Almost Victory of Anna Hazare

Today Anna Hazare’s hunger fast entered into 12^th day, he and his team is just near to their goal, it is will power of 74 years old but young by heart Indian and his mesmerising and magneting personality which pulled country’s countless young generation towards its campaign and successfully bend the government to come with strong Lokpal bill. Hopefully his fast will ends today at any time or by large tomorrow morning depending upon Anna’s wish. Country salute to his brave son Anna Hazare……Bande Matram…..Jai Hind !

Anna Hazare Mania ( III )

     Updates on day 10^th and 11^th Till 2.00 P.M. of Anna Hazare’s hunger strike, government of India gave first time sign of sincerity towards Anna Hazare demands, and Prime Minister Doctor Manmohan Singh not only accepts his demand of debate on to Jan Lokpal Draft but also request him to end his huger strike as his life is more precious, along with leader of opposition in the house and speaker of the house; spokesperson of Congress Party of India Mr. Manish Tiwari seek apology from Anna Hazare on to his derogatory personnel remarks which he express during conflict between government and Anna Hazare begins, so now house will debate on all the drafts of Lokpal, which are –

·        Jan Lokpal draft

·        Aruna Roy Lokpal Draft

·        Loksatta Lokpal Draft

Anna Hazare in response to all these developments declare that he won’t end his fast until and unless he received anything in writing from government as he has very bitter and bad experience in recent past on to government words. One news channel reveal that two of cabinet ministers were not interested and opposing talks with Anna Hazare, Anna Hazare later on in the evening announced that he has three conditions other then discussions on to Jan Lokpal draft to break his hunger fast and they are –

·        Citizen Charters for all government officers mean time bound services’ to the public, failure of it government employees would be entitle for punishment.

·        Lower bureaucracy should also come under Lokpal ambit.

·        Lokayuktas in all the states to have same power as of Lokpal has.

Late in the evening news flash that Anna Hazare’s representatives Shanti Bhushan, Arvind Kezriwal and Kiran Bedi met senior leaders of BJP Mr. Lal krishan Advani to get BJP support on to Jan Lokpal draft and in the meeting Arun Jaitley, Sushma Swaraj and Nitin Gadkari were presents, while talking to media persons Jaitley said that they support Jan Lokpal draft but they have some differences on to there draft like inclusion of judiciary under Lokpal but they fully in favour of Prime Minister to be included under Lokpal plus in the evening Nitin Gadkari already had issued letter to the media that BJP supports Jan Lokpal bill.  

Day 11^th or 26^th August, 2011(till 2 p.m.) – Today in the early morning team Anna members met left party to get their support on to Jan Lokpal Bill, in the morning after proceedings of Loksabha begins BJP party protest and disrupt the house by saying that they won’t get notice on Jan Lokpal draft, that is why they are not ready for the debate, so it is now drag one day more for debate on Jan Lokpal bill, now discussion will held on Saturday, but ultimately in this if anybody is big sufferer then it is Anna Hazare as today is eleventh day of his fast, and his body is showing sign of weakness, hence it should be considered by political parties if they are seriously worried about his health and want Anna Hazare to end his fast then they should not do politics.

   Hopefully tomorrow parliament will debate on to Jan Lokpal bill and which will pave the way for Anna to end his fast and which will kept his words that he won’t end his hunger fast before discussions, but until and unless it does not started in the house tomorrow public as well as Anna is skeptical and it can result in further delaying to end his hunger fast.

Below is glimpse of activities happened in the country starting from day one of Anna Hazare fast till Day ninth or 24^th August,2011 –

·        Day 1 or 16^th August, 2011 – Anna Hazare at seven fifteen in the morning when getting down from lift to come on floor, police party was present there and it detained him and present him in front of judge where police get judicial custody of Anna for seven days in anticipation that his fast can create chaos as far law and order is concern in the capital, same was the case of Arvind Kezriwal and he also sent to judicial custody for seven days, from other places Shanti Bhushan and Kiran Bedi arrested but both were released in the evening, but during the progress of the day public starts gathering at the place where previously police allowed them to protest that is JP Park, and when supporters get news that Anna sent to Tihar Jail then people start gathering in front of Tihar Jail in huge numbers, in the evening administration took decision to release both Anna Hazare and Arvind Kezriwal, but both deny to accept any terms and seek place to protest without any condition, media was broadcasting minute by minutes non stop Anna Hazare developments.

