& T20 formats and present captain of lucrative Indian Premier League’s Pune
Warrior franchisee Yuvraj Singh also known as Yuvi has seen score of ups in his
cricket career and unfortunately down as far his physical fitness is concern in
very short span of his life. Right now Yuvraj Singh is under treatment in the
Boston,USA and there he is diagnose for cancer. Although he himself on to his
social networking account tweets, his doctors and his father told countrymen
through media that yes he is under treatment for cancer, but its mild and
traced at first stage, so he will recover fully in eight weeks time, then can
be seen again on ground playing cricket. It was earlier in the past mentioned
that Yuvraj Singh had curable tumor in his lungs and will go for treatment
soon.
Talking to media
few days back when news break of Yuvraj Singh having cancer and in Boston for
treatment. Yograj Singh mentioned that this disease is in the family from
generations right from his Great Grand Father, then Grand Father, later on to
his father and even he himself is taking medicines from past almost two and
half decades. Yuvi is a fighter and will come victorious from disease, then can
be seen on ground playing cricket and along with it he does not forget to
thanks BCCI which is bearing each and every expenses of Yuvraj’s medical bills
in the USA. Union Sports Minister of India Mr. Ajay Makan also announced of
Government help in Yuvraj case.
Yuvraj Singh comes
to limelight when he hit six sixes’ in the over of Stuart Board pacer of
England during the Inaugural T20 World Cup in the year 2007, below is stats
relating to six sixes’ by batsman in all the form of cricket in the domestic or
international match, till date-
- 31 August 1968, Garfield Sobers became the first cricketer in the world to hit six sixes’ in a game, it was first-class cricket match and over was bowled by Malcolm Nash.
- January 1985 Ravi Shastri in a match against Baroda while playing for Bombay at the Wankhede Stadium, Bombay hit six sixes’ in an over of left-arm spinner Tilak Raj.
- On 16 March 2007, match between South Africa and the Netherlands at the 2007 Cricket World Cup, Herschelle Gibbs became the first cricketer to hit six sixes off an over in any form of international game and the over was bowled by leg-spinner Daan van Bunge.
- 19 September 2007, during world cup T20 match against England , Yuvraj Singh hit six sixes in an over of Stuart Broad, he was bowling 18th over of Indian innings and all his six balls hit by yuvi out of boundary line.
Yuvraj Singh played his first International match in the One
day format of cricket against Kenya at Nairobi (Gym) on Oct 3, 2000, then in
the year 2003 played first test match against New Zealand at Mohali on Oct
16-20, 2003 and latest format of cricket that is T20 he played first match
against Scotland at Durban on Sep 13, 2007, below is detail of his cricket

As he is under treatment in USA for Cancer and information relating to his treatment is quite positive, this is really good news for all his fans, cricket lovers of country and of course for his family members, still we pray to Almighty God for his kindness on to Yuvraj Singh so that we see him soon playing for cricket crazy country India.
