Final Picture of Five States Assembly Elections


   6th March, 2012 is the day when five states assembly elections schedule to declare. Although voting held in Mainpur, Punjab and Uttrakhand on 28,30 and 30 January respectively and in Goa on 3rd March along with seventh and last phase of Uttar Pradesh assembly, so it was the reason that counting of votes in all the assemblies hold on 6th March in spite of the fact that it was maximum of 35 days gap of counting of votes after voting but its simple and straight forward answer is that it was due to that result of any state may not effect on to the polls of other state which follow next. As per opinion polls which were based on samples collected from constituencies few pockets and its calculation, which was keep on changing with every opinion polls. Partywise position of all the five states in the 2007 Assembly Elections which goes into polls 2012,were –

MPP – 0 seat (leading 1)
Naga Peoples Front – 3 seats won(leading 1)

Surprising results came from- 
  •  Punjab State- It was trend that Indian National Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal govern the state for only one term one by one after every elections , but this time in the 46 years of Punjab States’ history SAD/BJP Alliance comes to power for second term. 
  •  Uttar Pradesh -Samajwadi party emerges as single largest party and going to form government at its own, leavening far behind other main parties of national and state level stature. 
  •  Manipur- Indian National Congress comes to power for third consecutive time.
