Election Chess Roll Out in Five States


On 24th December,2011 Chief Election Commissioner S.Y.Quarshi declared dates for Elections in five states –
·        Goa – 3rd March,2012( Single Phase)
·        Manipur – 28th January,2012( Single Phase)
·        Punjab – 30th January,2012( Single Phase)
·        Uttar Pradesh – 4th,8th,11th,15th,19th,23rd, 28th February,2012( Seven Phase)
·        UttraKhand – 30th January,2012( Single Phase)
tenure of these State Assemblies were going to expire on –
·        Goa – 14th June,2012
·        Manipur – 15th Mrach,2012
·        Punjab – 14th March,2012
·        Uutra Pradesh – 20th May,2012
·        UttraKhand – 12th March,2012
Number of Assembly seats of these election bound states –

Election code of conduct comes into force in all the five states with immediate effect on the day Chief Election Commissioner announced the dates, so month of January, February and March up to 4th will be in election colour of these states, being citizen of democratic country it’s the liabilities and responsibilities of all the eligible votes to use their fundamental right and give their verdict to deserving candidates or political parties or alliance.
