin Olympic finals that he offered to elevate 'Lance Naik' Dhyan to the rank of a Colonel if he migrated to Germany. Of course, Dhyan Chand refused politely. It was hard to believe that somebody could have the hockey skills as Mr. Dhyan Chand had. In Holland, the authorities broke his hockey stick to check if there was a magnet inside, in Japan they felt Mr. Dhyan was using some glue which made the ball stick to it. After his retirement, Dhyan Chand earned a diploma in coaching from the National Institute of Sports in Patiala, in Punjab. However he found it difficult to coach something that was innate to him. Residents of Vienna, Austria honoured him by setting up a statue of him with four hands and four sticks, depicting his control and mastery over the ball. It was said that once ball touch Mr. Dhyan Chand sticks then without hitting goal post of Opposition it remained intact with his stick. One of his famous statues is at the National Stadium near India Gate, New Delhi while another was erected in 2005 at Medak in Pradesh. In 1956, at the age of 51, he retired from the army with the rank of Major
• A famous incident occurred when Singh was 14. He went with his father to an army hockey match. One of the teams was down by two goals. Singh repeatedly told his father that if given a chance, he could make the losing team win. Finally an army officer allowed him to play. He went and scored 4 goals. The impressed officer inducted him into the Children's Platoon.
• A number of urban legends revolve around the fact that Singh had such control over dribbling the ball. Many say that German Olympic officials broke his hockey stick to search for a magnet inside, and tried to console themselves saying he had added some sort of glue.
• Another story goes that a lady from the audience asked Singh to play with her walking stick instead. Once during a tour of Lyon in 1963, a female fan planted a kiss on Dhyan Chand despite him trying his best to avoid that.
Legends and Stories relating to the great of Indian Hockey are countless and to pick each & everyone and place here is impossible but it will be a true tribute to him if our Indian Hockey players with determination and hard work take Indian Hockey to back it’s Golden Era which lost it’s shine from Indian mind’s & heart’s at the same there is no doubt that it can be hard and daunting task but certainly not impossible, In it’s second edition I shall write Indian performances’ at Olympics, Asian Games and there current ranking.
……..to be continued……..

Good Initiative

To take India towards new heights economically there was utmost need of time that young mind ( students) from every class irrespective of their family background get equal opportunities for study provided if they are brilliant and certainly deserve to go further for any technical or higher study but sometimes money hamper their ambition whom they deserve to be part of their life as technical education or higher study is very costly and that's why affordable by rich and up to some extent by middle class but financially weak never ever thought even in their dreams to go for higher study and fulfil their dream and ambition, but just yesterday announcement came from Central Government relating to education which will please and make happy many aspiring young minds to fulfil their dreams as now Government will take their some financial burden.
Yesterday in the Central Cabinet Committee meeting lot of important decisions taken which would be beneficiary for different section of society and along with it one decision taken by Central Cabinet Committee was relating to the weaker section of society aspiring young students who some times give up their ambition and preferences of study because of high cost but yesterday cabinet meeting certainly take care of their problem and students from the families which have income of up to 4.5 Lakhs annually will be benefited and kids who want to join technical or professional courses they will be entitled full rebate of interest on to their education loans which will be bear by the government and this benefit will be start with current educational session.Educational loan's benefit will be begin with start of course and one year after the end of course or after six months of getting job which ever will comes first and after this loan holder is entitle for interest means then he have also to pay interest. Any student with family income of 4.5 lakhs annually can get this benefit but only once during his/her study time and he can avail this opportunity for Graduate Degree Course or Post Graduate Degree Course or for Diploma Course choice is purely of student,so brilliant minds wont have to create extra burden and tension in their mind that lack of money or higher cost of higher education can become obstacles in their dreams as along with them government will share cost by taking responsibility of their loan amount interest until they complete course. With Implementation of this scheme it is believed that almost seven to eight Lakhs of students of weaker section of society will get benefit,so after their choice of study they can give to society a positive and constructive approach.
For the upliftment of deserving weaker section these type of schemes are good and need to be welcome as it not only minimise frustration among aspiring and deserving but also help them to become respectable citizen of this country and in my opinion instead of giving reservation in study and career to the weaker section which often take right of deserving middle class brilliant minds government should only entitle them for financial support not for reservation which some candidates despite study unable to do justice at the time of study and later on with career or in other words not deserve to select for certain critical and crucial sector which need efficient mind.

Ganesh Chaturthi !