·        Day 2 or 17^th August, 2011 – From Tihar Jail Anna Hazare continue his hunger protest, on that day spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravishanker met him in the Jail along with other personality like Baba Ramdev and his team. Police announced that Anna was release last night but he himself not interested to come out from jail, he and Arvind Kezriwal were adamant on the demand of fifteen day protest but without any terms and surprisingly police department taken back their terms on which ground Anna was arrested and not allowed to start his protest, like –

·        No restriction of three days protest

·        No restriction of numbers of cars park at parking place

·        No limit of gathering

From Tihar Jail Arvind ask supporters of Anna Hazare to remain peaceful and don’t destroy any private or government property.

·        Day Three or 18^th August, 2011 – It was declared that in the evening Anna can come out from Tihar Jail provided Ram Lila Ground prepared for protest, and MCD workers start doing needy work at there full capacity under the supervision of Deputy Mayor of MCD as team Anna agree that they will get initially permission of fifteen days which will be extended by authority depending upon the situation, later on the evening news came that Anna will have to remain in Tihar Jail for one more day as Ramlila ground is not ready.  

·        Day Four or 19^th August,2011 – At 11.45 Anna came out from Tihar Jail and there he address the gathering and thanks for their support also declared that youth is his sourced of energy and then he proceed to Rajghat in the shape of procession with his supporters after paying tribute to Mahatma Gandhi he reached Ramlila Maidan, news starts coming that in other part of he country public is doing protest against corruption, his movement spreads not only other parts but also Indians were vocal and protesting lot of other parts of world. Seeing this despite lose in weight he announced that in the country this revolution does not dies until and unless government won’t accept their draft and taken back their version of Lokpal Draft.

·        Day fifth or 20^th August, 2011 - First time in the history of 120 years Mumbai’s dhabawala went on one day strike in support of Anna Hazare protest, people with every passing day joining Anna in huge numbers and it surprise government of India, It is not wrong to code here that India was coloured in Anna Hazare campaign, news channels were covering minute to minute coverage round the clock, it make countless glue to their Television sets which were residing at distance from ground zero. From protest place Arvind Kezriwal announced that they are ready to talk with the government but till date they have not receive any invitation from government. 

·        Day Sixth or 21^st August,2011 -  Anna Hazare stern his stand that if Government does not pass their version of draft before 30^th august, 2011 then they will start biggest protest in the country, plus now it will not acceptable to them less then their version, how it has to be done? Government has required numbers in the parliament and it can pass it if it wish so, ask his supporters to protest in front of the houses’ of their parliamentarian and get their stand on to Lokpal draft, before night it was seen that below coded politicians houses’ were demonstrated by public –

·        Day Seven or 22^ND August, 2011 – The process of reaching peoples in big numbers at Ramlila Maidan was continue without break, and it was seen that government and congress MP’s stand soften on Anna Hazare, its biggest example was of Sanjay Nirupam who was opposing the movement seen with Anna Hazare cap, Priya Dutt said that government Lokpal bill is weak and she will talk to her party for strong Lokpal Bill. Team Anna said that although they have received fresh proposals from government but they are strong enough and expose government intention that it is not serious for strong Lokpal bill.

·        Day Eight or 23^rd August, 2011 – Team of  Doctor keep on examining Anna on regular basis and first time they announced that Anna’s health is deteriorating, and asked him to take rest and don’t come out in sun, take lot of water and in the evening after check perhaps Anna needs to take drip or need to admit to Hospital, Anna asked Doctor’s team to give him time to think on to it, and later on from stage he announced that although Doctors have requested him to take drip but my consciousness does not allow me as I before start of protest had declared that I will give my life for the country, so if government try to take me forcibly then don’t allow them to take me and block the gates of the ground, in the evening members of team were called by the government for talk and after the end of the meet while talking to media team Anna members declared that meeting was held in good atmosphere and government wants time till morning, Kiran Bedi said that talks should have been held two to three days before.

