Worst Cricket Tour


Since end of West Indies tour of Indian Cricket team this year in the month of 10th July, 2011, Indian cricket team was riding on the horses’ of success in all the three versions of Cricket and these are Test Cricket, One Day Cricket and T20 of ICC, from 19th February to 2nd April 2011 India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh jointly hosted the ODI World Cup and India won the tournament, then all the players of Indian cricket team were busy in IPL IV, after the gap of one week and completion of IPL IV Team India flew to West Indies, but as Indian team landed on the soil of England it faces all type of problems which were not only related to the game of cricket but also off the filed whether it was injuries or personnel remarks by commentators or former British players. List of injured players were stretching with progress of Indian cricket team tour and now just only one game left of Indian tour which is last ODI and it is schedule to held on 16th September,2011 and players like – Zaheer Khan, Gautam Gambhir, Harbhajan Singh, Yuvraj Singh, Virendar Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar are in the list of injured players, plus along with it Indians not only appeared pathetic on grounds in all the departments of games but also at receiving  end of personnel comments like –
·        Michael Vaughan tweets when hot spot unable to show the contact between bat and bowl delivery faced by VVS Laxman but sneak meter was showing noise when ball pass the bat but it can be also due to bat hit the pad or hit the ground, then Michael Vaughan tweets that hotspot unable to show the contact because VVS Laxman had Vaseline on to his bat, but it was deny by bowler itself and he declared that he have not found anything suspicious on to bat.
·        Than one newspaper publish picture of Virendar Sehwag, blaming him and Rahul Dravid that both were involved in tempering the ball.
·        One of commentator of Indian origin, former England cricket player now turns commentator Nasir Hussian called Indian players donkey when they were on the field. 
Indian not only lost 0-4 test matches but also lost one of T20 match and under progress 5 one day match series, till time four matches have been played and Indians are down in the series 0-2, last match will be played between both the teams on 16th of September. Brief glimpse of all the matches of tour are –
Test Matches –
  1. 21st July to 25th July, 2011 – played at Lord’s London, India won the toss elected to filed, England First innings – 474 for 8 declared; India first innings – 286 all out; England second innings – 269 for 6 declared; India second innings – 261 all out. England won the match by 196 runs, KP Pieterson declared man of the match.
  2. 29th July to 01st August,2011- played at Trent Bridge, Nottingham, India won the toss and elected to filed first, England first innings – 221 all out, India first innings – 288 all out; England second innings – 544 all out, India second innings – 158 all out; England won by 319 runs, and took lead of 2-0; SCJ Broad declared man of the match.
  3. 10th August to 13th August,2011 – played at Edgbaston, Birmingham, England won the toss and opted to field first, India first innings -224 all out, England first innings – 710 for 7 declared, India second innings – 244 all out, England won the match by an innings and 242 runs, and took the lead 3-0, AN Cook England declared man of the match.
  4. 18th August to 22nd August,2011 – played at Kennington Oval, London, England won the toss and elected to bat first, England first innings – 591 for 6 declared, India first innings – 300 all out, India second innings – 283 all out,England won by an innings and 8 runns, IR Bell declared man of the match, England won the series 4-0.
Indian cricket team was before the start of test match series at top of ICC test match ranking but after the end of test match series they were slip to number three ahead of India are number one England, Number two is South Africa.
T-20 –
Only One Match – played on 31st August,2011 at Old Trafford, Manchester, India won the toss and opted to bat first, India  were all out at 165 runs in 19.4 overs, England made 169 for the loss of 4 wickets in 19.3 overs. JW Dernbach England declared man of the match, England won the match by 6 wickets while three balls remaining.
ODI Series
  1. 3rd September,2011 – played at Riverside Ground, Chester-le-Street, England won the toss and opted to bat first, England made 274 for 7 in 50 overs, India made 27 for 2 in 7.2 overs, match abandon due to rain, no result, series stand for 0-0
  2. 6th September,2011 – played at Rose Bowl, Southampton, England won the toss and opted to field first, India made 187 for 8 in 23 overs, England made 188 for 3 in 22.1 overs, England won the match by 7 wickets and 5 balls remaining. AN Cook declared man of the match. England took lead of 1-0.
  3. 9th September,2011 – played at kennington, Oval, England won the toss and choose to field first, India made 234 for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 50 overs, England made 218 for the loss of 7 wickets in 41.5 overs, England led the 5 match series 2-0. RA Jadeja declared man of the match.
  4. 11th September,2011 – played at lord’s London, England won the toss and elected to filed first, India made 280 for the loss of 5 wickets in 50 overs, England made 270 for the loss of 8 wickets in 48.5 overs, match stopped due to rain, and match declared tied on D/L method, RS Bhopra England and SK Raina India declared men of the match, England ahead 2-0 in the five match series.
  5. 16th Septmeber,2011 – Yet to played.
England tour of Indian cricket team is one of the worst tour in recent times and till date all the official games of all the versions of cricket India is on losing side, players looks on the field directionless, clueless and without any strategy. BCCI hints that it will assess the poor and pathetic performance of the team after the end of tour, so folks be ready for the news of sack of newly appointed coach Duncan Fletcher after the end of world cup Gary Kerstin left Indian cricket team.