Ganesh Chaturthi is a Hindu festival. This Ganesh Chaturthi festival is celebrated on birthday of lord Ganesh on the fourth day of moon’s bright fortnight mean period from new moon in the lunar month of Bhadrapada. Lord Ganesha is popularly known as the lord of wisdom and power. People make and decorate big idol of lord Ganesha and then they offer them pooja and prasada. At last people make big procession to nearest water source like river or sea. People enjoy this procession with dance, music and colours. Usually Ganesh Chaturthi continues for five to ten days and even some celebrates Ganesh Chaturthi for twelve days Last time when the procession reaches to the sea, people again offer pooja etc. While Ganesh Chaturthi celebrated all over India, Ganesh Chaturthi festivities are most elaborate in states like Maharashtra, Goa (It is the biggest festival for Konkani people all over the world), Gujarat, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, and other areas which were former states of the Maratha Empire. Outside India, it is celebrated in Nepal by the Newars. In the 21st century, with the world turning fast into a global village, Ganesh Chaturthi is now celebrated all over the world, wherever there is a presence of a Hindu community
Ganesh Chaturthi in Year 2009 is on Sunday 23rd August.
It is believed that Lord Ganesh was born on a fourth day (Chaturthi) of the bright fortnight of the Hindu lunar month of Magh. Since then, an association between Ganesh and Chaturthi has been established. Thus the festival dedicated to the worship of Lord Ganesha on this Chaturthi day is named as Ganesh Chaturthi. Lord Ganesh is Son of Lord Shiva and Maa Parvati, as per belief of Hindus whenever somebody start any new or auspicious work it is good for prosperity and success to have blessings of Lord Ganesha’s as he is God of Prosperity.
• There is a curiously interesting tale about the birth of Ganesha. It is believed that once while Parvati was bathing, she created a human figure from some unguent and balm, gave him life and asked him to guard the door while she bathed. After a long period of meditation on Mountain Kailash (Lord Shiva’s abode), Shiva chose that very moment to drop by to see his better half, but was abruptly stopped by the man-god Parvati had posted at the door. Outraged by the cheek of this stranger, Shiva cut off his head only to discover moments later that he had killed Parvati’s son! For fear of enraging his wife, Shiva immediately dispatched his ganas (attendants) to get him the head of the first living creature they could find. Well, the first living creature happened to be an elephant. As instructed, the head was chopped off and brought back to Shiva, who placed it on Parvati’s son’s body, bringing him back to life. This elephant-headed God was welcomed into the first family of the Hindu heavens and named Ganesha or Ganapati, which literally means the chief of the ganas, or the attendants of Shiva. Ganesha is the foremost God of the Hindu pantheon. This brave guardian of the door to Parvati’s bath is beheld today as the most auspicious God of new beginnings. He is worshipped during every festival and before people undertakes a journey or embarks upon a new venture. You will also see him carefully guarding entrances to temples and homes, peeping out of calendars and happily gracing marriages and other such occasions.
• One more legend found relating to Lord Ganesha which is based on to his wisdom that is once God think to have leader of Gods and it was decided to have a race in which participants has to circle the earth three times and on race day Kartikey on his Vahnaa that is Peacock and Ganesh on rat start race but considering the race tough Ganesh circle three times of his parents and said my parents pervade the globe and moving around them mean moving around earth, everybody convince his logic and accept him as their leader.
It is still treated not good to look at the moon on that day as the moon had laughed at Ganesha when he fell from rat. With the immersion of the idol amidst the chanting of "Ganesh Maharajah Ki Jai!" (Hail Lord Ganesh). The festival ends with pleas to Ganesha to return the next year with chants of
"Ganapati bappa morya, pudcha varshi laukar ya" (Hail Lord Ganesh, return again soon next year)
We hope that with the blessings of Lord Ganesha on to his devotees will bring prosperity, happiness and health, which will make their beliefs strong on to God’s action .

Two Bad News for India

Everyday comes with good or bad news for country, community and individual & unfortunately today’s dawn have two bad news one was related to H1N1 virus better known as swine flu and it is declared by World Health Organisation as pandemic and second was Switzerland authority denied to give detail and information of accounts which are belong and operated by Indian and deposit considered as Black Money and Bhartiyah Janta Party made it a issue in the 15th General Elections that if they will come into power then they will do their level best on priority basis to bring back black money which is approximately have touch the figure of 1400 billion dollars or 1.4 Trillion dollars deposited by Indian in other part of globe which considered tax heaven but Bhartiyah Janta Party loss the Election but U.P.A. Government proceed the case and today it was announced that India wont succeed to get the access and information of Indian accounts. The detail of both the news stories mentioned below –
1• World Health Organisation ( W.H.O. ) yesterday warn that Swine flu can become strong in the winter season and India is one of the country where winter season is shortly going to begin and as per World Health Organisation swine flu in summer season is not effective and strong as much it is in spring and winter season. In India despite past three months was of scorching heat and still the days are of summer but the bad news is that despite summer season across India swine flu grip lot of states of India and till date as per news sixty eight people lost their lives whose detail are-

• Chattisgarh 03
• Delhi 03
• Goa 01
• Gujarat 06
• Haryana 01
• Karnataka 12
• Kerala 01
• Maharashtra 35
• Rajasthan 02
• Tamil Nadu 03
• Uttarakhand 01

Swine Flu does not spread further in India which can become reason of further loss of lives there is necessity that Indian Government and public both fight this virus collectively and people should must be aware how much dangerous swine flu virus? Now it is spreading through human to human, infected person must be isolated so that other persons avoid becoming victim of virus, its better if infected person wear mask, avoid public gathering and as winter season is next every Indian should consider it responsibility or duty towards humanity that they must be alert and vigil and whenever swine flu like case appear around them then take the infected person to the hospital and have proper treatment plus isolate patient.
2. Swiss authority yesterday denied to give access and information of the Indian accounts which are considered Black Money and it is as per estimates have touch the figure of 1.4 Trillion or 1400 Billion dollars, if deposited money comes back to India and invested in public utility or other government projects then India’s lot of problem will solve which are lack of money yet not started & implemented and top of these projects which need to begin on priority basis are Health, Poverty, Electricity Projects. So what Swiss authority has denied but Indian officials can still keep their case pursue as Swiss authority denied Indian but ready to fully cooperate U.S. Government and going to hand over detail of 1440 accounts of U.S. Citizens and for anything there should not be set of two different rules it only need from Indian authority some convening efforts so that Swiss cooperate them and pass on information’s and detail of Indian accounts.
No doubt Today Indian gets bad information but nothing is impossible to get rid on but yes it can be tough, even impossible store opposite meaning of it
I M POSSIBLE
So what is desire is that we should look possibilities in the negative and proceed again with full of acceptance of success in our action
Where there is will there is way.