·        Day ninth or 24rth August,2011 – First time it has seen that health of Anna Hazare was deteriorated as it was visible from appearance but his enthusiasm was as  it was very first day of his hunger protest, and he is not accepting government request to break his fast as government said his life is much more important, at the same time discussion with team Anna was not reach to any acceptable point till five of Evening.

So nobody knows or sure how this stalemate between both the parties end as now coming time enters in very crucial time due to Anna Hazare’s deteriorating condition , in spite of the fact that he is 74, and from last nine days he have not taken food and not ready to break his fast until and unless he get concrete efforts from Government side.

Anna Hazare Mania

On 16^th August as declared by Anna Hazare that he will start his second hunger protest if government won’t table Jan Lokpal draft in the house during monsoon session, but before the start of parliament monsoon session government get improved their version of Lokpal draft from cabinet, thoroughly neglected Jan Lokpal draft, in spite of the fact that both version contained huge differences’ on lot of issues’, and then later on present its version in the house without civil society version or clauses’. All these developments furious Anna Hazare and his team, so from 16^th August onwards till date score of things unfold with pass of time, till date fight for final say on Lokpal draft between team Anna and government is on it appears that it is slightly tilt towards team Anna, but still they cannot claims that they are just reach the striking distance of their motive as far Jan Lokpal draft is concern. Brief profile of Team Anna Hazare members that represent as Civil Society members during dialogue phase with government to form Lokpal draft, are –

·        Anna Hazare -  Ex Army man, socialists, 74 years old, follower of Gandhi ideology, In the 1970s, Ralegaon Siddhi wasn't very different from hundreds of other villages in this arid part of Maharashtra's Ahmadnagar district. With water available only during the monsoons, its farmers could barely grow one crop a year, and 70 percent of the village's 315 families lived in abject poverty. Indeed, Ralegaon Siddhi's most distinctive feature was its 40 illicit distilleries that made the village a popular haunt for drunks and gamblers. Thefts and brawls were commonplace. Since he returned to Ralegaon Siddhi in 1975, Hazare has spearheaded a movement that has changed all this forever. Today, Ralegaon Siddhi is brisk and prosperous. He protests for Right to Information Act.

·        Arvind Kezeriwal - Arvind Kejriwal was born in Hissar, Haryana  in the year 1968, graduated from IIT Kharagpur as a Mechanical engineer in 1989. Later, he joined the Indian Revenue Service (IRS), a part of the Indian Civil Services in 1992, and was posted at the Income-tax Commissioner's Office in Delhi, social activist and crusader for greater transparency in Government, awarded Ramon Magsaysay Award for emergent leadership in 2006, for activating India's Right to Information movement at grassroots and social activities to empower the poorest citizens to fight corruption by holding the government answerable to the people, in February 2006, he resigned from the job, to work full-time at 'Parivartan', he campaigned for the Right to Information Act, which soon became a silent social movement.

·        Shanti Bhushan - born on 11 November 1925, senior advocate, Law Minister of India from 1977 to 1979 in the Morarji Desai Ministry, he was co president of Lokpal draft committee.

·        Prashant Bhushan - born on 1956, lawyer by profession, son of Shanti Bhushan, activist who always tries to help people by judiciary system. In his carrer of 15 years he has worked on around 500 PIL’s (Pubic interest Litigation).

