Tight Indian Cricket Calendar 2009

World’s cricketers always complaint of too much cricket which effect on to their performances’ and even often it leads to injuries to the players who keep on playing series after series as cricket playing nations have commitments towards the itinerary of International Cricket Council (ICC) and now a days series comprises three type of cricket which is T20,One day International and Test Matches plus if some series important, consider by the respective boards, then they also include some practice matches so that touring team players acclimatise in the playing conditions of visiting countries; two world cup held of T20 and One day International; Indian Premier League ;Champions League and county contract of some players. Depending upon the popularity some players are playing almost every match, which for a human beings is not a easy task to keep himself fit ,then either they skip some series or their injuries not allowed them to play matches’ and in this we can count the names on to our fingers of Indian cricket team who are not part of recently held series Zaheer Khan, Yuvraj Singh, Virender Sehwag, and Gautam Gambhir and to prove point correct below is Indian cricket team’s fixture of all the games they had played and some games they have to play in the year 2009 and seven to eight players are picked for the all the games –

  • December 15,18,21,24,27 India has to play five one day International Games against Sri Lanka in India.
So above coded is Indian Cricket team’s series and tournament they have played and if one focus on to the gap between series then he will be surprise as it has very few days to prepare for next series ignoring traveling and tediousness. If players are voicing of too much cricket then they are not wrong and as always they are listen with deaf ears by administrators then they end up resting for some time courtesy injuries, if administrators want to keep on getting best performances from their players series after series then they have to make contract with 30 to 35 players and then entitle different players to get chance to play in different series. This way every series will be watched by crowd enthusiastically and chances of winning series will be increase, players will get sufficient rest physically and mentally.