Vehicle Owners: A Good News

When ever somebody purchase new vehicle it is matter of proud and happiness for Owner but when he go out to complete formalities sometimes government control service like registration of vehicle give him worst and bitter experience of his life as sometimes concerned officer not available, sometimes holiday and sometimes other terms so registration of vehicle become very cumbersome.Delhi is first state which has authorise automobile dealers of companies to register vehicle which is very pleasing for the owner as he escape visiting transport office again & again and get his vehicle registered on the spot, it is thoroughly a welcome step which should be follow by all the states of India and also try to take initiative to reduce such burden & workload from other Government department also whom public face a lot resultant become part of corruption.
A news came that Punjab Government is also contemplating to allow authorise automobile dealers to make registration of new vehicles on Delhi base pattern and chances are that coming week has store good news for would be new vehicles owners that automobile dealers will start making of registration of sold vehicles from their premises. It will work like this on monthly basis automobiles dealers will be allotted numbers by transport department and then dealers from their work place after completing formalities can grant the number, right now automobiles dealer of Punjab are issuing temporary numbers but after certain time sold new vehicles need to get permanent numbers. Once this practice begin in Punjab then visiting again and again in the district transport office to get Registration certificate of new vehicle will be story of past .Then concerned dealers after making Registration Certificate would be mandatory to forward it’s complete and full information to transport department of concerned district and this facility at automobile dealers will be available to the new customer without any extra cost and government is making this possible that dealers wont harass customers on to name of this service from their premises but yes customers have to bear the government fees of registration of new vehicles and every dealers has to display detail of registration amount at their commercial place for the connivance of the customers. Newly going to be introduce this practice can be execute by only authorise automobile dealers and sub dealers would not be entitle to make registration certificates from their premises. At present process of making registration certificate is very tedious like owner of vehicle has to visit transport office once on any working day to verify engine number and chassis number and then also he wont get registration certificate on same day but have to wait for specific time which told by transport department’s concerned person and again he has to visit on that day regardlessly he has free time or not to collect the registration certificate from transport office.
Lot of Government domain services’ need transfer of workload which not only will reduce burden on the government department’s but it will give sigh of great relief to the public as some times lot of persons become victim of corruption, harassment and exploitation by department unnecessarily which only make genuine person angry and depressed .

Fake Currency Notes !

Pakistani establishments are using all sources to destabilise India through terrorism, anti Indian groups & organisations, India’s most dreaded fugitives and from some months now they have added one more link in their actions that is Counterfeit Indian Currency notes of one thousand rupees denominations, five hundred denominations and one hundred denominations. As per news they have access of ink and paper which is used in to produce original Indian currency notes thus they are able to make similar to just like original which through eyes it’s hard to differentiate but water mark and other security features make duplicate and original two different currencies along with it is worth mentioning that this process is very cumbersome and tedious as it need to scrutinise one by one note and if somebody have transaction of lakhs then he has to spend hours so that he feel satisfied that he is carrying original notes. Pakistan is supplying fake currency notes through agents, criminals, greedy persons once these persons able to push these fake currency notes into Indian markets then it’s victim are innocent people of this country and at the same it’s not that Indian authority are unable to catch them or they are taking not any action against these criminal minds but everyday news relating to catch of fake currency notes published and the amount of fake Currency Notes channelise in the Indian markets by Pakistani establishments are countless and still they are trying to add heavily on daily basis which makes people scary to have these denominations notes in their pockets because with widespread circulation of fake currency notes, bankers and police officials have cautioned the people to be watchful while accepting and giving away currency notes of any denomination.
“If you are found to posses’ fake currency notes, and you cannot explain from where you got them, you can even go to jail and face all the trouble for no fault of yours,” cautioned the assistant manager of State Bank of India, Mr Pradeepkumar Nair said that most people do not want to deal with this problem by taking recourse to law.
He further said that it is not possible to check each and every currency note you get in a bundle or from a ATM. In fact, most people do not even know how to check, detect or differentiate a fake note from a genuine one.
The Reserve Bank of India had estimated the amount of fake currency notes in circulation to be almost Rs 1.7 trillion in the 2006. “See, we have our own system to verify the genuine and fake notes, besides we have our own cash management services and in this regard we have taken certain measures to create an awareness amongst our customers and to begin with we have adopted display system before the cash counters,” Mr Nair mentioned. Officials say there’s a high volume of fake notes of Rs 100, Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 in the market, and that they have had limited success so far in controlling their spread. The Naik Committee, set up to assess the menace of fake currency, says counterfeit money in the range of Rs 1,69,000 crores is sloshing around the system. And just a tiny fraction of it has been seized: Rs 63 crores and as per estimates the cost of manufacturing a fake Rs 1,000 note is about Rs 400 Making, keeping, distributing or using fake notes comes under organized crime Punishment: Can go up to Life Sentence.
Then Question rises if India can get rid from fake notes? If answer is yes, then how? because huge inflow and catch of fake currency notes’ presence in the market making Indian scared ,as per my opinion below mentioned can be effective tools to fight against fake currency notes -
. Indian scientist’s develop a device which scan and scrutinise set of hundred in seconds which should be based on some special security feature’s whose duplicacy is not possible and Reserve Bank of India make it mandatory that these devices must be install on every branch of Bank regardless they are privates or P.S.U’s and anybody should have access of these machine free of cost so that cash carried by a genuine person he/she should be free from any type of tension and suspicion in his mind.
.Secondly if any body catch and carried fake currency notes then penalty of life imprisonment and to avoid any misuse of this law catch person should allow to put his case but the case should run and settle fast track courts and in not more then 30 days.
.Thirdly government make it law any transaction of over one lakh mature through cheques or draft and in cash it is illegal then in the market at its own consumption of One thousand notes, Five hundred Notes will come down drastically which is right now become source of headache to authority and tension to countrymen.