·        Santosh Hegde - Born on 16 June, 1940, at Nitte Village of Karkala Taluk, Dakshina Kannada District, did his law degree from Government Law College, Bangalore, after completing his graduation in law, he joined the bar in January 1966. Santosh Hegde was appointed as the Advocate General of Karnataka in February 1984 to 1988. After retirement from the Supreme Court in June 2005, Justice Hegde was appointed as Chairperson, Telecom Disputes Settlement Appellate Tribunal, New Delhi on July 6, 2005 till 2^nd August 2006. Justice Santosh Hegde was appointed as Lokayukta of Karnataka State from 3 August 2006 for a 5 year term and recently retired from the post.

Cricket Crazy

In the world of cricket, despite BCCI(Board of Control for Cricket in India) is one of the member of International Cricket Council(ICC), but due to its monetary power everybody in the world of cricket accept that BCCI has dominance over ICC. Question rises here why BCCI is the richest board? Its answer is that in India Cricket is only sport which has fan following of all the categories in the country whether they are boy or girl, student or professional, young or old age, men or women, that is why in India there is always competition among sports channels to get the rights of tournaments India team played home or away, and in returns channels gets massive advertisement bookings from companies and companies not only spend money on advertisement during tournaments but also have made lot of cricketers as brand ambassador as public is crazy for cricketers, other then sports channels news channels also covers cricket events extensively before and after game, all this make pouring of money on to everybody attached with Indian cricket tournaments, but cricket administrators does not consider cricketers as human beings that’s why they are keep on playing with same set of players until and unless they are not injured, and it has seen in recent times that during series score of players have to skip from the games in this regards we can take name of players like Ashish Nehra, Virendar Sehwag, Zaheer Khan and Gautam Gambhir, so considering this that cricket is only sport for Indians they are crazy , hence BCCI should make contract with at least double the numbers of playing eleven and then keep on giving rest to players after three to four series on rotation basis, it will help players to remain fit and stretch their cricket career bit long, even we often listen the voices’ of players that they are tired or to much cricket is happening, but board calm them that if they feel it like this then they can tell the board, they have not any pressure on to them, but everybody knows once any player skip any series on the name of fatigue or tiredness then it will be tough him to return back in the team, so if along with playing eleven strong reserve bench created by contracting on yearly basis with thirty to forty players then it will not give feel of insecurity to any player.

     How much Indian cricket team is playing cricket? In this year from February month onwards Indian cricket team is playing series or tournaments after the gap of just week. India hosted cricket world cup along with other asian countries in the month of February, then after gap of week all the cricketers were busy in the IPL tournament, then after the gap of just week they played one day and test series in the West Indies against West Indies and from there now they are playing four test match series in England, all these series or tournaments Indian cricket team is playing continuous for almost six months now, and coming time they have same hectic schedule, but it is effecting on to their performances and its results is visible that India is doing very bad in England, whose glimpse is below coded - 

• First test : - India and England played 2000 Test Match at Lords on 21^st July to 25^th July, and media hype the test match as Sachin will hit 100^th ton which will be record in the history of test cricket, India won the toss and opted to filed first, England declared their first innings while playing 131.4 overs and scored 474 runs and lost eight wickets, for England piling massive scores KP Pietersen was the main players who was unbeaten at 202, but Indian cricket team all out in their first innings at 286, England declared their second innings at 269 for the lose of six wickets and set target to India of 458 runs in their second innings but Indian team collapsed in their second innings also and all out for 261 runs hence England won first test by 196 runs and took lead of 1-0, KP Pietersen declared Man of the Match.
• Second Test  : - Second Test between England and India played on 29^th July to 1^st August at trent Bridge, Nottingham, again India won the toss and choose to field, England all out in their first innings in 68.4 overs and scored 221 runs, in reply India made 288 runs and took lead of 67 runs but England in their second innings scored mountain of scores for India to climb if they want to win, Indian batsmen perform pathetically and bundled out for only 158 runs in 47.4 overs, thus England get 2-0 lead, SCJ Broad declared man of the match.
• Third Test :- Third test match played between both the team on 10^th August to 13^th August at Edgbaston, Birmingham, in this test match England won the toss and choose to field, India all out at 224 runs after facing 62.2 overs, in reply England declared their first innings at 710 for the lose of 7 wickets, AN Cook scored 294 runs, Indian cricket team again bundled out for only 244 runs in their second innings, England won the match with an innings and 242 runs, and took the lead in the series 3-0
• Fourth Test :- under progress but it’s the same similar story as of previous three test matches and India is at the doorsteps of defeat.     

