Election Chess Roll Out in Five States

On 24^th December,2011 Chief Election Commissioner S.Y.Quarshi declared dates for Elections in five states –

·        Goa – 3^rd March,2012( Single Phase)

·        Manipur – 28^th January,2012( Single Phase)

·        Punjab – 30^th January,2012( Single Phase)

·        Uttar Pradesh – 4^th,8^th,11^th,15^th,19^th,23^rd, 28^th February,2012( Seven Phase)

·        UttraKhand – 30^th January,2012( Single Phase)

tenure of these State Assemblies were going to expire on –

·        Goa – 14^th June,2012

·        Manipur – 15^th Mrach,2012

·        Punjab – 14^th March,2012

·        Uutra Pradesh – 20^th May,2012

·        UttraKhand – 12^th March,2012

Election code of conduct comes into force in all the five states with immediate effect on the day Chief Election Commissioner announced the dates, so month of January, February and March up to 4^th will be in election colour of these states, being citizen of democratic country it’s the liabilities and responsibilities of all the eligible votes to use their fundamental right and give their verdict to deserving candidates or political parties or alliance.
