Today India is celebrating its 62nd Republic Day, but if somebody goes out in the street and ask from one hundred peoples what is India’s Republic Day? Then sorry to code here that more then sixty five percent will be clueless to explain about India’s Republic day.- What is Republic Day of India?
- As on 26 January, 1950 Constitution of India came into force replacing the Government of India Act 1935 and India became a sovereign state,thus on 26 January,1950 India became a republican unit .26 January date was chosen to respect the day of Purna Swaraj or declaration of independence.