So it is the responsibilities of administrators to consider cricketers as human beings and try to give them some rest after few series, so that it won’t affect Indian cricket team performance and players won’t skip during series due to injury and fan cannot upset because of pathetic performance of cricketers. 

Right to Service Act

     In the country for general public to get their work done from government departments in stipulated time is not easy task as government officers’ keep on dragging it by one reason or another and asked them to come on next time without bothering if it is possible for them to collect on specific dates, ironically all the basic services comes under the domain of government departments, hence peoples choose another ways to get their work done and money is one of major alternative way adopted by peoples, thus score of time their work done on the spot or even off time also. Thanks to the election year in Punjab state that state government is implementing public friendly schemes, in the state speculation was in the air from past few months that government will soon introduce Right to Service Act in the state and under ambit of bill all the basic services’ will include like ration card, passport office, municipal committee etc. etc and it is the hard fact that public face lot of harassment in the government departments, so It is good news for the residents of Punjab state that government has force the right to service act in the state and now government’s forty six services’ are entitle to give public time bound services’ other wise concerned department will be entitle for monetary fine.

     On fifteenth August,2011 which is day of India’s Independence, in Punjab state right to information act comes into force, although notification for right to information act was issued by state government some times back. As far information available state government has included forty six services’ to give time bound services’ to the public, once anybody approach any department and failure of it to give services’ within mentioned time then they are entitle for monetary fine from five hundred rupees to five thousand rupees. Punjab state’s deputy Chief Minister is very excited on the bill as it will reduce huge burdens from the minds of public. The services covered under the Act include certified copies of all documents at Village-level- record of land rights (Jamabandi), girdawri, mutation, demarcation of land, sanction of water supply/sewerage connection, certified copies of Birth/Death Certificates, registration certificate of vehicles, fitness certificate for commercial vehicle, issue of driving licence and renewal of arms licence, among others. To give time bound services’ to the public right to service commission will be constitute and mean time chief secretary of state SC Aggarwal will be in charge of this act. The first appellate authority would be the DSP or in-charge of Community Policing Suwidha Centre at the concerned police sub-division while the SSP or Officer In charge of Community Policing Resource Centre of the concerned police district would be the second appellate authority. Any body can appeal to commission if they won’t get service within time frame. Recently SC Aggarwal had meeting with the Deputy Commissioners of all the districts and asked them to forward suggestion in writing so that act can implement in the state effectively. As per words of SC Aggarwal bill is comes into force and anybody can lodge complaint to the commission.

     Now peoples of the Punjab state will get their basic services’ done within time frame as failure of any government department is entitle for monetary fine. 

Anna Hazare Tornado

Anna Hazare’s fast unto death in the month of April this year succeed to bend Government of India and it agree to constitute committee to form draft for Lokpal bill and later on it will be present in the parliament for next level of formalities to pass the bill as per our constitution, but after seven meetings despite differences on score of issues’ it was certain that either two draft will be tabled in the house or one draft will present in the house along with two clauses where both have differences’, but at the time of getting nod of cabinet government accepted only their version of Lokpal draft and rejected civil society draft and later on during monsoon session it table in the house. These whole developments make civil society members furious and Anna Hazare declared from 16^th August onwards he will start his protest against corruption and he and his team also burn copies of Government Lokpal bill on the day it was presented in the house but along with it clarify that their protest is not against parliament but it is against government and they have full respect for parliament, they keep on presenting their next moves through media that day onwards and also getting government response same way. Before week start of his second protest Anna Hazare and his team seek one of places from below mentioned five places’ –