If below coded steps Government take then we can control rather erase corruption from society and can leave behind any country of the world in prosperity –

Government make a body which should have representatives from opposition parties parliamentarian, consumer welfares societies and non government organisations at every district level of country and they should submit their reports on weekly basis to the President not to the Prime Minster as in some cases Prime minister can be bias and committee’s recommendation and trail should be held on fast track courts and verdict should be out in less then one month period, this body should have no power other then to check and scrutinise any ministry records, spending of funds by all Government departments plus every ministries tenders, spending and construction details copy reach to this committee at its own .Money allotted to any department must have transparency and person arrested on charge of corruption whether it’s siphon of money, bribe, bias allotment, adulterations ,substandard supply, black marketing should have rigorous life imprisonment along with seize and transfer of property to government and monetary punishment minimum fifty lakhs so that corrupt mind think several time to involve in any type of corruption which not only gives bad name but also effect productivity
Inspite India is at 88 number on corrupt country index which certainly need to improve and by no mean it’s impossible but all it desire is strong will power ,tough measures and immediate above coded action.

Humiliation

On Saturday that is 15th August,2009 when Indian were celebrating 63 Independence Day not only in India but across the globe wherever Indian community reside to express and show that despite they are physically far away from their country but they have as much regard & respect for India and it’s achievement & festivals as much citizen of India , on this day they host functions and gathering in the country where they presently reside and also invite icons ,well known public figures of different fields like politics, films and Cricketer but on this auspicious and happy day a news came from America which is sad as Humiliation and malpractices on Indians these days have been the most all over the world and the latest victim to such humiliation is Mr. Shahrukh Khan in which this well known Actor Mr. Shahrukh Khan specially travel to participate on the functions of Independence day but at Newark Airport he was humiliated by authorities/Security personals for almost two hours as if he was criminal, despite Mr. Shahrukh Khan’s clarifications that he is an actor and let me have contact to India through phone but he was deny to phone and even at Airport he was recognise their by a person who said I know him he is Shahrukh Khan but authority there oversight this and said his name pop up on to our computer, so we have to check him and as per information he was released after intervention by Indian High Commission .Well in today’s environment it’s really good to be alert but it should have some respect for other countries icon, well known public faces as they travel their country not to do any wrong thing but just to be part of some project in which their participation is utmost. The most shocking of this happening was that Indian respectable personalities were third time humiliated and America was directly Involve in all these humiliations it was known to everybody because Indian electronics and print media able to gather these incidence and highlighted it otherwise don’t known for how many times Indians were humiliated, and below is detail of such shameful humiliations -
Mr. George Fernades - In the year 2003 when Mr. George Fernades was Defence Minister of India he was strip search by officials at U.S. Airport and then seeking to calm the ripples on the reported ''strip-search'' of former Defence Minister George Fernades at a US airport in 2003, on the eve of US Deputy Secretary Richard Armitage's talks with the senior Indian leadership, the US Embassy here apologise for the fact that appropriate diplomatic procedures had not been observed. There is in place an established procedure whereby heads of state, government ministers and other foreign dignitaries are accorded special diplomatic procedures during entry to the US,'' a US Embassy spokesperson said. ``We're sorry that these procedures were not observed in the case of the Defence Minister's 2003 transit of the US and regret any inconvenience caused,'' the spokesperson added. The comment comes after reports of a book on India by Armitage''s predecessor, Strobe Talbot (`Engaging India: Diplomacy and the Bomb''), in which the author has Fernandes telling him that he was ``strip-searched'''' during a trip to the US.
Doctor A.P.J Kalam (Former President of India) - Doctor APJ Abdul Kalam who apparently was traveling from New Delhi to Newark by Continental Airlines CO-083 on April 21. He was accompanied to aircraft by duty officer of CISF and his personal secretary. At the door of the aircraft, Doctor Kalam was asked to remove his shoes by Continental Airlines security staff. CISF officer told Continental staff Kalam was exempt from checking according to Indian Government rules. But the Continental security in-charge insisted that check was required for every passenger. Kalam went through with the security check and boarded flight. BCAS letter says staff was reportedly rude during Kalam’s boarding.

Mr. Shahrukh Khan – On 15th August, 2009 his experience at Newark Airport Shahrukh Khan while speaking to the media said, "I was detained against my will at Newark and the airport authorities questioned me for almost 2 hours at a stretch. They were continuously asking irrelevant questions and demanded me to introduce someone I knew in America. Despite my explanations that I am a movie star and returning back after signing a deal with Fox Company, the humiliating interrogation continued until they decided to leave me.” On his frisking experience, SRK continued that they were many people who were detained in the room for second check on their visas and even though his documents were legal, he was questioned. The authorities didn't mind even when a large group of fans in the room thronged towards me to get autographs and identified me so clear. I had to make calls to the Indian embassy and Congress MP Rajiv Shukla who rescued me from the nightmare. But, what about the fate of unidentified other Indians,' said Shahrukh Khan.
On the name of security India’s three well known Indian personalities on different occasions were humiliated by American’s neglecting norms which apply to dignitaries or icons and as humiliation is keep on happening on Indian, through proper channel India should registered strong reaction .

This first war of Indian independence was termed as a mutiny by the British. Although not a success, this revolt sowed the seed for a new force, which was to take this struggle to its rightful end. Lord Krishna Birthday: Janamashtami !

