Central Government conduct a survey through Secondary Education Management Information in Punjab State, for getting information about the basic facilities in the government high schools and government senior secondary schools across state, and it was found that at large scale across state’s government schools of both levels, they are facing shortage of basic facilities like rooms, laboratories, science labs, bathrooms and maintenance. After consideration on to the survey, central government release funds of 1066.86 million rupees for government schools of Punjab state, district wise break up of funds is in alphabetic orders –
- Amritsar District – 125. 25 million rupees
- Barnala District – 36.44 million rupees
- Bhatinda District – 73 million rupees
- Faridkot District – 14.83 million rupees
- Fathegarh Sahib District – 24.21 million rupees
- Ferozpur District – 79.08 million rupees
- Gurdaspur District – 148.07 million rupees
- Hoshiapur District – 32.85 million rupees
- Jalandhar District – 99.36 million rupees
- Kapurthala District – 50.98 million rupees
- Ludhiana District – 41.18 million rupees
- Mansa District – 48.10 million rupees
- Moga District - 33.88 million rupees
- Mohali District – 25.19 million rupees
- Muktsar Sahib District – 46.18 million rupees
- Nawashehar District – 15.73 million rupees
- Patiala District – 57.75 million rupees
- Roop Nagar District – 16.89 million rupees
- Sangrur District – 35.14 million rupees
- Taran Taran District – 62.80 million rupees