• Rajghat
• Boat Club
• Raisina Hill(Ashoka Road Strech
• Ramlila Maidan
• Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park

but authority rejected it and allowed other places for protest but with terms, and later on offer JP Park for protest which was accepted by team Anna Hazare, but later on Delhi Police adds twenty to terms and asked them to submit affidavit that they have accepted twenty two terms but rejecting any single terms then they wont allowed JP Park for protest, team Anna was ready to give affidavit along with acceptance of sixteen terms, main points which were not acceptable to them were –

·        Protest period will not more then three days

·        Not more then five thousand peoples will be gathered in the park

·        Not more then fifty cars will be allowed at parking place

Team Anna said that we cannot give you guarantee of above coded but it will be certainly on to the parameter of constitution, like –

·        Their protest will be on the motto of non violence

·        They or their supporters will not destroy government property

·        They will protest peacefully

·        They will be without any arms

Delhi police declared that if team Anna wants any place for protest then they have to submit affidavit in support of twenty two terms other wise they won’t allow to protest. Then Anna Hazare write letter to PM to intervene and allow them to get place for protest, but PM reply that do contact with concerned authority as he cannot do anything in this regards. Till Saturday evening there was confusion in the air and nobody was sure where Anna will do his protest on sixteenth of August, and to get nod through Apex court it was not possible due to holidays. Then on the eve of 15^th August at 4 p.m. Anna silently went to the Rajghat which is smadhi sathal of Mahatma Gandhi and was there till quarter to seven, but during his stay police personnels, public and media were presents in huge numbers and nobody was sure what will happen next, but as Anna had to address the media at seven fifteen to announce his next action, so there he announce that peoples of the country switch off their lights at eight in the night till nine of night in support of anti corruption movement, and also join him in heavy numbers from tomorrow onwards considering it their national duty. He will start his protest from JP Park which was previously allowed to him by police but later on they adds terms and despite section 144 was imposed around the areas, so that Anna and his supporters won’t start their protest, it wont stop them, On sixteenth August at seven fifteen when Anna was getting down from lift he was arrested and police took him in their custody plus his other team members were arrested from other places, non stop media coverage on to his protest and support from different part of the country in huge numbers make other activities and news dwarf in the country. So coming time will unfold who have final say team Anna or Government as right now both are stick on to their respective stands, it has seen that government of India tone is now soft towards Anna Hazare.

Happy Independence Day

                     Today India is sixty four years old since independence and celebrating sixty fifth Independence Day, thanks to the freedom fighters, revolutionaries and martyrs that we are breathing in the environment of Independent India as because of them that we got independence on 15^th August, 1947. Now, it is the responsibilities of every Indians whether he/she is common people of this country or politicians or businessmen or celebrities to respect the constitution and deliver their duties and liabilities seriously and sincerely so that where ever Indians live and roam they can proudly declare that they are Indians, as simply paying homage on one day to them is not true respect to their sacrifices. Happy Raksha Bandan Day

Today across globe where ever Indians reside they are celebrating festival of Raksha Bandan. On this day sisters tie the thread on the arms of their brothers and brothers on that day vow to take care of their sisters at the time of difficulties. Festival is celebrated by Indians from centuries and when and how it is started? What is legend behind the festival? Nobody can pin point exactly when Raksha Bandan started but everybody claims that their story is starting point rest are following of their stories, so without involving in the net of confusion and controversies I wish every brothers and sisters of this world Happy Raksha Bandan Day.

Lokpal & Corruption

Anna Hazare protesting against corruption by government servants from April month onwards and to get rid on to the corruption cancer, his team is in favour of strong Lokpal Bill and if we go through the news of just fortnight back of print media then we will find news of corruption at different levels by our government servants becomes headlines after two days on an average which is shocking, so in this scenario it is important and need of the hour to have such a bill which can put tainted persons behind bars, other wise peoples will keep on suffering from these corrupt minds and these corrupt minds will keep on hollowing the financial roots of government coffer, so we can say that Anna is representing the voice of general public which are reeling in the grinder of corruption badly from decades now, but again it is the tragedy that government has oversighted draft of civil society and not only has superseded its Lokpal draft version but also it was tabled and pass by parliament which has not power to take stern action against tainted persons. Below are few stories which hit newspapers recently and self explanatory in nature that how much badly India needs a strong Lokpal bill –