Today across India people are celebrating Lord Krishna Janamashtami. Janamashtami legends relates to the different interesting stories of Lord Krishna. Beginning from his birth till the days of his later years, people know Lord Krishna as a Protector of human beings. They still remember and commemorate his birth to honor him for what He did for humankind. On the day of Janamashtami, people pray to him to destroy all the evil from this earth and make it the best place to live in. they ask forgiveness for their misdeeds and also thank him for His benevolence. They know that he will always be there for their help.
Celebrated on the eighth day of Savana month, Janamashtami marks the birth of Lord Krishna, an avatar of Lord Vishnu. The festival is celebrated across the length and breadth of India, by people following Hinduism. In fact, it is an important day for Hindus. The celebration goes on for two days. On the first day, the Raslila (dance drama) is performed, which depicts the important phases of Lord Krishna's life. The merrymaking reaches it peak at midnight stroke, when aarti is performed and bhajans are sung to praise the Lord. Small children are dresses as the young Krishna and his playmate Radha. Then there are folklores and stories which are recited on the occasion, they are generally connected to the history of Janamashtami, which can be traced back to the ancient era.
Historians calculate that the birth of Lord Krishna goes back to the Dwapar Yug. It is in the year of Visvavasu around 3227 BC when Lord Krishna was born. He was born on a dark, stormy night on the day eight day of the second fortnight of the month of Shravana which now corresponds to the month of August-September in the Gregorian calendar. Born in the prison of Demon Kansa, from Kansa’s sister Devaki and Vasudeva, Krishna was declared to be the savior of mankind and the end of Kansa even before his birth. Krishna, right from the day of birth exhibited that he was a special child and there was extraordinary powers with him. Throughout his childhood and adolescence in Gokul, he did many things which made people believe that he was a form of God. Since then, the people of Nandgaon celebrated the birth of Krishna as a day of fortune.
Janamashtami is the day to commemorate the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna. Lord Krishna is the eight incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Every year in India, people celebrate Janamashtami with lot of fervor and enthusiasm. There is lot of enjoyment and merrymaking with lots of Janamashtami activities. One of the most popular is the breaking of ‘dahi handi’ or the butter pot. This year because of swine flu Maharashrastra Government ban on dahi handi .We all know about Janamashtami celebrations, so let us know about the Janamashtami history and we will find below coded legends-
• Janamashtami history dates back to thousand years. People have come to know about the different legends of Janamashtami through scholars and other elderly people. It is believed that Lord Krishna was born for killing Kansa and other demons, to free the earth from all sources of evil, to spread the message of brotherhood and to aid Arjun (one of the Pandavas) during the epic battle of Kurukshetra.
• As per another Janamashtami legends. It is said that Lord Krishna lifted the Mount Govardhan in order to save the people of Gokul from the thundershowers and storm sent by Lord Indra—God of thunder. Known as a cowherd boy or Govinda and Gopala, Lord Krishna is one of the most revered Gods. There are numerous tales regarding his divine magic and help extended to people.
• Some Janamashtami legendary tales regarding Lord Krishna when he was a child. These are known as Bal Leela. These activities of Lord Krishna were also to save the people of Mathura (his birth place) and Gokul. Killing of She-demon Putana and other devil Trinivarta is worth mentioning. It was while killing demo ness Putana that the fair complexioned Lord Krishna turned dark. He had actually sucked the poisoned milk from her breast. Lord Krishna also tamed a huge snake called Kalia, who live in the River Yamuna and who had terrorized the people of Gokul.
• Some scholars and historians tell us that it was due to the extreme tyranny of King Kansa and other demons that Lord Vishnu decided to take birth on the earth in human form. Hence, Lord Krishna was born. Legends have it that people of Mathura were suffering under the rule of Kansa. He had put his father King Ugrasen in prison and declared himself to be the King. However, he was very cruel. One day, the heavenly voice declared that he would be killed by one of the children of his sister Devaki.Since then, Kansa became insecure and planned to kill all the children of Devaki and Vasudeva. Lord Krishna was that child who was born to Devaki but was brought up by Yashoda and Nand at Gokul. All his efforts failed and ultimately King Kansa was killed.
On the day of Janamashtami, people bathe the baby Krishna and perform elaborate and grand Janamashtami pooja. On this day, Lord Vishnu is invoked to bestow us with good luck and prosperity; to fulfill all our wishes. Besides, the historical background of Janamashtami tells us that Lord Krishna loved milk and milk products. Hence, people prepare delicious delicacies on this day especially from milk, butter and curd. Even thousands of years after his heavenly abode, people observe this day as a day of fortune and commemorate the birth of Lord Krishna by fasting and feasting. People believe Krishna to be the ultimate savior of the world. One who unlike other gods, can be regarded, as a lover, friend, divine guru or one’s own child. People mesmerised with Krishna’s persona and deeds can be seen singing and dancing in the name of Krishna to eternity on the day of Janamashtami. It is the deep faith and devotion of people towards him that the festival is still celebrated with a great honor, joy as well as elation as it was celebrated thousands of years back.
In his preaching to Arjuna in the Holy Bhagvad Gita he says ‘Whenever the balance of the universe is disturbed by external interference from any of its parts, then I reveal myself as the Power of eternal balancing. For the protection of those who are in harmony, and the rectification of everything disharmonious, I incarnate myself at every juncture of time.’ So, it is assumed that the form of God will return back on earth for the establishment of peace, religion and prosperity in society once again when required. The celebration of Janamashtami is also a way to commemorate his holy deeds on earth for the mankind.
In Today environment mankind badly feel need of birth of lord as all around us lot of negative energy exits through crime, corruption, terrorism, adulteration, diseases’, disbelief which as per I believe it’s not possible by any human to get rid on other then Lord, So hopefully on his birthday Lord Krishna will shower his blessings on to every India.

