India and Cricket

Hockey is India’s national Sport, but every passing days from some years Hockey lost its shine, interest and hold from the mind of Indians. There are lot of reason of it & to name few is Indian Hockey’s desperate poor performance at International big events like Asian Games, Olampics Games (Even in year 2008 Olympics Games which held in Beijing, China Indian Hockey unable to Qualify and it’s the first time in the history of Olympics that Indian Hockey was our rather unable to Qualify), its resultant India’s ranking at world level going downwards, second India is leg behind to catch up fast technique of western world. It take Indians fan to look other sports to see its team competitive and won events at international level, and India’s Victory in the world cup of cricket in 1983 which was hard to believe that any team can beat (at that time Invincible in Cricket) West Indies, India become crazy for Cricket and its popularity keep on rising and today without any doubt India become of Hub of Cricket in terms of Money, Tournaments and league.
ICC ( International Cricket Council ) governing body of Cricket in the world previously it was based in London but some years back it move its headquarter to Dubai , it make rule and regulation & keep vigil eyes through its official so that every match played in good spirit. Right now below coded countries are permanent members of Cricket Sports and affiliated to ICC :-

And make itinerary of series between each country for coming years up to ten years and every country’s respective boards is bound / liability to play the series without any excuse if they cancel series then visiting country has to face huge financial penalty but yes political environment of the country count very much and players/team security get top priority and Pakistan is victim of this because lot of series either was delayed ( recently one day world cup was delayed for one years as lot of countries plus there players were not interested to play tournament in Pakistan ) or cancel simply because of there security reason, and Pakistan losses lot of money because of delayed or cancel series, now they (Pakistan Cricket Board ) are planning to host any coming series in Dubai not in there country ,so that they stand for there commitment with ICC and not lost Revenue.
Cricket Game is played between two countries under three different category, they are

Test Match
Test Match is a game which is spread over five days, and every team has to play two times. In a day bowling team has to Bowl 90 Overs minimum in the time span of six hours and there are some pauses in a day play like every hours there is drink break, then there is lunch break ,tea break, and if fielding side team deliver slow bowling rate then they fine at the end of match. Players have to play the game in white dress. If Batting side first batting make lot of run, and if fielding side make small score (less then 200 runs score by other team ) then fielding captain has option to impose follow on, and if then again batting make less run made by first batting side then they lost with an inning. There are two umpire on the field who conduct the game under rules make by the ICC,Both umpire from neuter Countries means from other countries which is not playing, one third umpire, and one match referee ,who is judicator of fair game and if found any players guilty of misbehave or crossing the line of law, then he within law/rule set by ICC pass on his verdict. One day International
Second type of series played between two countries is One day International and it was very much popular after India’s victory on West Indies in the years 1983 at Lords. Host country allowed to have one umpire from there country and one from neuter country, third umpire and match referee appointed by ICC.Every Team has to played 50 overs ( previously it was even played 60 overs and three world cup held in England was played with 60 overs ) but because in some country day light is not for enough time to deliver in a day 120 overs its reduce to 50 overs ,know it is played under light also but its still played 50 overs by a side. Players are allowed to wear colour clothes,Use white bowl,and after thirty five overs bowl changed as per the condition of used bowl .One bowler can bowl only 10 overs and fielding captain can use as many bowlers as he want barring wicket keeper.Fieding Team has to bowl fifty overs in three and half hours.If during match rain fall then if first team played its 50 overs and second team played minimum 25 overs then result declared on the basis of Duckwoth lewis Method.

Twenty 20 Match
Recently added twenty 20 game in Cricket and its inaugural ICC World Twenty 20 2007 won by India ,Its popular in India so much that it leave behind both above coded forms far behind, it has the biggest reason that its time span to complete a game is just three hours, players are allowed to wear colour clothes ,but one player can deliver only 4 overs .In very short time viewer get full entertainment .Next world cup is going to held in 2010 in West Indies.
It can just be imagine with this that how much its popular among Indians is that M/s Zee Essel Group announce of ICL of Twenty20 with young buddy and international players,and before it start even BCCI announce they will also start IPL.