• Paramjit Sandhu I.G.(Internal Vigilance Cell of Punjab Police) was arrested by CBI’s anti corruption cell for taking bribe of fifty thousand rupees, it is worth mentioning here that CBI had arrested him in the year 2007 in connection with Moga sex scandal, he was remained in the CBI custody for two days, and Sandhu was on bail in that case.
• PowerCom Mehatpur SDO was accused of bribe of five thousand rupees to change the transformer and it is claimed by complainant that while handing over money video was made.
• On 22^nd July Vigilance department arrested Punjab National Bank, Khanna’s Chief Manager Ram Niwas Malik on account of demanding fifty thousand rupees as bribe.
• DSP Mohali Raca Gera was arrested by CBI at the time of taking bribe of one lakh Rupees and when her house was raided authorities found cash worth 11 million rupees, documents of fixed deposit worth lakhs of rupees, gold, wine, AK47 rifles and seven hundred and fifty live cartridges.
• Punjab Vigilance Bureau has file charge sheet against former IAS Officer Swaran Singh and three others on account of discrepancies in the twenty million rupees fund of Shaeed Bhagat Singh birth century ceremonies in the year 2008.
• Vigilance Department on 1^st August arrested Randhir Singh Uppal taking bribe of fifty thousand rupees. Person of Naya Nangal accused his tenant for selling his shop after making false documents. Uppal was in charge of this case, he demanded two lakhs rupees from complainant but it was fix at fifty thousand rupees.
• Vigilance Deparment Barnala arrested Patwari Bhim Sen for taking bribe of fifteen thousand rupees, Bhim Sen had demanded thirty five thousand rupees for adjustment of turn of nehar water but it was fixed at thirty thousand rupees and complainant hand over fifteen thousand to Bhim Sen when he was arrested.
• On 2^nd August Punjab State Warehouse Corporation Inspector Surendar Pal Singh was arrested by Vigilance department team when he had taken rupees ten thousand from agent for issuing eighty five thousand rupees cheque.

If Anna Hazare is against Government Lokpal draft then he is not wrong because if strong Lokpal bill comes into force then government servants will be entitle for recovery of money and strong punishment then it will be lesson for government officials to do their duties honestly otherwise they are entitle for harsh sentence. Team Anna Hazare is going to start second agitation from 16^th August onwards and this time Anna team has announced that without getting anything in writing from government they won’t accept government words.

Lokpal Bill & Anna Hazare

  In the month of April social activists Anna Hazare sat on fast unto death in protest against wide spread corruption in the country and demanded for Jan Lokpal Bill in place of Government Lokpal Bill as he think Government Lokpal Bill has no teeth, thus accepting his demands after just over four days of his protest, Government of India agreed to constitute a joint committee having five members each from government side and civil society to make a amicable Lokpal draft, which will be ready before June 30 and then it will be presented in the monsoon session of parliament. Seven meetings held between both sides before June 30 and draft was prepared but it had seen both sides have big differences on certain issues, especially on to the formation of Lokpal, like –

• Right of Lokpal
• Ambit of Lokpal
• Power of Lokpal

all above coded combined make any set up complete in every respect and in a position to execute its liabilities and responsibilities, but draft of government Lokpal bill is mere a formality on to the name of Lokpal and contrary to this Jan Lokpal bill draft is with teeth to bite any tainted government servant at all levels without any loophole to escape, and even during meetings phase civil society members express their views that government side is not serious to implement strong Lokpal bill, hence they doubt on the sincerity of representatives of government side. After last meeting over, in a press conference of both sides it appears that they have differences on major points hence either two drafts will go in the parliament or draft will go with clauses where both side have differences’.

