Effective Steps or mere Formalities?

      Closing eyes & ears on to the uproar in the country of rising prices’ government spent more then five months but now feel the heat of all round voices’ of inefficiency, failure and anti public governance on to the price rise of all the basic food items of Indian kitchen, under pressure Prime Minister Doctor Manmohan Singh had meeting with the States Chief Ministers to give relief to the public from increasing prices’. On Fifth February Prime Minister presided over the meeting with the Chief Ministers of States. While announcing that worst phase of inflation is over, this may attract eyes of every citizen of this country and relief them mentally that at last government took some initiatives to control price rise but on ground level when prices’ will really come down & visible nobody can say with guarantee. Both Centre and States were blaming each others in the meeting. In this meeting Prime Minister while warning hoarders said action will be taken against them under essential food act and declared some steps to control price rise like temporary ban on exports, to increase supply of pulses ‘national pulse mission’ will start very soon and big consumers cannot store stock of sugar more then of ten days these were the highlights which comes out after the meeting but it look suspicious that they were present in the meeting to work effectively as it was seen in the meeting Centre and States Chief Ministers blaming each others especially the states which are rule by non congress parties ,instead of making concrete & effective policies on price rise collectively.
      As per Prime Minister words in the meeting responsible for creating situation of shortage of supply of food items in the country hoarders would be handle firmly along with it other reason are taxes’ at local and state level which increase the price of these items, on the issue of rising price of pulses’ Prime Minister declared that soon national pulse mission will start so that shortage of supply of pulses met across country, off take of Food grain and rice by state governments were not encouraging and on the problem of sugar price increase he said for further processing of raw sugar state governments should also help the country to come out from the crisis but he not forget to blame the woes of price rise was shortfall of rain and international price rise which widen the problem.
      Whatever Prime Minister said in the meeting it may be reason of inflation but no body can over sight the dangerous role of Union food and agriculture minister Mr. Sharad Pawar as other then his ministry or centre government no body knows the stock positions lying at the government warehouses but his irresponsible statements in the media from time to time to announce shortage of food items like sugar, pulses to milk which by mean helpful to citizens of this country and end the problem country was facing but yes certainly it encourage the lobbies of black marketers and hoarders perhaps whom he was inviting to take advantage of present situation, it give the impression that he is food and agriculture minister of handful of people whom he takes care off and give chance them to earn money. His second irresponsible move was seen yesterday in the afternoon Union Home Minster said that Australian Players will be provided full security in the tournament of IPL Season III and no party or individual will be allowed to become source of concern to them in the game but by superseding home ministry he went to the house of Shiv Sena Chief and their he request Shiv Sena chief not to object participation of Australian players, how much he is worry for the success of IPL which is one of the many sports autonomous bodies of countries and IPL is league promoted by BCCI so even it has not direct link government, one cannot deny heavy flow of money which encourage him to meet to protestors. It is better for the country if his food and agriculture minister focus on to his priority job with full responsibility then as an administrator of sport body.
      Hopefully in coming days something would be seen in the country which will give relief to the public which are grinding a lot and their budget shoot through the roofs because of food and Agriculture Minster irresponsible and scary statements of shortage of essential commodities through media in the country, else citizens of this country wait and pray to Almighty God for good monsoon this year then certainly worst phase of price will be over.
