Adulterations’ Frightened Revelations !

With the beginning of 21st Century till today in the span of almost nine years Indian Media whether it is Electronics or Print gradually become so strong that now everywhere it has it’s presence with respect alongwith it is hard fact that everything carries with it negative and positive and as Electronics Media is now service of twenty four hours & seven days a week thus has strong impact on public and doing lot of appreciable work as it raises’ common people problems relating to any sector whether it is political, government office or any bureaucrats on priority basis which can never be done by individually effectively and successfully .
Sometimes in the atmosphere of competition these channels cross there limits and present anything in such a way that common news become sensational and it leaves very great and deep impact on to the minds of public and among these news are on top of such category is the adulteration in eatable stuff ,after hard work these channel reveal the truth but instead of awakening the government machinery to act against theses criminals it leave horrified common people as officials never ever consider hard fact to put these criminals behind bars who are making society weak and hollow with their greedy acts. Till date these channels have reveal adulterations in medicines, milk and products made from milk like curd, cheese, khoya, packed water, Desi Ghee, vegetables,Masale and it appear as if these greedy criminals are doing crime of adulteration in almost every eatable items which government machinery unable to stop them perhaps they are getting money from these greedy minded persons but with proves which channels caught on camera and unearth almost every adulterations but it leaves only common people horrified, then certainly question rises if there is any solution or we will keep on getting watching such stories without any strong actions against these criminals, well first these channels should not allow to air the programme and pass on details to governments anti corruption ministry (which should create with immediate effect )and with evidence and details ministry take immediate action against greedy persons and take them into their custody and verify the fact in days not in years and if proven correct then channel not only allow to air the programme but also show the criminals so that it get tap on their back from public and government appreciate their hard work with some rewards recommended from president, otherwise till date all their hard work is listen and watched by concerned officials with deaf ears resulting it horrified and frightened common which was certainly not channel’s purpose. For the prevention of adulteration of food-stuff laws existed in a number of States but they lacked uniformity having been passed at different times without mutual consultation between states. The need for Central legislation for the whole country in this matter had been felt in 1937 a Committee was appointed by the Central Advisory Board of Health and it advised for the Central legislation. As the “Adulteration of food-stuff and other goods” has been included in the Concurrent List of the Constitution, it became possible for the Central Government to enact an all India Legislation on this subject. Accordingly the Prevention of Food Adulteration Bill was introduced in the Parliament. Adulteration of food- stuff and other goods’ is now included in the Concurrent List (III) in the constitution of India. It has, therefore, become possible for the Central Government to enact an all India Legislation on this subject. The bill replaces all local food adulteration laws where they exist and also applies to those States where there are no local laws on the subject. Among others, it provides for -

• A Central food Laboratory to which food samples can be referred to for final opinion in disputed cases ( clause IV )

• A Central Committee for food Standards consisting of representatives of Central and State Government to advise on matters arising from the administration of Act ( clause III )

• The vesting in the Central Government of the rule-making power regarding standards of quality for the articles of food and certain other matters (clause XXII).

The Prevention of Food Adulteration Bill having been passed by both the Houses of Parliament received the assent of the President on 29h September, 1954. It came on the Statute Book as The Prevention of food adulteration act, 1954 (37 of 1954).

So as above coded clearly shows that law exist relating to adulteration in eatable food stuff now need of the time is just to handle with these criminals considering it duty and liabilities towards humanity and India but not to earn money just closing eyes of there crime.