     Last Thursday cabinet approved government Lokpal draft and rejected civil society Lokpal draft, it sends shocking signals among all the section of society whoever was following Lokpal draft, and if government had to dump the civil society draft then what was the motive of seven meetings? Why Government constitute committee? Just to buy time from the Anna Hazare & countless supporters of the country to his movement. Now as government version has tabled in the parliament and passed by the house, but immediately reacting on to the approval of government Lokpal draft Anna Hazare has announced that he will start his second protest of fast unto death from 16^th August at Jantar Mantar plus same day they have burned copies of government Lokpal in the different part of the country as mark of protest. He also claimed that this time he has support of many folds then to his April month protest. Government of India also aware the power of Anna Hazare protest that is why it has impose section 144 in score of places of New Delhi. Even Union Home Minister held meeting with New Delhi Police Commissioner. Home minister deny to give permission to Anna Hazare without terms at Jantar Mantar as it asked for how many days he want to protest? How many peoples will gather at the protest place? He can protest for one day at places like Karol Bagh or Buaradi. Responding to it Anna Hazare and his team announce that they will go to the Supreme Court on Government move of not allowing them to protest. As it is the fundamental right of every citizen of this country to protest without damaging property, peacefully and without arms. So now it is certain that team Anna will proceed for fast unto death and during this time parliament session will on and probably parliament will be debating on Lokpal bill but outside parliament at some where in New Delhi Anna Hazare will be protesting and there is no doubt that he will be supported by countless countrymen. Who will have final say on to Lokpal Bill certainly time will tell? In spite of the fact that now it is not in the hands of Anna Hazare.  

Mid Day Meal

    In the country to attract kids of poor families to get education, Government of India started ‘Mid Day Meal Scheme’ across country in the government primary and middle schools almost decade ago. In most of cases poor families kids skip to get education due to their family financial requirements because if they attend schools then it can put effect on their financial set up as two hands lessen in the contribution. From its side government started the scheme for the welfare of kids of poor section of society but the way food is prepared and raw material goes making the meal, often shocking story published in the newspapers is enough to shake anybody, as in score of cases it had seen that prepared food contains insects, lizards, fungus or even in some cases snakes. Endorsing on to the chaos of Mid Day Meal in its report in the year 2009 Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India has coded that due to lack of correct measures in implementing Mid Day Meal, it is failed in almost country’s every state, and wherever it is continue it is not best in any form, as below coded are reports publish in newspaper in recent time related to Mid Day Meal which were neither from good eatable stuff nor prepared stuff was eatable by Human Beings-

• One of the school in Bihar students deny to accept Mid Day Meal because of stench from prepared food and students protest for transfer of school Principal.
• One of school in  West Bengal in the Mid Day Meal they cook snake along with rice which were made for kids, snake was not poisonous that is why kids were ill after eating the rice otherwise it can be horrifying condition.
• One of the primary school in New Delhi it was found live insects in the material of pulses and rice during inspection.
• Food stuff sent by ISKON food relief foundation Mirzapur of Thanesar, Haryana to government schools, after eating food stuff physical condition of forty seven students were deteriorated, as it was found that there was lizard in the food items ,immediately taking action on to the situation concerned school send alert to other schools not to eat the food items, but kids who ate it become sick.
• One of the school in Sirsa, fungus case comes to limelight in the Mid Day Meal, students were not ready to accept it,plus they complaint of it to the sarpanch of village. As per words of sarpanch it was due to storing the material in the dark room. Shockingly same school’s one of the Mid Day Meal beneficiary kid reveal that they were getting from the school stench meal and he often skip to eat it.
• In kurkshetra area of Haryana Mid Day Meal send by ISKON forty one students fell ill, taking action on to the situation ADC of Kurkshetra said now students will be served food only after it is eaten by the teachers.

Mid day Meal is prepared by the students and teachers,  and it is found that in score of cases there is not hygienic kitchen rooms and during preparations of  Mid Day Meal it is not prepared with care, hence anything falls in the food stuff it also cook, so it the responsibility of government to instruct all the government schools to prepare eatable, hygienic, stench less food, other wise it is just wastage of money on to the name of Mid Day Meal.
