Gmail !

First Gmail account was offered by Google to 1000 persons and they were either who worked for Google or were friends or family members. They were allowed to try gmail on 21st March,2004,and from that date onwards other person allowed to test gmail.It was 25th April,2005 net user who had accounts with Bloger.com lot were allowed to add with gmail and plus they had advantage to invite 100 persons to have access of gmail after creating accounts, and Google said one day everybody have gmail account, and it give speculation that it will happen in September,2004,but Google was mull on that and not said anything on to the public date release, Google announced Email service by name Gmail on 31st March,2004 and as being first webmail service having storage capacity of 1GB at the time when other webmail service has storing capacity of mere 3MB to 6 MB and one can say it was more than 166 times from available webmail ,which make its competitors not only to increase there storing capacity but also to add more technological innovation, and till date gmail is in Beta form, Yes in the beginning when it was announced people treated as April Fool.
Gmail user have advantage to attachment with there message upto 20 MB .The most interesting rather new thing one can pin point in gmail is Conversation view, which mean user email are sorted into conversations, just to simplify all mail on one topic will be together whether its original email replied, and to put in same conversation gmail has to guess and this way it can be wrong also, but this happen very rear.
Gmail has come up with other conventional change that is of labels and an email can have more then one label. This makes it convenient for the user to look all email in one go at the same time, user can add label by himself and if he skip to activate this Google will add automatically.
On Gmail first birthday Google announced another 1 GB space for its user which make its total space to 2GB and that’s not all as with every passing time infact second its keep on adding, its adding space to its user 0.000032470826991374936580416032470827 megabytes per second,or,3.2470826991374936580416032470827 x 10 -5 Mb/s and its 1GB per year.
Technology site Slashdot at 9.23 a.m. PST on 12th Jan,2005 with detail information it was posted that Security experts found critical Flaw in the handling of gmail messages that would give access to hackers of private email from any gmail user accounts, developers come up announcement that they have fixed the problem and security problem flaw has been fixed, but being have status of Beta, for some user who have gmail as primary email account raised concern. It was 13th April of 2005 when gmail was available in several languages like British English,Dutch,French,German,Italian,Japnese, Korean,Spanish,Russian and simplified and Traditional Chinese, and it further available in four more languages on 30 June,2005 that were Danish,Finnish,polish and Swedish.

September 2005 gmail become available in 9 more languages Catalan,Czech,estonia,Hindi,Lithuanian,Romanian,Tagalog,Thai and Turksh.4th April,2006 gmail integrated with Google Calendar.28 January 2007 Google integrated Google Docs and Spreadsheets and it has capability to open Microsoft Word Doc file directly from Gmail.8th Feburary,2007 gmail registration was open to public, but remain in beta, just on 8th December,2008 Google add to do list which is quite helpful for email user because whenever its click its appear on the bottom of window .
