Indian Cricket team before the start of one day series against Australia had chance to become number ODI team by defeating Australia but it not happened because India lost the series 4-2 from Australia and slip to number three which hurt countless cricket fans, now Sri Lanka’s cricket team is in India to play three test matches, Five One day Matches and two T20 Matches and for Indian Cricket team test Matches are very important because if they beat Sri Lanka 2-0 then India will become number one test team which will be first time in the history of Indian cricket team that they will be number one but to beat Sri Lankan cricket team it’s the players who have to perform on the ground and nothing else will work like wishes, huge presence of crowd in the grounds or luck or big names it wont make any much difference to beat opposition team. Today first match started and itinerary of the three test matches are-
- 16 November, 2009 to 20 November, 2009 will start at 09.30 a.m. I.S.T. at Sardar Vallabh Patel Stadium, Ahmedabaad.
- 24 November,2009 to 28 November,2009 will start at 09.30 a.m. I.S.T. at Green Park, Kanpur
- 2 December, 2009 to 6 December, 2009 will start at 09.30 a.m. I.S.T. at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai.
Hopefully this time result of Test Match series against Sri Lanka will give Indian Cricket Team and fans to cheers and make Indian flag hoist at the top of ICC test team ranking, India has to beat team ahead of them in ranking that is Sri Lanka to climb the table as it was when Indian Cricket team played One Day series against Australia to reach the top of ranking by beating Australia at the same time to beat Sri Lanka 2-0 it wont be a easy ride for Indian as Sri Lankan Cricket team are with lot of starts who can turn the game in span of few overs. First test match begin, India won the toss and opted to bat first, but MS Dhoni’s decision to bat first appears blunder and at the time of lunch break score readings are not attractive for Indian as India were 105 for the loss of four wickets but India lost is all the four wickets in 7.4 overs at the score of 32 and players who out are Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman and at the crease are Rahul Dravid (45) and Yuvraj Singh (35).