Dr. Manmohan’s second innings

Doctor Manmohan Singh is only second Prime Minister after Pandit Jawaharlal Lal Nehru in the history of India when a national party ( Indian National Congress ) in the general election 2009 declared there next Prime Minster would be Doctor Manmohan Singh who was Prime Minister of India and completed it’s term in office full time with unexpected result of general election 2009 plus Indian National Congress improved number of seats in Loksabha from 145 to 206 and to form government it needed only 66 members more which was not possible comparing to the figure it had last time members 145 thus it give Indian public hope of better ,effective and satisfying governance for next five years, but Indian National Congress who led United Progressive Alliance (U.P.A.) and it was supported by other regional parties before election but after victory when time come to form Government and distribute portfolio’s U.P.A.’s one partner from south D.M.K. start demanding choice of there ministries which make blur picture on the mind of Indian public that if they will be able to run government smoothly and for full time but in the end Indian National Congress able to satisfied and agreed D.M.K. to join U.P.A. but perhaps it was hints that coming time of Dr. Manmohan Singh will be full turbulence's’ from all the front like economy, natural, man made and after distributing charge of different ministries to deserving and efficient members and government set task for coming first hundred days. it’s only third month is in progress since Dr.Manmohan has taken charge for second time and till date below coded are problems which are playing major role as obstacles in the smooth rule which might get more worsen shape days to come for India also –
• Attacks on Indian Student---From India usually every year in thousands number Indian students goes to Australia for study through different Universities in different part of Australia and there students allowed by authorities to do work also but part time for some hours in a week and after study if they get job then they allowed to stay there permanently, thus all this make Australia a attractive destination from past few years to Indian students, but this year from May month onwards Australia become hell to study and live by Indian especially students in Melbourne where one by one till date attacks on Indian students cross the numbers more then twenties and attacks are continuously happening without any end on Indian students despite assurances’ by Australian Prime Minister Mr. Kevin Rudd that Indian are safe here, Australia is Multicultural country, Australia is not a racist country, criminals will be bring to justice but everything above proves merely words as Indian External Minister Mr.S.M.Krishna visit to Australia to calm down situation and bring back belief of Indian students that they are safe in Australia prove failure as despite his presence some attacks still took place which make mockery of Australian government efforts and Indian Government pressure on to Australian Government for safety of their students who have gone there after spending lot of money and then doing hard work not only on to study but also in their working place where ever they work.Don't know if Indian Government will be silent as before towards these attacks or they have some plan to successfully end these attacks.
• This year one of the deadly flu which make worry World Health Organisation (W.H.O.) when it outbreak in Mexico by name H1N1 better known as swine flu. It was so strong and powerful that in the beginning it was not taken seriously to isolate area and patient’s where it outbreak they allowed to roam and travel freely and virus which was initially spreading from swine ( pig) gradually become so powerful that W.H.O. declare swine flu as epidemic and world health organisation declare it unstoppable virus which now spreading from human to human, despite all this Indian government not taken any strong steps to stop this virus to entered India by making checking centre at airport itself and if any person find victim of this flu then he or she should not be allowed to reach it’s destination before he healthy again and H1N1 infected patient isolated to stop him/her spreading virus and result is that in India 10 deaths announced so far from swine flu and lot of patient are under treatment and some are in critical conditions and pune city of Maharashtra state is worst effective and administration has close down educational institutions, malls and cinema on Mexico pattern but how much it can be effective ? We have to wait and watch but there is no doubt that this virus is slowly slowly spreading throughout India and how much it will make causalities God knows.
• This year rainy season passed through heavy deficient of rain throughout India and now state governments are coming with announcement and almost all the states declaration is pessimist as far rain is concerned and not even single sate said they have sufficient rain and it’s drought like situation throughout India which will result damage to crops as Indian farmers are much more dependent on rain then ground water in harvesting and it will effect on to G.D.P. and because of shortage of food grain productions Prime Minster right now has announced that in coming days inflation will rise further.
• Inflation from more then two months period is out of control and despite negativeness in inflation index prices’ of all the essential commodities are increased almost fifty to sixty percent which make common people budget uncontrollable and it is not going to be in control in coming days and prices’ will remain high .
• Pakistani Prime Minster Mr.Gilani had given promise to Indian Prime Minster in there last meeting that he will take initiative to control terrorist organisations to use their soil for terrorist activities, but despite his promise in Pakistan terrorist organisation chief are moving freely and in past fortnight lot of infiltration bids were failed as security personnel on border in encounter kills lot of terrorists.
So a good economist prove how much effective towards problems with whom not directly related had he been in finance department but as now being Prime Minister he have to look effective ways to get rid on to these problems, we have to wait and watch.

