Politicians & Moral

In our democratic set up, politicians of the country are highest honoured and respected citizen, but despite highest regards, they often work on the ideology, which left bad impression on to the common citizen of country, whether it is inside the temple of democracy (parliaments) or outside. Instead of setting standards for countrymen, citizen finds big difference between their words and actions. Politicians often try to mesmerize public with false claims, which left countrymen confuse and angry and day by day image of Politicians in the heart and minds of public is deteriorating. Even if we go through the representation in both the houses’, by different political parties, then we will surprise and shock to have data in our hands relating to members, as scores of members are with criminal backgrounds or have cases against them in court or have allegations against them, and these categories of members are not bound to any single or particular party, but unfortunately every parties have given tickets to such candidates with open heart and mind, and now they are represents the house as a member.
Whenever time comes to increase slabs of perks or salary for themselves, then regardless of party and differences, they agree and united, but at the same time when it comes for the benefits of common people or country then opposition parties disrupt the house proceedings, walk out, become aggressive and often behave in such a manners that one third of working days of house present to the suspension of the house, but members of the house should realize that parliament’s runs on the money of tax payers.
As per news some days back election commission of India had issued notice to fifteen parties of the country to furnish the expenses in fifteen loksabha election by them. Surprise to read the news because political party’s leaders want that every countryman should follow the law, but when time comes for them to execute their responsibities under law, then they treat themselves above law, the defaulter political parities, which have yet to submit their expenses detail to election commission of India, are –
  • Bhartiya Janta Party
  • Rashtriya Janta Dal
  • Janta Dal (s)
  • All India Forward Bloc
  • Arunachal Congress
  • Jammu & Kashmir National Panthers Party
  • Jharkhand Mukti Morcha
  • Manipur People's Party
  • Mizo National Front.
  • Pattali Makkal Katchi
  • Puducherry Munnetra Congress
  • Revolutionary Socialist Party
  • United Democratic Party
  • National People's Party
  • Zoram Nationalist Party
problem not only ends here that these parties have yet to submit expenses details of fifteen loksabha election but when ever they will forward the detail to election commission, they will not be hundred percent correct.
Loksabha Speaker, Meera Kumar, asked members of the house to submit the detail of their property like house, cash, bank deposit, jewellery & land, as now it is mandatory for members to submit the details of their property in ninety days after winning the election.I have written to MPs and I have reminded them. I hope they will be sending all the documents in the near future," she said when asked about what action she would contemplate on the erring members. The list of MPs who are yet to declare their assets includes names of 44 MPs from Congress, 11 from BJP, nine from JD(U), eight from BSP, seven from SP, three from Trinamool Congress and two from Telugu Desam Party. Some of the names in the list are -
  • R.P.N. Singh
  • Lalu Prasad Yadav
  • Kalyan Singh
  • Babu Lal marandi
  •  H.D.Deva gowda
  • Navjot Singh Sidhu
  • Papas Pal
  • Digvijay Singh
  • Deepender Singh Hooda
  • Rao Inderjit Singh
  • Avtar Singh Badana
  • Sanjay Singh
  • Deepa Dasmunsi
  • Ponnam Prabhakar.
It is well known that detail furnish by members to the house, not always exact picture, and there is no provision in the law the submit details should be scrutinize, plus submit detail can also become reason of question of the source of income, and politicians assets are increasing in folds not in percentage with passing year. So it will be interesting to read whenever they will submit their property details. Politicians should become role modal in their every action and should live life transparent, so that they should get respect and regards from public from heart.
