Ignoring Verdict Of Supreme Court

In the country time to time verdict by Supreme Court on matters related to public life, political system, law and order, government delivers that becomes buzz among different section of society, it has seen that every sector of society respect decision of Apex Court but sometimes political parties ignore it. In the capital of country almost every political party is running there political activities but through there allotted parliamentarian residential houses’. Considering this in one of its verdict Supreme Court in the year 2006 to vacate political parties offices’ from residential houses ordered and taking note of the Apex Court verdict cabinet same year took decision to allot land to all the political parties depending on there numbers in the house. It was practically executed in the year 2008-09 calendar year by awarding land to main political parties of the country, but ironically instead of political parties to shift their offices’ to allotted places till date even single party of the country has not construct any building and shift their office to allotted areas.
To distribute land to political parties it was considered that political parties which have recognition from Election Commission of India and have at least seven members representation in the house they will get land from Government of India, below is detail of it –
  • 15 members in the house - 500 square meters
  • 25 members in the house - 1000 square meters
  • 50 members in the house - 2000 square meters
  • 100 members in the house - One acre
  • 200 plus members in the house - Four Acre
but despite this provision some political parties cases’ are still pending and they are waiting to get land for their party offices’ in the capital –
  • Sharomani Akali Dal - 27th March,2007
  • Rashtriya Congress Party - 26th July, 2006
  • Shiv Sena - 20th September,2006
  • Bahujan Samaj Party - 10th October,2006
Contrary of it parties which get land still have to construct any building for office –
  • Indian National Congress – 7058.42 square meters at Doctor Rajender Prasad Road; 8092 square  meters at Kotla Road.
  • Bhartiya Janta Party - 7567.62 square meters at Doctor Rajender Prasad road and 1060 square meters at kotla Road.
  • CPI(M) - plot no 27, 28 and 29 at Market Road, institutional Area.
  • Janta Dal(U) - plot no. 4 at basant bihar institutional area.
  • SP - PLOT NO. 1 at basant bihar institutional area.
  • Rashtriya Janta Dal - 34, 57, 58 59 at Kotla Road.
Despite above coded the parties get allotment of land for there party offices’ at New Delhi in the year 2008-0, but they are still operating from-
  • Indian National Congress - 24, Akbar Road
  • BJP - 11, Ashoka Road
  • SP - 18, Copernicus Marg
  • D(U) - 8, Jantar mantar