Pehal : A Good Gesture

In Democratic set up Judiciary, Bureaucrats and Police department plays major and effective roles to sort out almost each and every problem face by common people so being democratic country Indian government officials also keep on doing efforts and looking new ways to make all these government services available at an affordable cost, effectively and amicably to countries every citizen without having fear of any pressure, bribe, bias and influence by other party.
• Considering this Punjab state has already Lok Adalat on every three months time held throughout state just to give two parties on the spot fair justice which is acceptable to both sides which certainly and drastically reduce the cost of lawyer to nil, court expenses and time also because if a case settle through court then both parties have to appear on set dates by court and on an average dates consume at least half day because nobody knows when they will get call from court and at that moment they have to be present there to attend the date .Lok Adalat anybody can get his dispute settled provided both parties have to be present on that particular date when Lok Adalat held and with proof, evidence and documents,Lok Adalat till date successfully settle countless cases’ and also able to reduce the burden of the court’s which are already heavily loaded with pending cases’ and beauty of Lok Adalat is that both parties settled there disputes without having any bad feeling against other party because it is settled with full transparency without bias .
• Common people used to face administrative difficulties often and there genuine problem keep on delaying by one reason or another without their fault and it not only take concerned time which sometime because of his responsibilities and liabilities towards his/her profession unable to get out time and thus leave concerned with stress and tension. In this regard to remove the burden, time and money front Punjab government have made schedule to held Sangat Darshan after the gap of specific time and before next Sangat Darshan officials use to announced and publicised next gathering and in Sangat Darshan also with proof and documents common people can meet officials and on that date almost every officials present there and sufferer get his dispute settle on the spot. In Sangat Darshan there is no need of any expert to handle the case of anybody but certainly need proof and documents to the officials to give fair justice on concerned grievances’.
• Based on same pattern something was badly feel and desired by common people where they get there problem sort out in minutes without any harassment or exploitation relating to Police Department and a news was published that personnel efforts and interest of Senior Superintendent of Police (S.S.P.) Mr.Pramod Bhan of Hoshiarpur District of Punjab State held first time in Hoshiarpur city and it’s three other sub divisions a public grievances’ programme related to Police Department by name Pehal in which cases/disputes related to Police department from quite long time and other were settled as on that day every officials of Hoshiarpur district Police department was present there and people were very happy that there problem was sort out that was also without any extra burden, pressure. With these type of government departments official’s gathering and efforts which make people happy because they get fair justice spontaneously and on the spot and reduce the burden to face government officials again and again which sometimes become reason of problem, so it’s a step which should be Welcome by everybody as it not only make happy to common people but also reduce stress and workload from government employees which are meant and create to help common people but load keep on adding can effect anybody’s performance and eligibility.
With these different type of gathering which are focused and beneficiary particularly for common people to get there dispute settle down without any fuss and complication plus without having fear in mind of bias and manipulation in settlement, without handing over bribe and full of transparent manner certainly make them happy and they can feel proud of government services and would love to cooperate authority with there wish, heart and happiness if required. Certainly this will make there belief on government machinery more judicious which is right now shaken badly because of corruption and bribe.

Raksha Bandhan

Today that is on 05th August in India and around the world where ever Indian community reside celebrating Raksha Bandhan festival and on that day sister’s tie Rakhi on the wrist of their brother’s and pray for long and happy life of their brother’s. In August month, on Shravan Purnima, Hindus all over celebrate Raksha Bandhan. "Raksha" means protection, "Bandhan" means bound or binding. In North India, the occasion is popularly called Raksha Bandhan or Rakhi, the tying of an amulet. On this day, sisters tie an amulet, the Rakhi, around the right wrist of their brother’s .When this festival begin? What’s the history behind this festival? Below coded some legends found in history books relating to Raksha Bandhan -
• In the Vedic period, on a 'Shravan Poornima' day (Full Moon Day of the Hindu month of Shravan), the deities and demons were fighting a battle against each other. Unfortunately the demons were in a stronger position, as compared to the deities. The king of the deities, Lord Indra, was very much worried about the result of the battle. His wife Indrani (also known as Shashikala) could not see him worried and prayed to the almighty to help her husband. Indrani was a religious lady, so she prepared a talisman with her religious power and tied it around Indra's right wrist. Indrani believed that her talisman will safeguard Indra from the attack of demons. Eventually, she proved right, as that day, the deities won the battle and Lord Indra escaped unhurt. As the talisman had the power of protecting the person who wore it, it came to be known as 'Raksha Sutra' and the ceremony of tying it was called 'Raksha Bandhan'. Since this particular act of tying the talisman took place on 'Shravan Poornima' day, it has become a tradition to celebrate 'Raksha Bandhan' on the 'Shravan Poornima' day every year. With time, the festival came to comprise of brother-sister duo, rather than husband-wife.
• According to another legend, Raksha Bandhan was a ritual followed by Lord Yama (the Lord of Death) and his sister Yamuna. Yamuna tied rakhi to Yama and bestowed immortality. Yama was so moved by the serenity of the occasion that he declared that whoever gets a rakhi tied from his sister and promised her protection will become immortal.
• According to another legend the Demon King Bali was a great devotee of Lord Vishnu. Lord Vishnu had taken up the task to guard his kingdom leaving his own abode in Vaikunth. Goddess Lakshmi wished to be with her lord back in her abode. She went to Bali disguised as a Brahmin woman to seek refuge till her husband came back. During the Shravan Purnima celebrations, Lakshmi tied the sacred thread to the King. Upon being asked she revealed who she was and why she was there. The king was touched by her goodwill for his family and her purpose and requested the Lord to accompany her. He sacrificed all he had for the Lord and his devoted wife. Thus the festival is also called Baleva that is Bali Raja's devotion to the Lord. It is said that since then it has been a tradition to invite sisters in Shravan Purnima for the thread tying ceremony or the Raksha Bandhan.
• Another incident is the one from the epic Mahabharata that concerns Krishna and Draupadi, the wife of the Pandavas. She had torn a strip of silk off her sari and tied it around Krishna's wrist to stop the flow of blood Krishna was so touched by her action that he found himself bound to her by love. He promised to repay the debt and then spent the next 25 years doing just that. Draupadi in spite of being married to 5 great warriors and being a daughter of a powerful monarch only trusted and depended wholly on Krishna.Krishna repaid the debt of love during "Vastra haran"(removing of clothes forcefully) of Draupadi. Draupadi's "Vastra Haran" was done in the assembly of King Dritrashtra, when Yudishter, her husband lost her in gamble, at that time Krishna indefinitely extended her sari, so it could not be removed, to save her pride. This is how he paid his debt towards rakhi tied to him by Draupadi.
• It is said that when Alexander invaded India in 326 B.C., his wife tied a Rakhi to the king Porus and in return, Porus promised to protect her and her husband. We also have various such examples of tying knots or threads, especially in the history of Rajputana. The most famous of them is the story of the Queen Karnavati of Chittor, who sent a Rakhi to the Mughal emperor Humayun, to save her kingdom from the invasion of Bahadur Shah of Gujarat. That particular day of Purnima was celebrated as Raksha Bandhan first in Marwar and then, all over Rajasthan. Finally, it came to celebrated all over India.
• In some places in medieval India, where women felt unsafe, they tied Rakhi round the wrists of men they could count upon, regarding them as brothers.
I have one real sister and seven cousin sister’s and when I was child all use to knot rakhi on to my wrist on Raksha Bandhan day but now as all are grown up and happily married, so now only real sister tie rakhi on every Raksha Bandhan day and this time as she moved abroad but send rakhi by post I wish her long life with world’s every happiness and health along with all the Brother’s and Sister’s who are celebrating Raksha Bandhan greet Happy and prosperous life.

India: Lesson to Learn and Teach

Time has come for Indian ruler to keep this thing in mind with clear vision that any problem faced by country whether it’s created by natural havoc or by external elements ultimately it has to be tackle by India itself and against it action could be soft or hard which should be in the best interest of the country and it’s citizens and world community will only support and criticise it. From past more then two decade’s India is badly effected by terrorism in it’s different part and everybody knows in the world that’s it’s Pakistan intelligent service I.S.I. ,Army, Government and world’s most dreaded terrorist organisation’s who have headquarter in different part of Pakistan which are creating anti India minds with terrorist camps, funds ,weapons just to make Indian territory in the eyes of world a place of unstable and unsafe to live, tour and work .In the past India keep on raising it’s voice and try to convince international community on different platform with non violence and diplomatic moves to get support and be successful in putting pressure on Pakistan to dismantle terrorism infrastructure and stop funding but unfortunately despite proof which unmask Pakistan’s involvement all the countries of the world have never support seriously infect practically they never on Indian side against war and problem of terrorism except statement’s which certainly pleased Indian electronics media but on ground nothing concrete happened so far from Pakistan end and there is no doubt will certainly never happen in future also .
Last year on 26th November,2008 now better known as 26/11 India’s financial capital Mumbai attacked by ten terrorist’s but first time in the history of terrorist attack this attack remove the hidden face of Pakistan because Indian security personnel captured one terrorist alive by name Kasab and it was believed that now lot of major countries will put pressure on Pakistan to show it’s commitments towards war against terrorism because the graph of terrorism are not drying infect on rising side because Pakistan soil are used by them without any problem till date, previously it was military rule and right now in Pakistan there is democratic elected government led by Mr.Yusuf Raza Gilani but as in the past Pakistan military ruler was always in deny mode this time also there democratic government in the denial mode from very first day of 26/11 despite India’s collected proof and pass on to them unfortunately Pakistani establishment even few months not accepted that Kasab is Pakistani, then Indian government pass on dossier ( government’s official documents / set of proves ) to Pakistan government so that they take action against criminals and lack of proof may not give chance to the criminal’s to escape free or acquitted by court, but after passing more then eight months Pakistan government is till date asking more proof and found forward very less infect whenever they are handed over anything instead of making ground to take action against criminals Pakistani official’s try to make more questions towards India and come up with demand of more proofs against named so that they can be trial in Pakistan and as per information Indian government hand over them three times dossier but Pakistan still found information inconclusive to take action against named, and after passing more then eight month’s Yesterday Indian external minister Mr.S.M.Krishna in a statement said Pakistan won’t test after passions ( Pakistan hamarey deryeh ka imtihan mat leh ) ,don’t known what’s is the limit of our patience, as this is not enough Pakistan cleverly taking India away from 26/11 terrorist attack but also trapping/indulging our ruler with there problem of Blochistan province and recently they declared that India is involve in the problem of there balochchistan province and as per there premier’s recently statement that India and Pakistan are both are victim of terrorism and we will fight terrorism jointly, shocking and ridiculous to listen this statement as Pakistan is victim of terrorism but the reality of there terrorism is they created, backed and funded which now become uncontrollable by them and India is victim of terrorism which is produce by Pakistan to unsettle India, so Indian terrorism and Pakistan terrorism cannot be visualise and treated as same.
It is quite clear that India cannot go for war with Pakistan and it may be pressure from international community which is stopping India to go for war with Pakistan or because Pakistan also has nuclear weapons that’s why India avoid to confront with Pakistan but there is no doubt it’s making Indian innocent citizen’s victim and they are the big sufferer of terrorism and at the same time we cannot keep sitting that international pressure mount on Pakistan and our ruler passing statements to make Indian calm and Pakistan keep on nurturing and infiltering terrorist’s without any obstacles into India. Well if we cannot take extreme action then I think there are lot of alternative ways to teach them lesson and as Pakistan is our neighbour and we can hit it hard with lot of alternative ways which I think some below coded can be part of these hard measures-
• Trade ---- Trade (Import and Export) with Pakistan should be ban with immediate effect, certainly our businessmen will also be effective but for checking Pakistan our citizen would also bear some financial losses.
• Airline ban----Ban on using Indian air space by Pakistani airlines and also there airlines not allowed to operate business from India and they should be asked to stop doing business from here.
• Cricket--- Cricket is a game which is as much favourite in Pakistan as in India and BCCI declare Indian cricket team won’t play here or in Pakistan or any where in the world with Pakistan and as Cricket is a game against India every country of the world love to play as India’s presence is money spinner when ever India is involved.
• High Commission-----Both countries high commissioned should be reduced drastically and visa’s clearance to Pakistan national makes toughest and High Commission staff also be cut as much as it can.
• Rail and Buses----Frequency of Rail and Buses should be minimise if not possible to end it.
• Entertainment--- There channels should be ban here totally and there films and artist should not allow being part of any programmes directly or indirectly.
I think this way we can effect rather shake there ruler and put dent on the mind of there ruler that if they keep on listening Indian ruler and public genuine problem created by them with deaf ears as in the past Indian words and diplomatic moves they are used to then India with no other option left but to ban for unlimited period economic/commerce trade with them.
